I can't imagine Sasuke being a female... I can understand Naruto and Haku, since with his Sexy Jutsu, and Haku's feminine body... but I've seen some that had FemGaara/Naruto and FemZabuza/Naruto.

I don't get feminizations. It's like an excuse to not write yaoi--"I like these characters, but I don't want them to be gay. AHA! I'll just give one of them breasts!"

Someone who likes extremely polarized gay men (very uke/very seme), perhaps, and finds it easier to just make the "girl" an actual girl, maybe? I suppose that's the other half of the spectrum. I'm not sure I really like that, either, as it arises from the assumption that there's always a "girl" in gay relationships.

That said, you could always be a completely different type. I really don't know. I'm just pulling guesses out of my **, really. '3'

Well, I'm kinda odd. I never really viewed Sasuke as a man ever since he stopped thinking for himself. And I always viewed Ten-Ten as one of the manliest characters in the series... Perhaps more manly than Gai, and that guy hatched out of an egg of manly awesomeness.

Wah, don't get me started on Tenten. She really has no character except what the fans put in, so opinions of her differ so widely... it's worse than my beloved Kankuro. I've spent so much time trying to understand the minor characters, and Tenten... is such a blank slate... D:

Those are the samw feelings I have for Suguru Fujisaki from Gravitation. He is so minor that I wouldn't be surprized if the creator forgets to draw him in the band during a concert. And he's in the band with the main character too! So depressing sometimes.

Poor fillerific characters. You just have to pity them, sometimes.

And the not being drawn in thing... there was actually an OP (or ED, dunno) where there was one of those group shots, and Tenten wasn't in it. xD How cruel is that?

And yet one of the shows Kishimoto reserects Sasuke's dead aunt and has her bump into Shikamaru. That is so sad.

That was just creepy. Filler is truly the stuff of nightmares.

My favorite Filler Ep was the mask... It was just full of win. Oh and the one where there's that chick who wants to kill Kurina. That one was full of win for Burning Man.

I think there's this one where Naruto brings up the kiss between him and Sasuke because some villan kills her targets with kisses. My cus saw it and she just made it funny:

Villan: Kissing!

I remember that--I dragged up the kissing scene on YT and watched it, purely for the lulz. And boy, was it lulzy.

Done properly, I think gender-bending allows you to explore the characters in a really neat way. ^^ Unfortunately, a lot of the fic I see uses genderbending to introduce a a Gary Stu/Mary Sue into the works. (IE, a lot of the fics with fem!Naruto.) That said, I've seen some really well done fem!Naruto too. (There's this one particular Shika/Fem!Naru fic that had just wonderful, spot on characterization.)
