I know, I know. We don't have more than four votes in the Het poll. But I really wanted to get this up. So, here it is, the companion poll to Favorite Het Pairing: FAVORITE YAOI PAIRING! ^_^

Yes, I've said it so many times before, but I'm sure Yami's not the only one with memory problems. Ohmigod! I was waiting for this poll... however, now that it has come... I have no clue what the hell I'm gonna pick! I have three favorites. Yup, you guessed it. They are the dork ships... YY BR SJ (come to the dork side! we have candy and cliches!). Argh. I love them all for different reasons. Well, as for my fav, only BR and SJ would really be tied (i just love YY a lot, but not my favorite). If I had to choose, overall... I guess it would be:

Puppyshipping!

I decided on this one for several reasons. It was my first real shipping I read that stuck and the first fiction that I liked. (Technically, my first was a harry/hermy...yuck... then the SJ). I think I loved them together even before I knew what fanfiction was and how romance fics worked. It must have started way back with my first ever shipping, taito from digimon. I love the relationship Seto and Joey have together. I know, the love/hate thing is generally overused, but I still love it. Puppy is also one of the more interesting fanfic shippings to read. On this site, YY and BR are so... cliche. YY is always the sweet fluff that gets its angst from misunderstandings. BR is the abuse couple that either ends with Kura turning soft or Ryou becoming toucher (I wrote for this couple and loved it. At least I made both change...). Puppy is the most normal of all the shippings. Seto and Joey are the normalest in all the stock characters (a cold-hearted rich boy with a tough past and a sweet, loyal gangster-turned-good). When done right, puppyshipping is wonderful and just awesome. And with this shipping, the "yami" doesn't neccesarily the seme. I've been talking around with friends, and I have come down to the point that either Seto or Joey can be seme... though I prefer Seto. Don't anyone tell me that Yuugi is the seme to Yami.... because... (-shivers-) That's scary. And finally, I just love Seto with Joey. It's that simple XP

You never know...I've seen a few fics with the hikari as seme. Didn't read them, because that means lime and lemon scenes, and I avoid those like the plague. It said so in the summary. True, the yamis are the darker sides, but that doesn't mean the hikaris can't get aggresive every once in a while. It'd be a pleasent surprise for the yamis, I think. Though I doubt Bakura'd go uke without a fight. ^_~

Actually, I find Puppyshipping to be very cliche. True, Seto and Joey are the most normal CHARACTERS on the show, but a romance like theirs is just as overused as Tender and Puzzle. Two rivals, viciously hating one another, as different as night and day, suddenly falling in love? It happens in almost every fandom. If it's not Seto x Joey, it's...

I personally have nothing against Puppyshipping. I just never see fics about them that I actually *like*, so I stopped looking.

yea.... about that.... We cannot judge a shipping purely on the overall fics devoted to them. I have read horrible HORRIBLE fictions that are just so cliche.... God.... It's horrid. (-Bangs head against desk, trying to forget-) But as I was posting, I was thinking more of the better side of the shippings fics. I like reading angst, and most of the romance I look for is angst. YY *is* the misunderstood-angst, BR *is* the abuse-angst and SJ *is* the.... i-luv-u-do-u-luv-me?-angst (cliche cliche cliche). Anywho, the cliche that works out the best is SJ because it is just so flexible. YY is too, however, the pairing has gotten so fluffy, it's laughable. The stories that can come out for SJ are wonderful. Anyway, my shippings have been with me from the start. And I am a stubborn shipper. Once I make a desicion, there's no use trying to change my ways. XP

But remember, even the antidork shippings get terrible fics. Dude, I can't find a good dark or caste (tkb/atem) for my life (these two are my secret obsessions. everything i write has past byy). Dark ends up being stupid and caste.... argh. One had Kura move into the Pharoah's palace, with everyone annoyed, but allowing it to happen! Yo! You cannot do that! I read a really good one-shot prideship once. I really enjoyed it to the point I read some other syy becuz it sounded fun. Sadly, that one sucked and I haven't touched syy in a while.

Hikaris as semes.... Hmm... I think fangirls long ago decided that was a no-no. It's sad, but true. Marik and Malik (another cliche couple) are the sex fiends... So they don't count. Bakura... eh... I see him as doing it for fun and something new. I read a few where yy switch every once in a while, but Yami is seme most of the time. I wrote one that the only full lemon between the two was Yuugi-seme (shivers) even though Yami seme-ed the relationship. (-slaps head-) I have no clue what I was thinking.

