Topic: Wangan section in fanfiction.net

Maybe there is one or two people in this web that may want to publish a WM fic without the characters or any connection with Initial D.

I think many writers have connected their iD fics with WM and may want to expand their horizons by writing only about Wangan.

Maybe we could request it, or maybe there's no necessity for it. Anyway, I think most or many people only get info from the game and other minor preferences but still crave to write about it (just maybe).

Please discuss.

There is definately a need for a Wangan Midnight section, but don't know how long it will be before someone writes a Wangan Midnight fanfiction

The section could be made next week, or tomorrow, or even in a few hours today.

All it takes is someone to have one chapter of a Wangan fic ready for posting, then you send the request to the mods for a New Section along with that one chapter. They'll make the section very easily.

But you need to have something ready for posting before they'll make a section. You don't even need a full story. Just one chapter will suffice.

Personally, I'm not interested in highway racing as much as mountain racing. Maybe it's because highway racing and drag racing is so common here in my area (and keeps me up at all hours on weekends in the summertime when I hear the riced-up Honda Civics revving up at two in the morning) that it's lost its appeal to me. Plus, I like to be well-versed in the canon before I start a story. I've learned my lesson of jumping headfirst into a fandom without researching the canon. It yields disastrous results.

But it's all right if your story ends up being the only one in the section for a while. There are some fandoms that only have one story in the section here, like Infinite Ryvius in the Anime section, or Startropics in the Game section (which I think is a travesty! Mike was a hero with his yo-yo and the bananas in his ears!).

I might, but I'll finish my other obligations first.

I'd love to make one, but I'm in the middle of making an Initial D fiction right now. Also I don't know as much about Wangan Midnight as much as I'd like because alot of the manga is harder to get around here so I don't have much of a basis. I hate to get my facts wrong....

Actually, I've looked up and down FanFiction.

There's no such thing as ANY video game racing fanfic section. You'd be the first.

I think since Wangan is originally a manga, and some manga titles are being put in the anime section, I think that the Wangan section will be situated there.

In the first place, Maximum Tune (the game) is based on the manga itself.

I think there should be a Wangan Midnight section. I recently got a magnetic memory card for it. The story seems okay. Y'know, if someone went to the support section you can put in a ticket for 'new sections.'

Hello, there. I stumbled upon this forum by curiosity and I'd like to let you know that I already sent an e-mail to the Fanfiction.Net support staff, requesting for a WANGAN MIDNIGHT section to be added in the "Anime/Manga" category of the site.

Also, I'm at work on a INITIAL D/WANGAN MIDNIGHT fanfic slight crossover, coming up with an OC as a main character. Details are sketchy at first, but I'll have the story and its first chapter up by next month (July 2007).

I'm also an avid racer of WANGAN MIDNIGHT MAXIMUM TUNE 2; I usually hang out in a local mall and wilt away forgettable amounts of cash playing the game ^_^

yes we need a WanganMidnight section i wanted to post a fic and an Initial D one i had for a while but i was just too busy. The new arcade game of course rules.
