Topic: Before the PoT

Ahhh, now I all know that we are all Tenipuri obsessed fangirls/fanboys, but, were ever obsessed with something before Tenipuri? Another anime perhaps or Gaia? Ragnarok got you hooked, or fanfiction?

xD I remember, before Tenipuri, I was obsessed with Yuugiou so much so that it was unhealthy. xD I loved Puppyshipping and did praticlly nothing else but read Puppyshipping fanfics and look for fanart.

But then... THAT came along...

Tenipuri has taken over and my Yuugiou fandom has gone down the drain. T.T

My original One True Fandom was Lord of the Rings.

Then I sort of discovered anime in general. Fullmetal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop had me interested for a while, but I didn't return to fandom-level obsession until PoT...

Sigh. :P

My previous obsession (it changes with the side) was, and still is Beyblade =P I also like Gundam SEED and Destiny and ... I'm currently quite engrossed in Bleach too =D Byakuya x Renji -love- But now because of Rube-chama and her Tenimyu clips and pictures, I can't help but love PoT again ... and WANNA see Tenimyu SO BADLY! ;_;

Before PoT... we're obsessed with... Yami no Matsuei... yeah.... and HikaGo and Furuba... nowadays we're obsessed still with tenipuri... a bit of Naruto, bleach and very... very obsessed with D.Gray-Man... yeah... but we've been into PoT for so long... the longest time compared to other fandom we luv...

Well, there was only one other fandom where I had been as obsessed as I was with PoT. It would be Card Captor Sakura. I blow through fandoms like a hurricane and CCS, Pokemon (who DIDN'T go through this stage?!), and PoT were the only ones where I've just really gotten into them. :D

Tenipuri is the shortened verson of 'Tennis no Oujisama'. Like an abreviation (I did not spell that right)

I got sucked into anime sine I was 5, started with kiddy stuff like doraemon. Then of course there was the moment of Pokemon obsession, followed up by YugiOh. Then came Naruto. My friend introduced me to fanfiction, I only read Inuyasha ones at first. Decided to check out the Naruto ones...the pairing of SasuxNeji sucked me into yaoi and here I am floating in the black hole of our dear tennis Princes ^_^

=]. Before I was just looking for manga to read, because a friend made me read Hikaru no Go, which left me wanting more SHOUNEN manga. So I decided to read TeniPuri, because a friend of my sister had watched the anime, so I decided that it might be a little interesting. Gee. I was wrong. It wasn't just "a little interesting"... it was REALLY interesting.

So basically, my timeline is like this:

TeniPuri Manga, TeniPuri Anime, LJ Communities, FF.NET, TeniMyu, TeniPuri Music, TeniPuri Fanart.

It pretty much consumed my life.

And yes... I have to admit... TeniPuri is the series that got me interested in reading BL. It's one of my favorite genres now.

Prince of Tennis is my favorite even with so many others. My other ones that got me hooked were just some simple ones, Inuyasha, Ranma, Card Captor Sakura, but then there came PoT. The land of infinite bishies.

Before PoT! Nothing... xD no, before PoT i was so obssesed with Digimon (season 1 xDu) *-* and YuGiOh... well, now i still loving Digimon and YuGiOh, but TeniPuri always is before ^O^

Yes Tenimyu is the best ^_^, I love Dream Live 1st *_* I think they picked the Hyoutei cast really well. Can't wait to see dream live 3rd.

I started out as an Inu Yasha fangirl. In fact, that's how I found this site. Then it moved onto DBZ, then Furuba, then Gundam Wing, then Furuba again, FFX and X-2. I finished everything that had to due with Gundam Wing, I have a long story that took about ten months to write that I was in need of finishing. After that I just kind of floated for awhile until I picked up Tenipuri. Right now I'm in Tenipuri mood with a little KKJ mixed in.

All the stuff I'm talking about that I wrote is on a different account. After I finished my Gundam Wing fic, I decided to start all over.

at first i really dont like any anime or manga then i heard about Naruto... i stared watching it and i became really addicted to it... i almost relate every thing around me with Naruto then TeniPuri came along which changed my life.....

I was the same way! Naruto got me into anime and manga, and one time, when I had borrowed my friend's DVD case, I stumbled upon PoT... and I've been there for the past two years!

It's so weird when I think about the times before I knew anything about PoT. I mean, I still remember, after seeing the first episode with Akutsu, thinking that he was the "gray-haired boy who beat Tezuka" that my friend had told me about! I used to confuse Tezuka and Fuji, and cheer for Seigaku when they played anyone.

Now, I'm obsessed with Fuji, and Hyoutei and Rikkaidai are my favorite teams!

Before PoT, there was Naruto. I'm still pretty obssessed with Naruto but more on PoT.

