spotpcThere really is nothing quite like Lost out there. It's pretty unique. However, there are shows that are similarly intelligent and quirky. The ones that come to mind right away are "Twin Peaks" and "X-Files". Both require significant analytical thought and are genuinely fun to watch. Don't bother trying to get them on Blu-ray though. They're both too old to benefit from the improved audio/video quality, since they were never filmed in HD the way Lost is. So the extra money would be wasted. You might also try "In Treatment", "Jericho", and "Dexter". All three of those are newer and could benefit from Blu-ray. But "In Treatment" takes place almost entirely in a psychiatrist's office. It's ALL talking. There are only two or three brief action sequences in the entire series so far, each lasting only a few seconds. In light of that, I'm not sure how much it would improve with Blu-ray video. The audio quality would be the only thing to consider, since you really need to hear everything. I hope that helps. |
