Ok so I've never actually read the MSB books but were there other kids that were in Ms. Frizzle's class? If so, why didn't they appear in the television show and what were each of their names?

There were quite a few students in the original books. The ones I can think of off of the top of my head right now are Phil, Alex, Florrie, Molly, Gregory, Carmen, Rachel, Shirley, Michael, and Amanda Jane. Arnold, D.A., Ralphie ("Ralph" in the books), Tim, and Wanda were the only ones from the original 1986 book, Phoebe coming along in the second book in 1987 (as the "new kid", of course). Carlos and Keesha I think were only added later on when the show was made (since their first appearance was in 1994, when the show started).

I think the main reason not everyone showed up in the series was that having that big of a class would have been too much, and it was easier to just focus on eight with distinct personalities and archetypes.