I was just channel surfing one time and I saw the episode where it showed Ann and Tachibana from Fudomine talking about one thing or another. That was my first time but I just changed the channel right away. The second time was, I think, when they were playing against Yamabuki. But I didn't really understand that because I also changed the channel. The third, but REAL time, though, was Seigaku versus St. Rudolph and the one match I really watched was Ryoma's and Yuuta's.

Now, I am a HUGE PoT fan.

I really like 'Ojamajo Doremi' in primary school, -coughs- I was pretty young. =D Oh, and there was a small 'Mamotte! Lollipop' shoujo manga obsession. (Heard it was going to become an anime soon.) And then there was a short 'Kamichama Karin' shoujo manga obsession too. But ever since PoT, I've never obsessed over something as much. xD

And the two are still competing over the rights of inspiring evil plot bunnies in my head.

Gaia was also another one of my obssessions. I started Prince of Tennis and fanfiction when my parents banned me from Gaia.

I grew out of the obsession for about three times now.

Before I first watched PoT, I believe it was Chrno from Chrno Crusade. The second time was from Bleach,I believe. The third time was from Tenimyu...

Kekeke,now I grew out of the Tenimyu obsession for PoT.

I think Prince of Tennis has been the longest thing ive ever been obsessed with, except for Harry Potter. I also got into FMA and Tsubasa Chronicles for awhile. But, Prince of Tennis is probably way up there, though I think Harry Potter will always be an obsession. Oh yea, I was really obsessed with Avatar: The Last Airbender and Naruto for a really long time too. :DDD

Before PoT? Well, I first became an Otaku at the age of five when they showed Sailor Moon on Toonami. After that came Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. I took about half a year "off" from anime and got addicted to HP (I had always liked it, but I got /really/ addicted. I still am now.) and then the wonderful people who helped feed my Potter obsession got me into PoT. Watched the entire series last year in less than a month (it was April, if I remember correctly. Wow, I've held this fandom for a whole year!)

So yeah, I like other animes, LOTS of them, but PoT is love.

Out of Style

For me, Tenipuri was my obsession before Bleach or Naruto was around.

So-

-thinking: there was life before tenipuri? How boring.-

Okayokay, I guess it was- Sailor Moon. I grew up with Sailor Moon and that was a BIG HUGE SUPER LARGE obsession, so I guess tenipuri came and said: 'Move over~" and that became my new obsession and I've loved it ever since.

Before Tenipuri, I was actually a lot more into anime. Nowadays, anime is a passive thing.

I've liked so many series before, but I suppose that my one true fandom is, and I suppose, always will be Yuu Yuu Hakusho. (Nobody seems to know it anymore!)I actually knew more about it and obsessed far more than I do PoT. I knew all the characters, all the opening songs, most of the names of the character songs. I knew and was into the basic yaoi pairings. I own a lovely, lovely doujinshi with my favorite pairing.

Yet... now I'm more into PoT. I don't know where YYH faded off to. I focus more on PoT, but in my opinion, I will never be more obsessed with any show than YYH. And besides. PoT has like... the ultimate yaoi pairing. TezukaxFuji and AtobexFuji. Who can't love a fandom where almost every yaoi pairing has its own special name?

When I was a kid, I went through my stages. When I was very little I watched Card Captor Sakura. I watched Pokemon, but I wasn't into it nearly as much as others were. Digimon was more my thing. Some of the other series that have come and passed are Samurai Champloo, Kodocha, Confidential Confessions (my friends and I were obsessed with that in middle school), Hikaru no Go, Yuugiou, and Ravemasters.

Wow, that birngs back memories.

I was never into Naruto at all, but I LOVE Bleach, Death Note, and Loveless.

Hmm, now that you mentioned it... Let me see.

I first got into anime in my 3rd grade. It was Card Captor Sakura. Then I skipped and found Bey blade and Yu-Gi-Oh! Hence, a year after my anime obssesion died a little but was brought back by Bleach!! (Although, I still didn't memorize all their names). Then I fell inlove with some more (namely; Tokyo Underground, Elementar Gerad, Gate Keepers, Super Gals, etc.). I was sucked in the shounen manga by Get Backers!! (Oh, and my first shounen ai pairs BanxGinji and JuubeixKazuki ^-^). Another 5 months, my anime obssesion was sucked in but was brought back to life by Ghost Hunt!! (Yays for MaixNaru!) and Finally, after all of this, I stuck to my LONGEST anime obssesion EVER. Prince of Tennis. Not one single anime that meets up like PoT. In PoT I actually memorized everyone's name including the rival schools!!! Also, I actually loved them all enough to buy and download their merchandise and CD singles!!

And thus ends my obssesion of other fandoms and stuck with the PoTfandom.