Oh of course they're bad fics for every couple! It's unheard of not to have a cruddy fic that puts the pairing to shame. Whether it be dork or not dork pairings. And really, every pairing has a cliche setting, when you think about it. Well...hm, maybe not ALL of them...just the popular ones. Also, Puppy, Bronze and Tendershipping are also the "I hate you so much, you make my life miserable, I can't love you...but I do" cliche. *shrugs*

Yeah, the fangirls decided long ago it was a no no. I know that. Still, it doesn't mean it couldn't happen! It's just hard to see the yamis uke to the hikaris, so we just don't attempt to write it. Isn't the seme usually the one who's taller? Same thing with Malik and marik being sex fiends. True, they'll probably be a lot more rough than the others, but I don't think they'd go at it like rabbits 24/7 like a lot of people write them. Those fics make me sick.

Yes, Darkshipping is also a real cliche one. A lot of them have Bakura forgetting his hatred for Yami to comfort him. (I read a fic like that. Made me sick and twitch.) I don't like Darkshipping at all.

Don't worry, I'm the same way! I adore Conceitshipping, but almost no one likes it. They've never even spoken to each other, they don't belong together, Mai's a b*tch, she belongs with Joey...still doesn't mean I like the pairing less than I did before. You keep loving Puppyshipping! ^_^ Now, if only we could get some more voters...

I concur so badly it hurts! Dark shipping has to be the sickest thing I've heard of, because it's improbable with the hurt done to Yami Bakura. Also, it just wouldn't work! I was watching this Yu-Gi-Oh AMV with this pairing (against my better judgement) just because the title of the song sounded good. AGGGH! I literally was trying to get it to stop, because my computer was so slow and whining in pain! PAIN! That's just weird!

I'm a fan for Yami x Seto, but I wanna think outside just that wall. However, I find it so cute, but if you think about it: Kaiba could never love Yami... He got mind crushed, put in a coma, and Moki gets kidnapped. . I would hate Yami too if that happened to me. It does have possibility though if one allows him room to develope as a character. That and he eventually gets this sorta "respect" for Yami. *sigh* I dunno.

One I should try is Kaiba x Yami Bakura... I'm all over angst and that is just weird enough that it could work. Does anyone have a quick one they can mention in their post? I want to try outside of the box. And that's like combining mine and my sis' favorite characters. Kinda strange, but I wanna know if the bait is worth biting. ^_^

By the way, vote is for Prideshipping.

yami baku: Well, I know.... But I somehow got it in my head one day, and I really started to like it to the point that I really love it. But I would never watch an AMV for it, because that's silly. They would probably come out really bad, or not the type of BYY I like.

OMIGOD! You're a fan of /yamixseto/ but a fan of /setoxkura/? Yo, i mean this in the way of surprise and amaze, but wow! Your semes.... are switched ;) But hey, it's cool. People like what they like.

My friend started a kura/seto once. But I made her delete it because she said she was never gonna finish it. I'm just not really into that couple. It's not horrible, but I still like dark and tender much much more.

Plus, Yami and Bakura hate each other more than any character in the entire series. Bakura's tried to kill/banish Yami and his friends multiple times, and Yami has banished Bakura just as many. Bakura's arrogant, evil, and direspects everything Yami cares for and respects. Yami is a lucky, goody two shoes hero (and we are not counting incidents in the manga and Season 0) that Bakura can't stand. They LOATHE one another, so how can anyone possibly writing about them falling in LOVE? Unless it was AU, or something.

Plus, there's the fact that Bakura's my favorite, and Yami's my least favorite, so yeah. Darkshipping, in my book, is BAAAAAAD.

My vote's on Euroshipping. It was the first yaoi pairing I read, and I still like it. By the why Yami Baku, Koneko Cain writes good Kaiba x Yami Bakura fics. Almost Honest is a really good, funny romance one-shot.

I personally loved Koneko's work. It depends, Yami Baku, on how IC you prefer your characters. I personally love how she writes them. 'Specially Shout at the Devil, 1 and 2. Poor Twisted Me was awesome, though there were more curse words than I'd care to read. *shrugs* Ah well, it was still good. Very angsty, and IC on Bakura's part. like I said, the boy's INSANE.

Of the choices listed, I think I'll toss my vote in for Mutou Yuugiu/Bakura Ryou (Heartshipping). Unfortunately, there's not much out there that's good for them. I really more prefer Atemu/Bakura Ryou (Fragileshipping) but since that wasn't listed, I'll go with my other choice.

