Topic: Review Requests/Advertising

If you want me to review your story, you must take part in the review exchange I keep trying to get working first.

I will not review your story, even if you've taken part in the review exchange, if your story contains basic spelling or grammar errors. My reviews are meant to tell authors ways they should improve. You are already here and perfectly capable of reading what I've already wrote on the subject first. Please pay special attention to the bit about dialogue, as it is something I am especially bitchy about.

Assume the review will be several pages of me talking about everything I didn't like and nothing else. By asking, you are asking for me to do that. Do not think your story will be an exception, because the thing about exceptions is they're pretty damn rare. I'm sick of morons asking and then throwing a fit because they are shocked I could say unkind things about their stupid story, because I'm only supposed to say that about other people's stories.

Other rules: don't delete your story afterward. Really sick of that. If I wanted you to delete it, I'd tell you to delete it. You can drop it if you decide I've destroyed your will to write and/or live, but don't take it down. And don't use this area to bitch about the review. And don't bother asking if you've ever uttered the phrase "it's just a fanfic" or "it's just for fun". Reviewing your crap is not fun.

If I think your story is decent or good, I'll include it in the first post and start a list, netting you theoretical readers. Consider how long the list is right now before assuming your story will end up here.

Huh. This is convenient.

Could you review my story, Maniac? It's a pokémon oneshot set in the gameverse and I'd like some more feedback on it--only one of the ten reviews I got on it had anything really constructive to say.

Thank you!

Hi, please would you review my fanfic? I would really love some feedback on it, as I have only had one review for it. Thanks!

RavenMewtwo, which story? You've got two up, both of which have one review.

People in general, make sure you give a title or, better yet, a link.

Oops. Sorry I forgot to put the name of the story. Could you please review Raven's Story?

Thanks

Hi, Farla - Been a fan of your work for a while, and Unoriginality has actually been a huge help in the fanfic I've been working on, pointing out mistakes I was guilty of but hadn't seen myself. Not much of my fic is up here, but I'd be grateful if you could give it a look, since it probably still has some glaring logic flaws that I'm missing. And it might kick me into writing mode again.

Thank you.

Hi! I'm pretty sure my stories don't violate anything but the "capitalization of Pokemon" rule (see the other thread for my thoughts on that).

My profile is at http://www.fanfiction.net/~shinyaeon. I have nine pieces there, but three are just songs, and all the stories are short. I'd be honored if you reviewed any of them.

Thanks!

Wow, a way I can get reviews without asking someone I know!

Could you review my story, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Bonds?

And if you feel like reading anything else feel free

Hello, Farla. :3

I would really appreciate it if you went and reviewed Metal Coat (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4590881/1/Metal_Coat). Fear not, there are no Scythers involved! x3

Thanks for your time.

RE: Why people can't have nice things.

Note the edited post. You know that thing I keep saying and saying about dialogue and periods? Yeah, it's not because I'm enjoying typing the words so much. This was not meant to be for boosting your review count. It was for people who actually wanted advice on their stories.

Those of you who really want me to review you can pick your poison from the edited first post. Those of you who just want reviews can go straight for the Review Exchange. Those of you who just want reviews without doing anything can go to hell.

Thank you for the review on my story! I didn't know you didn't like canon characters...I did know you didn't like romance, so I was surprised you picked one of the Rocketshipping vignettes (but then, they are the two newest ones I have there...). Anyway, thanks very much for your comments!

By the way, I think Unoriginality is brilliant.

Oh! I didn't put my user URL in my last post, www.fanfiction.net/~tsubasa95. I've got one pokemon one, but you can feel free and give me some concrit on the other ones, any concrit would be nice.

Who You Gonna Call is a fanfiction of mine that I've been working on. I think it fits the bill of what you like, OT, unique story, not romance, plenty of action etc. I've got a big chapter that's coming up, and since you have such a reputation for overly critical reviews, I decided to see what you thought before I got cracking on it. My story matches all of your outlined requirements, except I use canon capitalization. Thank you.

I left a review of Inheritors for you, and I'm reading Reality currently.

I was surprised you picked one of the Rocketshipping vignettes

I don't know much about romance stories, but I know less than nothing about filks, so...

tsubasa95 (and anyone else wondering):

Your profile link is right there in your name when you post. When I ask for a link, I mean to the story itself.

Awsome Wizard of the East:

Hmm thank you for the review, but its fan fiction

Since I need a constructive critisim on another one of my stories

So kindly go die in a fire.

Darth Meanie:

except I use canon capitalization

But not canon spelling, of course. No, that'd just be ridiculous. And you don't care you're using "non-canon" English capitalization with, you know, the the rest of the story. Yeah, you guys are just making the best case ever that you're doing this because you care about what's correct.

So you won't review my story?

And I have a very good feeling that you hate me (or dislike me to a great extent) but I would like to know what I did wrong to deseve this...

Your writing is crap and your response to concrit is "I don't care." Truly it is baffling why I would not want to waste my time on a review for your story.

Also, Darth Meanie: review replies, like PMs, remove email addresses, so you'll have to email me to talk. Mine's written on my profile for accessibility.

It would really be great if you could review my story, Premier Year, even just chapter 1 will do.

Pls and thanks in advance if you do.

Hey there, Farla. I've been working on this fanfic a lot lately. It's based off an old RP I had with friends years back, so I know where the story is going- but I'm really concerned that I'm not presenting it the right way. Right now it involves possibly excessive background, but without it I'm worried readers would be too lost or confused. I'm also worried about writing style, but not so much on grammar or spelling (though if you see a consistant error, curse me out with all the profanities necessary). I would really like a good Farla review, because this story is very important to me. And... that's all I can think of to say, 'prolly said too much, and now I'm done.

Farla, can you review my story? If you think its bad you don't need to review because I get mad when people do that to my stories. But can you?

...PokEFan22, I think Farla is the last person you want to ask to NOT leave a review if it's bad. Have you read any of the comments made in this forum?

Plus, I wouldn't hold my breath/assume she thinks it's bad either, because she hasn't replied to me in months. I think she got a life or something.

A serious writer on Fanfiction? I never thought I'd see the day. But I am happy I've lived long enough to find you. I can completely understand your plight. If you're going to post something on this website, at least put effort into it.

I only have one story up now, and you can review it if you like. Pokemon, game-verse one-shot, so it shouldn't take up a lot of your time. I use spellcheck, so I assume it's about-steller. :D Besides, I don't mind flames. They're good for s'mores.

Okay, I'm a dumbass. Just read the review exchange post, so I'm sorry for bothering you. I don't have five stories up yet, so that seems rather impossible. I really have to learn to read the ENTIRE post first. -_-;

Actually, I endlessly hold out hope that the idiots who post here without noticing the first post are not actually idiots, but simply people who posted too quickly, and who will shortly edit their post/make a second post indicating that they've since realized their error.

Well, okay, that and I haven't been around. But mostly the first thing.

The review exchange only requires you submit one story. You give five other people's stories reviews.

I would like you to please continue reviewing my story (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5609786/1/The_Shindu_Games).

A.) I have the writing style of a dead pig.

B.) I've got way to much positivity in reviews.

C.) I really like your reviews!
