J. IdanianI'm fine to join up with an on-line game, but I'm not sure that it would be effective in this format, as it takes some minutes for the replies to show up. I just think that it'd be so slow as to render it not very fun. Any thoughts on that? |

BerzerkerprimeSpeaking as someone who used to play net-games a lot...Actually, the forums format is about the most ideal. No, it isn't going to run as quickly as a real-time game, but you also don't have to worry about people getting on line all at the same time. Yes, you may have to wait a long time for replies to show up, but it's quite a bit more inclusive as far as game play. You just need patience. It's been a while since I've played a net game, so I'd be willing to give it a go. Berz. *** Berzerker_prime Headmaster of New Olamn forums for the Forgotten Realms on FFN. |

EromancerHoly hell-fiends batman somone actually responded on one of these things!I never had any intention of this being some real time game play anyway. The way I see it, it gives people time to make up nice long battles and give them details and also gives people time to plot out games as they progress. So in a way its also a format for giving rookie GMs a chance at practicing their imaginations and see how fast they can accomplish it. Plus not every can type superfast, so realtime is not needed. |
