Topic: Hawk Nelson
The band playing during the party scene....

Okay. So, I absolutly had no clue who they were, and didn't even know they were an actual band until someone told me.

Anyone who loved that movie/that scene/whatever absolutely NEEDS to check them out. Even if you HATED that scene, look them up.

The song they were playing was called Bring 'Em Out and is originally performed w/ Drake Bell, although they play it live without him now.

They have a new album coming out in April called "Hawk Nelson is my Friend"

I'm going to their concert next week (squeel!)

Why you haven't heard of them probably:

A) you suck (jk, jk!)

B) They're a Canadian band

C) They're a Christian punk rock band too, although more then half of thier songs don't have a whole lot to do with God, Christianity, etc. So give them a chance even if you aren't Christian. :)

Yeah, that's all I have to say. I am now officially in luv with Hawk Nelson, and it's mostly thanks to this movie! :)

i actually wasn't, and it wasn't really because of the movie that I BECAME a fan of theirs. It was kind of because I really like Relient K, and me and my friend were talking about Air 1, RK, Stellar Kart, etc etc. We were trying to figure out what band sang "Everything that You Ever Wanted", and looked them up! So, now I'm a fan, but not before the movie. :( Wish i had been tho. ;)

NO WAY! You know how me and MY best friend became HN fans? Relient K! This is so weird. Wow. I love Relient K so much, they got me really into my faith, I have always grown up in a christian home, but never really respected my faith, untill started listiening to Relient K. I feel like I owe them so much, mostly Matt T. I have seen them in consert twice, the last time I saw them was their 5th to last show with Dave, it was really sad. I have seen Hawk Nelson once, at Revolve Tour! I am seeing them next month for my birthday though. Steller Kart is cool too, I was gonna see them, but the plans fell through. Who else to you like...you know from the Christian Rock genre?

You saw HN at the Revolve Tour?! Me too!!!!!! It was soooooooooooo awesome!!! :)

My friend is like IN LOVE with Matt :)

Hm... what other bands do I like... well, Switchfoot was the first band I listened to (that was Christian Rock), so I owe it to them for getting me into it. Stellar Kart got their new album out last week, and i REALLY want to go buy it. :) Superchick defenitly, really anything that plays on Air 1, and of course RK and HN. =D

COOL! Where did u see it? (if u dont mind saying) I saw it in Philly! Switchfoot is cool too, I saw them with Relient K, jut befor Christmas! They were awsome, John Forman can really work a crowd! He crowed surffed and climed up on to a balcony! It was crumbelievable! Anyway Revolve was really sweet! I have so many new...idols now. Not really just Chad Eastham, the guy who wrote "The Truth About Guys", he was awasom. Revolve also got me into Hillsong United. I might go back next year, I cant wait! So, I would love to hear your Revolve experience! Did you enjoy it?

yeah, I saw it in Portland (OR)

The revolve experience was amazing, but I couldn't go with all of my friends because I got seats ahead of time (with a different group of friends) & couldn't back down on it. Chad Eastham was the best part, cuz who DOESN'T want to know what a guy thinks? And Hawk Nelson, of course ;), I was screaming so loudly. Now my friends and I have an inside joke about "Are you a treasure or a target?" do you remember that?

I really want to see RK and/or Switchfoot in concert, because I've seen a lot of other bands live, but I still haven't gotten the chance to see them! Who have u seen live b4?

Did you hear Natalie Grant's wedding story? That was so sad, but insanely awesome at the same time! (she got the flu the morning of her wedding...)

but, yep.

One of my friends LOVES Hillsong United (have you ever been to one of their churches? I saw a video and it was insanely awesome!)

Yeah, I'm going to go back next year, (this time with ALL of my friends) and I can't wait!!!!!

Wow, sound like you guys had a great time too! Too bad you couldn't all go together. Of course I remember the "Are you a treasure or a target" thing. Chad had some great stuff, I am always saying hellrow and asking people if they knew that 8 out of 10 highschool age boys think they have a uterus! Hawk Nelson was great at Revolve! I feel bad saying this but at first the only reason I went was to see them, but they didn't play a whole set. When I went is was the day after Halloween, and Jason came out in a pirate costume! It was awesome. One of the many reasons I love bands like Relient K and Hawk Nelson is because they have GREAT PERSONALITYS. Yeah, I did get to hear Natalie’s wedding story, she’s a great “story teller” by the way, I could just see the whole thing happening in my mind! I haven’t seen too many bands…really, I saw Relient K twice, they were appearing with Ruth and Switchfoot the last time. The first time I saw them they were with Mea and Sherwood. Then it was Hawk Nelson at Revolve with all the other totally cool people (Hillsong United, Natalie Grant .ect. you know…you went). None of the other conserts I went to in life matter now…it was Brittany Spears and the Backstreet Boys when I was like 8! They don’t count. I hope to see more bands soon (Christian and non-religious based). Like I said before I might get to see Hawk Nelso again for my birthday! Maybe this time I will get to meet them! The only sad part it I will probably never get to meet Skwid (Aaron), since he left. I hope this new drummer (his name starts with a J…I cant seem so remember it right now!) is just as cool as Skwid.
