Hi everyone, Co-Host Kari here. This is the official Season 6 Extensions Thread.

Here's how this works: If you realize you're not going to finish your fic in time, just come here and request an extension. Tell us why you need one. In order to be granted an exention for your fic - you get three extra days - you need to have a reason that is acceptable. (See "Rules" thread.) Otherwise, Compy and I have can deny your extension, and you need to get your butt into gear. Example:

Acceptable Excuse: I have 345984375 exams that I need to study for.

Acceptable Excuse: My family is going on vacation for the next week.

Unacceptable excuse: I am lazy and can't be bothered to think.

Unacceptable excuse: I have no ideas lalz

Feel free to PM either of us with questions. As Host and Co-Host, Compy and I have the right to accept or deny any extension request. (Though we're both reall chill, and will probably accept. ^^)

I desperately need that extension this round. I have a ton of exams and papers. My quarter (it mocks me really) ends June 11th and I'm going to be busy the entire time.

I have activites on after school ALMOST everday, and over the course of the weekened, plus, 2345409094504 (*okay, I lie, 4) always seem to want to be on the computer when I need it. I'll try not to use it, but, yeah....

i'm a total idiot. that being said, i need an extension.

Reason: this night i shifted my legs because they were starting to cramp in the position they were in and due to the shifting my laptop fell to the floor from my lap and consequently my bed and the internal part of the screen shattered so i cant see half of my screen. i really really need the extension because i dont know when i'll have time to sneak onto the pc like i'm doing at the moment *has to scamper off...parents will be up in less than half an hour*

I'm going to need an extension. My computer's been dead for two weeks and I might not be able to get it actually fixed for another week and a half or so. So, for now, I'm at the library every day for an hour, and it's closed on the weekends anyway. I'll be having to write the fic out by hand, then type it into the computer here to post it. I *MIGHT* be able to have it ready tomorrow, but I highly doubt it.

I'm gonna need that extention. What with my grade 12 provincial English exam this week plus preparing for two auditions, I'm completely wiped out. I barely got a chance to do anything but schoolwork and music so far this week.

Compy knows the story, but here's a brief description so it doesn't look like random favouritism. The last few days was a combination of being a house guest entertainer/chauffeur/family outings. I thought I could finish it today/tomorrow, but I just got my empty wallet returned to me and I'm a bit shaken up by it. They couldn't even leave the goddamn pin I had bought for my friend from the con... So... yeah.

I am needing of the extension. T3T We're currently trying to move my sister into the spare room, and there's a lot of crap to be moved, as well as furniture, so I won't have time to finish my fic today. Is ok, ya? D:

I'm about 70% done with my fic but I have a huge test tomorrow to study for (curse you, summer classes!) and it's five chapters and I've barely just begun a-and...carboxymethycellulose and phenobarbital! ;___;

I am so sorry...I thought I could get this done earlier but time is my worst enemy (as well as my overcomplicated brain coming up with overcomplicated plots DX) and in the end, school always comes first. ;-;

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to withdraw from this contest. Between a death in the family, another in the hospital, more still that are staying with me, and a demanding school schedule, I don't have the time nor inspiration to go through with this. The phrase "running around like a chicken with its head cut off" springs to my mind. I didn't want to just abandon this like a jerk. I'm sorry if this has caused any trouble, and I hope to be able to participate in a future contest. (I was told that this was the place to post if I were to drop out.) ~TAO.

Kelpy has an extension because she is currently menos, that is sans, that is without, a keyboard. And a jerky mouse. I think extension would be due the 30th, and that's what I'm going to say until Compy comes back and tells me otherwise. (It's either the 29th or 30th anyway.)

Can I get an extension? My friend is coming over for a week tomorrow. I would like to be a good friend and spend time with her, rather than on computer (plus mom wouldn't like me ignoring my friend). Besides we see each other rarely, and the whole week is full of activities: trips to Helsinki, to cinema, to amusement park, we go swimming, bake something, watch the whole Lord of the Rings -trilogy, go shopping etc.

And then there's this little thing called yaoi. ^^ My friend isn't very aware of the fact that I write fanfiction. Firstly, I wouldn't like to start explaining to her why I write two guys in love (it would get so awkward). Secondly my friend, she likes to tell stuff to people, she can't keep secrets, and I do not want her to spill that out to my mother. ^^'

That sounds find to me, having a friend over for a period of time always makes it awkward to sit down and write for a period of time. Due the 30th. (Or the 29th, but extensions are 4 days usually, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to count Friday and - I think it's the 30th, but Compy will come back by Sunday and correct me if I'm wrong.)

Yeah, so for round two I defiantly need an extension. I have next to no computer access for the next week as my laptop has gone for repairs (I'm using a public computer right now) so posting will be an issue. Having an extension would be really, really appreciated!

*shuffles in* Bleh, I have a major test on Tuesday, my friend's birthday is on the 26th, I'm going to be working during pretty much most of my spare free time when I'm not in my summer class, my own birthday is coming up really soon as well which I must somehow organize into something resembling a planned-out party, and I still haven't found a suitable dress to wear for it! ;______; *DESPAIR*

(The bold caplockyness looked fun and I wanted in. ^^) (The end of term is on Friday, why oh why must they pile assesment on us. How I loath maths! Anyway, to cut a long story short if I fail this next SAC I fail the outcome, (or unit, I'm not sure and don't want to be,) bad things happen. So I need to devote myself to the diratives of logs, expodential and circular function and the graphs and what not of said mathy items. The last SAC rendered me literally speechless. *Joins Sunshine and gets on knees* Please.)

Sorry, I'm going to have to ask for one - I've been going from interview to job interview (well, not quite - I have a job but I also have contracts within my job that I need to go in for). It's been a bit of a pain between that and getting other requirements for the job like a renewed CPR certificate which requires a very, very long class. X.x

I'm going to try and get it done for tonight but in case I don't make it on time, I'm hoping I won't have to worry about the midnight deadline...?

Sorry, compy. I spent the week at work, yardwork, cleaning, and working on my film (the one that forced me to ask for extensions in April when I was filming) I had planned to finish tonight, but I'm dead tired from all the stuff I had to do around the house today, and it would be much nicer to have an extension than cram my fic in the next four hours while I try not to fall asleep on my computer.

you have your extensions, guys... dunno why Compy didn't say anything here, I think she forgot?

You would think after five seasons I would have sussed out exactly what time zone the comp/forum ran on and sync that with mine, but no, the thought never strck. So, how much time do we have left, or what time is it where you are Compy, or Hika? I've got a bit to complete but I also need to sleep soon.

A round about way to ask how long do I/we have left.

it's 10:30 am on compy's time zone, 8:30? on Hika's. Regardless, I'll probably lock the thread tomorrow morning, unless someone else locks it tonight. If they lock it at midnight, you have 14 and a half hours.

-meant to post this yesterday- I'm really miffed with myself, but I'm going to have to drop out on the second round again. T3T My fanfiction mojo is just...dead. Any writing energy I have is going into my original fiction stuff.

And then there's the room clearing (not an easy task xD;), and the brushing up on my art skills for the start of the next college year, and the trying to find a paying job. -mumbles a few other excuses then trails off-
