For me it's Link and Taki.

Not really. I don't practice with him. When I do play as him, I only use the Mantis stances.

Yes that is a good stance. I'm not that great with him, and I have the highest respect for anyone who masters him.

I give my props to the person who masters him, but I'd give my highest respect to someone who masters Maxi. It's so easy to button mash with him, but he also has a great deal of depth and complexity because he has 6 stances total. You'd have to put your heart into it in order to master him.

Person I would care the least about when mastered? Necrid. That cheap ** bastard.

Yep yep. Back to the topic though, a slightly more interesting question would be which console-exclusive character was the best? Think of the console wars!

I'd cast my vote for Link despite the fact that I've never tried him. I mean, he uses a boomerang, a bow, and a bomb! The worst? Spawn. Being able to fly just makes him more of the overrated loser that he his.

I think the dude from Tekken for the playstation version, yeah Link does kick **, but the realm of health bars and flat playing fields aren't really his thing, compaired to the one on Super Smash Brothers Melee, the Link on SC2 is a wuss.

Not true on the Link being a wuss in SCII thing! I almost mastered Link, but I then went on to brighter places, like mastering my alltime favorite character on SCII, TALIM! I've seen Spawn and Heihachi, but I still like Link the best(mainly because I CAN play as him).

I HATE TALIM. She talks to herself waaaaay too much. I'm not saying I don't enjoy using Link, he is after all my best charater. I love abusing the power of the Megaton Hammer, and his throw moves.

...I like Talim because

1) She's cute

2) She's got a better moveset than most others

and 3) She's a Filipina (I'm from the Philippines, BTW)

I've never tried Link because I only have a PS2 and SC2 for GC is pretty much sold out right now.

yeah she is cute but still that whole talking to herself thing. Think about everything else she DOES, she probably talks to herself then to. and why do I care? LOL

Talim, Nightmare in SC2, Kilik in SC3. and why?

I found it slightly easier to use talim in Sc2 just because I could do that twirly jump thing easier, Nightmare in SC2 because he combined the best of both Nightmare and Siegfried in that game. Kilik in Sc3, I beat Night Terror and Olcadon with him. Pure and Simple. Though Zasalamel is cool.

don't worry, at least Xbox don't have SC3 either. I pity the GC, I laugh at the Xbox.

i like Talim. I only use Talim or Link. but my brain can make up for it. but, you are right. she does talk to herself a bit too much.

hehehe I'm a fan of hers coz she's Filipino. But yeah she does seem to talk to herself too much... no wait she talks to the wind :)

My favorite team for the group battle mode :

1) Taki

2) Xiangua

3) Talim

I know this may seem like a sucky team, but I did really well as them. In fighting games, I need speed, and unfourtunatly most of the boys and ... unhuman characters are incredibly slow. So yeah...

But you gotta give them credit...there not that bad. Ecspecially Taki!

By the way, my favorite is Maxi, but I do better as Talim. The only character I ever tried to master was Raphael, and I am almost there.

My favorite character's Xianghua 'cause she's good at button mashing. ^^ I also kinda like Taki because of her super-jump move, and Seung Mina because she's amazing. You know what? I basically like all the female characters. Except for Ivy. Not too fond of her.

What are you talking about? Ivy is awesome! I really kick ** with her. I do more so with Voldo, and my best out of them all is Cervantes. What can I say? He's fast, he's powerful, and NO ONE can beat me when I play as him.

Voldo... scares me. o.o His outfits, his weird noises, his posture.... it all makes me very, very disturbed. And Cervantes is pretty flippin' sweet, but it seems like the more I use him, the less amazing I get. So I stick to Xianghua most of the time. ^^

Seung Mina-I used her in Soul Blade and now here in Soul Calibur 2, I've almost mastered her

Ivy- her voice doesn't annoy me as much as the other girls