I do enjoy Yami no Yuugi/Yuugi, but for a challenge in writing/reading, I'll go for almost anything else. Puzzleshipping doesn't always strike me as something you have to *work* for to make believable. It's just...there. They click so well together. But trying to put one of them with someone else, especially Ryou, and it's just...delicious. NOt because of Yami no Bakura being an obstacle (boring) but because of their personalities and all the lovely plot points that can come up.

Higuchimon is right... YYY is just THERE... I mean, in the last season, when Yami was looking up at Yugi, after he passed out when Osiris went bye-bye, and Yugi was holding him, and Yami was thinking about how strong their bond is, it was just so "AWWWWW!!!"

But, still, my major shipping, beating out my other favorites, Tendershipping and Scandalshipping...

I know. There are too many scenes to count where they're holding each other, taking each other's hand, having cute moments with each other. Yugi sacrificed his soul to save Yami's, and Yami spends the rest of the DOOM arc trying to get him back...The duel when Yugi played the Seal of Orichalcos...*sweatdrops* Puzzleshipping is the only yaoi pairing in YGO that could come true with little to no effort at all. Because all the hints and moments are there. We just need to start changing their motives for these moments from friendship and support, to romance.

Ohmira. You cannot -even- imagine how much fun I was having during the Doma and Memory Arcs unless you are a true blue puzzleshipper as well. Wow. I was on the phone just sqealing to my bestest galfriend during any one of the many YY scenes. In AMVs, most of the footage is usually from the Doma arc, as well as the final episodes. Oh, lordy. My favorite scenes from Doma are:

-Rafael's duel with the duo when Yuugi's soul is taken, as well as the greatest scene EVER in the dub "WHY WASNT IT ME!!!" HAHAHAH. Yo, I love that scene so much. It's more romantic in the raw, where Yami screams "AIBOU!!!" over and over again.

-Weevil's duel against Yami. Wow. That was a powerful duel. I was clutching my heart and everything. Yami scary mad is a very scary thing.

-THE MOMENT YY SHIPPERS DIED! Just after offically defeating Dartz and turning him good, Yami and Yuugi need to go through this portal to get back the others. The moments before this I was squealing, because it was so much YY. Anywho, just as they go through the portal they wrap their arms around each other. I swear, my galfriend, who really doesn't ship the pairing as I do was screaming over the phone. That was an awesome day for puzzleshippers

Haha, you funny. I wish there was ANY sort of proof for Yami x Seto, but sadly there isn't. Again one must twist things and give it a little bit of a push. Like the fact that Kaiba does develope a sort of respect so it's not entirely hate and Yami never gives up on Kaiba...

However, there is never any physical touch between the two, so you people are lucky! . And YEAH! To the Prideshipper!!!!

I made the choice because Puzzleshipping was the first yaoi shipping that I had read and liked. Than came Puppyshipping, than Bronzeshipping, and finally Tendershipping. I also read a lot of puzzleshipping stories than any other so that's why I chose it.

all the time before and after work (with the exceptions of eating and sleeping) is devoted to using the computer. Though this seems losery of me, I got an excuse. My brother is taking it soon, leaving me computerless. So, I'm trying my best to use the computer to the best of my ablity. It stinks that I have no inspiration for writing right now whatsoever. Errghhhgh. Screwdom.

Whenever I'm not eating, sleeping, at school, or plowing through homework, I'm on the computer. Sometimes I go outside (every once in a blue moon) and attempt having a life outside cyberspace.

Yup. And in cyberspace, there's this little thing called a delete button. So, as you're writing and you don't like what you said, all you got to do is delete before you post on a forum/IM/.net site/etc. You can still delete somethings after you posted, but the effect is different. In real life, once something is said, its said forever.

And that's so true... all we've gotta do is delete what we've said. Also, new people allow you to have a new start, something out of the norm. The longer a person is with someone the harder to get along (in most cases, 'cause I'm good with my sister.) The comp also doesn't let people hear the emotion in your voice, so they might not think you're upset as much as you are. Thus, it's easier to talk it out...

Glad, I'm a source of amusement! Even my closest friends find that to be true about me in real life! Haha. Like that time we were playing hide and seek! My friend, the one who was it, had her eyes closed and was trying to tag my sister or me. I was crawling to the other side of the bed on the mattress and my sister jumped on it, then off. I landed face first on the floor, but popped up quickly. After all, I didn't want to be it. ^_^ My friend opened her eyes and asked what just happened. Ra, am I weird... I can do all my own stunts.

Geez, who doesn't love the internet? I bet there isn't one person who couldn't say they don't love it. However, I think we need real life to teach us lessons and to grow and develope. Otherwise, we'd all be cruel on the internet if we just sat here and talked all the time. Right?
