Topic: Isaac Hayes Quits As Voice of Chef

I was looking at my sister's newspaper yesterday, and I found out that Isaac Hayes will no longer be providing the voice of Chef. The reason? It's because of the whole Scientology spoof that the creators made, and Hayes is a big supporter of Scientology. He felt that they were taking things too far. Now, I think this is crap. Here's a man who sang about getting laid all the time, which most people would find offensive, and he's taking offense to this? Come on. They made fun of Christians and gays all the time, and he didn't have a problem with that. So why is he doing this? I can guarantee that this will hurt the show big time. What do you guys think? I'd like to know.

I can garunetee it will. The boys look up to Chef; he's the advise giver. Who will replace Chef; and further more who will the boys ask for advice?

Are they going to replace his voice like in Harry Potter? The new dumbuldoor looked/sounded nothing like the old one, I really hope it won't be the same with Chef. :(

Well, if they do, they might use Barry White. I had read somewhere that Trey and Matt had him as a backup choice if Isaac wouldn't do it. So they might do that. Yeah, I know a lot of people are bummed by the new Dumbledore, but I like him. He did a great job and at least he stepped up to the plate. No one will replace Richard Harris, but at least Gambon is doing the best he can.

They're cancelling southpark, because he left. So there probably won't be anymore episodes, unless they kill off chef.

What? They're cancelling it. That's bullsh*t. Sure, I haven't watched South Park in ages, but that's because of being in college and having to do homework. But still, this will suck a**. What will we do without our beloved South Park? Oh, well, at least I got seasons 1-3 on DVD. This is a sad day for South Park fans:(. I'm so upset right now.

Yeah, I'm glad Family Guy's back, but I don't know if that will happen to South Park. They could always continue the show and just say that Chef left or is out of town. That would work. I don't want them to cancel South Park. That would totally suck.

Yeah, I know. But I can't see Trey and Matt giving up that easily. From what I've heard, Isaac didn't do much in the show for a little while, and Chef was barely on. So maybe they'll just continue in that guise or something. Who knows?

Yeah, they made me laugh. I liked it when he would sing and start to give the kids advice and then he would go off and sing about getting laid. That was funny.

They're not cancelling South Park. This show is running til at least 2009; Trey and Matt signed with Comedy Central for another three seasons. There's no worry about that. But no one knows the future of Chef yet. I don't wanna give away what happens in the Season 10 premiere episode that aired just a few hours ago, in case some people haven't seen it.

Oh, and Barry White can't replace Isaac Hayes as the voice of Chef because, well, he's dead.

Yeah, I know. I forgot about that. But I know that's what they were thinking of doing if Isaac didn't take the job. I didn't see the premiere because I was too tired. I know that Chef comes back and I think they might have edited Chef's voice from past episodes. I'm glad they aren't cancelling South Park. That makes me happy:)

Okay, that's creepy. Chef molests little kids. That sucks. I hate that. They shouldn't have made him do that, especially since he's been the boys' mentor for so long. That is just awful. I think South Park's gonna go downhill from here on out without Chef.

Yes, mhmm, I totally agree. I loved Chef, he just made eveything fit. Now if he rapes kids well, yeah. It's totally bringing down the whole idea of the show. Like, what nine year-old actually gets molested? But then again, what nine-year old dies everyday? Haha, Kenny. I guess we'll just have to watch and see. :(

Well, if he's molesting kids, I don't think the boys will want to go to him for advice for fear of being molested. This is the worst way to send Chef off. I thought they would do something nicer, but that isn't Trey and Matt's style. And judging by what they did, they are very upset. I heard in our newspaper that the reason he quit wasn't Scientology at all, but because he suffered a stroke. I'm more inclined to believe that more than the other thing I posted. It just sounded too ridiculous for him to quit because of an episode. I believe that he did suffer a stroke and maybe his health is declining and he doesn't want to do it anymore. That's how I feel.

Actually yeah. If his health is declining he might feel it right to quit; or take a leaf of absence. But this is just horrible. The plot of southpark and the veiwers might decline by alot. :(

I think when they made Chef molest kids, it was a reference to Isaac Hayes and Scientology. They're saying that Scientology is a group of paedophiliacs (sp?) and that Kyles speech at the end referred to Isaac Hayes leaving the show. They made that episode in 1 week! I guess they must have started after Isaac finalised his quitting. And they can't cancel South Park, season 10 has only just started! I may be in England, but that doesn't mean the internet doesn't have the episodes. Welp, that's my rant over with.
