Topic: Anti-Jack and Kate

Anyone else really despise the whole Jack/Kate thing going on?

Heh yeh. Not that I HATE them... I just find the pair boring. Jack's a dull character and he has no chemistry with Kate. So yeah... That's all.

There WAS chemistry at first but it died pretty early on. I think Jack is Kate's backup guy. Everybody needs a backup when they're in a rocky relationship. The thing is that he knows he's her backup and he doesn't like it much. It'll be interesting to see if he ever confronts her about it. After all, what she's doing isn't fair. She's trying to hold on to both of them. She needs to just pick one and let the other go.

The problem with jate is that he wants her to be a good girl, the damsel in distress in the equation but she just isn't. The reason skate works is that sawyer ain't trying to turn her into something she isn't.

In fact, Sawyer loves Kate for being tough. She doesn't take any of his BS and she'll call him on it. He likes that, no matter what he might say.

I agree with spotpc about Jack being Kate's backup guy. Jack is a nice guy, don't get me wrong, but he just doesn't understand her the way Sawyer does.

I think that Kate knows that JAck cant understand her but she also thinks that she should be with the good guy cos she cant see how being with Sawyer could do any1 any good at all. She wants to feel something for Jack but it's just not there.

Besides Jack had his chances, up to Confidence Man there were plenty of moments when he should've just kissed her and resolved it all nicely, or futher complicate things, either way it's finished for him.

You're right. He screwed it up. He was on a winning streak but he couldn't hold onto it. I think the turning point came when she offered to tell him what she did and he refused. After that, everything just fell apart between them.

Although there was a perfct moment in The Moth even. After she bandaged his arm there both sitting by the fire if he had just kissed her then he would've had her most likely. Sawyer wouldn't be getting bananas thrown at him now, but nope jack screwed it up; i feel no sympathy for him.

That could have gone a long way to fixing things. But the fact that he didn't make a move then shows clearly how much things had deteriorated between them. He wasn't even really trying at that point.

Yeah I could see that, but then there's a chance that she would turn to Sayid. After all he's gone through the pain of Shannons death. Either way I really don't want Sawyer to die.

She might decide to talk to Sayid. But he plays hard to get a little too much to be good for anything else. Jack would jump at the chance to be her shoulder to cry on.

Have you noticed that all the guys seem to have distinctive tastes in women? Sawyer likes smoldering temptresses. Sayid likes wilting flowers. Charlie likes bright and bubbly. And Jack, well, he switches. I just think that's funny.

That may be true. But he's happiest when his woman is happy. That's when he's truly in his element. When he can laugh with her. Sayid is the one who enjoys comforting a damsel in distress.

Of course he'd still want her. He'd just have to adjust. That'll be hilarious. Sayid is the kind of person who's always calm and in control. I'd love to see him go nuts (in a good way). That's something I'd like to see in a spinoff series or something. Even a well-written fanfic would do.

I like Sayid best when he's in a really good mood. Sometimes it's hard to tell when that happens because he always has such a calm look on his face. But that's another reason why I adore him. The one image of him that sticks in my mind was the moment when they first picked up the French transmission. You remember that, don't you? That was the first and only time we've ever seen Sayid laugh. He used to smile quite often, but he only laughed once. That's one of my favorite scenes.

He's lovely, I like it when the raft is leaving and him and Charlie are both shouting and laughing they look so happy it's great.

Like I said, Sayid is cutest when he's happy. I think Charlie is actually cuter when he's down. When he's really happy, he seems like such a spazz. That's a turn-off for me.

Charlie can be funny when he does that. But not nearly as funny as Sawyer can be when he freaks out. It doesn't happen as often with him, but that just makes it funnier.

Someone *cough*KATE*cough* should wait 'till he's aslep then wake him up by tickling the souls of his feet becasue everyone is tickleish there. oh the dimples, he'd be sleeping in shoes for weeks (and is depends on the shoe wether he would even be safe. some won't prtect you)

Yeah, and he'd deserve it too. And if he is ticklish, I'm sure Sayid would like to know for future reference. There's no better attack move than tickling a guy when he tries to hit you. Poor Sawyer. He'd be completely embarrassed. And everybody would make fun of him.

He would have to know his limits with the person. But he's definitely capable. Heck, if he's capable of using bamboo shoots and pliers and... whatever else, then he's for sure capable of tickling someone half to death.

Well, he'd have to have Coyote tied down completely before he started. For that he'd need help. Kate and Jack would certainly lend a hand. And then he'd threaten him saying "I can make you confess with only one finger." And when Coyote said "Yeah, right," Sayid would tickle him until he screamed and cried and said "Okay! I'll tell you! Just stop!" And everyone would be laughing the whole time. Poor Coyote. It would be even worse than what happened before. I should write a drabble about that.
