Okay, this thread needed MAJOR Spring Cleaning, so I deleted the thing. I realize this thread is nothing serious, but the loophole thing was getting out of control, and I'm sure everyone was tired of the virtual SWAMP this used to be, and not knowing for certain whether or not you got a character you requested, since it took so long to update the thread. Hopefully starting over will fix that.

For all those who don't know, RPs are definitely in the Top 3 Things To Do in this forum, especially the Chat. Heck, this forum was originally just my (soap opera as it is) RP, before the contest moved in. So, for RP purposes and just for fun, here you can "claim" characters from any fandom you can think of. You just post, say, "I claim *insert name*," and either I or Roojii (who was called to duty since I really left this thing to dust a while back) will tell you if you got them or not. Usually, you will, unless you break The Rules.

The Rules:

1. There is no limit to the amount of characters you can have IN GENERAL. There is, however, a limit on how many PER FANDOM.

2. Depending on the fandom, you may have up to two/three characters.

Example 1: I claim Light Yagami from the Death Note manga, and I claim L from the Death Note anime.

Example 2: I claim Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter books and I claim Sirius Black from the Harry Potter movies.

If the fandom of your choice has a movie/anime/TV series to go with its book/manga/comic book (if we're talking Batman or something), then you can choose another character from that.

3. Your character MUST BE FICTIONAL. Don't claim real people.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO IS:

1. Claiming characters from multiple books of the same series.

I claim Severus Snape from Prisoner of Azkaban, Ron Weasley from Goblet of Fire, and Luna Lovegood from The Deathly Hallows. NO.

2. Claiming a character from multiple adaptions of the book/movie/etc.

Person 1: I claim the Joker!

Person 2: Then I claim him from The Man Who Laughs!

Person 3: Then I get him from The Killing Joke! NO.

3. Claiming a character from multiple adaptions/sequels to the movie/anime/etc.

I claim Kakashi from Naruto, and Deidara from Naruto: Shippuuden. NO.

4. Claiming a character from a video game.

I claim Video Game!Roy Mustang! NO. (And this applies to multiple characters from different video games.)

5. Claiming both an anime character and an anime movie character.

I claim Naraku from Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru from the first movie and Miroku from the second and Sango from the third and Kohaku from the foruth. NO.

However, if the movie, for example Death Note, was made in *live action*, then you can claim it. But animated movies are too close to the anime, and there's so many that it'd soon get out of control.

COMPLETE CLAIM:

You are allowed to claim ONE character completely. That means you own him/her/it in all forms they are in. Book/movie/TV/video game you completely own that character. It's first come, first serve, and no ** if someone complete claims a character you wanted. Remember, you can only do this ONCE, so choose carefully.

That's all I can think of, regarding the rules. If you have any questions, ask them here, and depending on what it is and what the answer is, The Rules may be updated. And guys, please, don't spend all your time thinking of loopholes and ways around this. This isn't serious, you're not REALLY owning the character, so it really doesn't matter if you don't get a character. What I mean is, don't say, "I CLAIM HATORI SOHMA FROM THE KOREAN DUB!" or crap like that.

Here's how Reclaiming is going to work. I saved everyone's character stats from before, but you're going to have to come back and tell me which form of the character (book/movie/complete) that you want. Everyone else, leave the characters below alone until we can get a form for them. If, after a few weeks, no form's been chosen, I'll delete the names from the lists and let you guys choose. But for now, just focus on your own characters before claiming anyone else's.

AND A *STRONG* FRIENDLY SUGGESTION! Yes, you guys are allowed an unlimited number of characters....but you might want to do some Spring Cleaning of your own in regards to your lists of characters. It'd make things a lot easier. (Don't think you have to, though, like I said, friendly suggestion in bold.)
