Okay, I'm not sure if I advertised here yet (my memory sucks). I am Computerfreak101, aka Compy, and I'm the host of the YuGiOh Fanfiction Contest. You may have seen some fics where the author stated that it was for the contest in the Author's Notes. The forum for it is here too, just search by Post Count; we're the top. ^^; Yeah, we loooove to talk.

Anyway, the contest has just ended - about a week ago - and we're starting it again. It's our "Season 3", so to speak. And this is, of course, the advertisement for it, trying to get you to join. XP Feel free to delete this or move it, but I ask that you keep it up for a bit, so people can see it.

In a nutshell, should you join the contest, you'd be given a challenge pairing. It could be anything, yaoi, het, yuri, Ancient Egypt, whatever (though we're staying away from DOMA, since not many people have seen it). You get a week to write a one shot for that couple. Submit it on time, and then the contestants have 4 days to vote on their favorite fic. The one with the least number of votes is eliminated, and we keep doing this until there's only one author left. You've gotta have the time to do this, because (ask anyone involved with Season 1 and/or 2) it is a demanding, and time-consuming thing. Especially once we progress past the Easy Pairings and onto the Medium and Hard rounds. X3 Our Hard Rounds are CRAZY.
