Topic: DVDs.

This thread can be for the DVDs, any special features, extras, release dates etc.

To start us off - I loved the cover art on the Season one boxset. The hologram of the cast then tilt it and its a Wraith. Also thought the sleeve to hold the booklet was novel - the cutout of Sumner and the female Wraith Keeper.

I just watched the Special Features the other day. My favourite was "Behind The Stargate - Secrets Revealed". It is so hilarious.

Does somebody know if there are any virtual Easter eggs in the boxset?

I don't think there are any Easter eggs, well not on the season one set anyway. Usually they say that their is an easter egg on the box so that fans know to look for it - like they did with SG-1 season 7, i think it was.

I thought that there were loads of extras for a 1st season boxset. I mean look at SG-1 - they had none in their 1st one.

I just wanted to let everyone know here that probably hasn't known already that the release date for Stargate: Atlantis season 2 is March 6th. I've already got it on preorder. There are going to be commentaries on every episode for season 2...unlike season 1 where they didnt' have them for everything. So, go out and preorder your copy.

Panic averted - its the 26th of Feb for the UK release of the S2 boxset. Phew. Worried there, I canna wait any longer to watch it!

In Germany it's March 5th. But the price is killing me. It's EUR 80,95 on Amazon.de. That's $US106,34/£54,21/$AU135,54. :-(

I just don't have that much money.

And I'm still ** about the price of the season 1 boxset. Every other country sells them for up to 40 Euro at most. Just in Germany you don't get it under 60 Euro. And that's even cheap. I saw it in a store last week and it was 100 Euro.

And that box set is out for 3 years now. How long will I have to wait to finally be able to afford it? :-( I just can't afford to pay more than 30 (or, well 40) Euro at the most.

That's just so unfair in America it's only 25 Euro for the Season 2 and 34 Euro for the Season 1 boxset. But I can't watch American DVDs on a German DVD player. :-(

Sorry about this. This just really annoys me.

Oh don't worry about it. The DVDs are expensive, in the UK they are about £50.00. They will always be cheaper in America, everything always is. I try to hold off buying them until they go down in price, but I had some Christmas money left over and hadn't bought a boxset in a while and treated myself to the S2 boxset, because I can't watch the episodes on tv as I don't have Sky. Otherwise I would have waited.
