I was watching Risk it All again today, and I keep thinking that there really was more behind that opening scene with our fave couple being interrupted by Moseby. When he asks where they're going, it seems to melike Maddie gives a too-simple answer. When she simply says "Home," it seems like she's trying to OVER simplify the matter, like a case of protesting too much (as Shakespeare and Quirky Del would say). And as Maddie is saying "home," Esteban looks at her with a slightly nervous look, as if he were wondering whether she would give them away. Then, when Moseby looks at him for an anwer, he looks a little panicked, like he's trying to come up with an excuse on the spot.

-In a later scene, Esteban says "Maddie will get fired and live poor and alone," the fact that he mentions "alone," could show that it is important to him that she live out her life with someone. Maybe this is on his mind because he's subconciously hoping it will be him.

-Also, we've noticed that M/E are standing next to each other a lot of the time in various episodes, but in the Risk it All caps, I noticed the blocking of the characters is usually M/E really close together in part of the shot, and separated by a significant distance from any other characters.

In the pic, our couple is so close they're almost touching, and London is far away from either of them.

-At the end, right after Moseby says that it makes it a little better that they never meant to send the e-mail, they make practically identical movements. Both are looking down and to their right, and at the exact same time lift their heads up to look at Moseby.

"Esteban replaced the Tuck character that appeared in the pilot episode as Moseby's #1 Bell Boy."

Ok, so in that episode, Maddie was clearly supposed to have a crush on Tuck. She got all nervous and dropped her candy when he approached her at the beginning, then he says something like "Hey baby" or whatever when he tells her about the wedding, and at one point Zack asks (in reference to Maddie's perference in boys) "What does he have that I don't have?"

So...if the Tuck character turned into the Esteban character, it seems logical to me that Maddie's crush on that character would still be in place. If the writers intend to have them get together in end, I'm glad they're being more subtle about it now than they were in the 1st episode, because it would make the payoff so much more gratifying than if it were obvious to us from the beginning.

lol, and also just reflecting on your first comment, when Mr. Moseby says, "Where are you going?" They like totally stop dead in their tracks and turn around with this hilarious "caught" look on their faces. I mean you should see how huge Maddie's eyes are.

Also when Maddie spots Esteban, and calls to him to tell him about the email, just look at her eyes. They just totally light up, and she's so happy. Because he brightens her day, of course.;)

But it's totally right when you say that it's good that they made it more subtle!

I wanna watch another episode! Cable needs a channel for the Suite life and the Suite Life only.

In French 101 when Maddie comes in carrying London's bags and talks to Esteban for a moment, then goes down the steps to set the bags down, and then (I think) London yells. Esteban looks at Maddie...and she never knows it...why? The look on his face is debate: "should I go out there and face whatever's wrong? Or should I stay here and make sure she's safe..."

lol....just had to mention it to someone...

I just watched that part and I was like. "Awwwww......" lol:)

sweet.

Here's my rundown of the new episode Back in the Game:

-She made sure to tell Esteban thanks for his help, but we didn't see her thanking anyone else.

-Just before they started shooting the "dream sequence", the two of them were off talking and smiling together while everyone else what at the front desk. What were they so smiley about, I wonder?

-The hand she had on his arm after they started filming.

-When they were watching the final product, she got all giggly after the shot of Esteban being confused. And when she looked at him first when she asked "What do you guys think?" Also, when she said "Thanks to you guys I won," she was looking at him for the majority of the time she was talking. She only looked at the others when she was almost done talking.

-Lastly, when London and Lance said they wanted to do a sequel, Esteban shoots a concerned glance at Maddie, like he's concerned about how the idea will affect her. He does it when Lance says "We should shoot it in the pool," and again when he stands up to follow London, Lance, and Moseby. Nobody else seems to be this concerned about her feelings...

Also, after Muriel falls on the thieves and the foursome does the special handshake move, watch what Maddie does. Even though she's doing the move with Zack, she immediately smiles over at Esteban, and it's only after she catches his attention, and a smile in return, that she looks back down at the twins. Goes to show whose attention is most important to her, eh? ;p

PS: Aeris, have you gotten any farther in Elan, Elan?? I can't wait for the last chapter. I'll be so sad when it's done!

LOL!! Just kidding. I'm sorry I haven't been working on it!! I know how it feels to be left in the dark like that, and yet that's not enough to make me sit my butt down and type!!

Before I go, here's something I noticed in TSL. In the Hollywood episode, Maddie came in the door talking about how bad the blizzard was outside. And Esteban did the same thing in the Christmas episode, so, yeah..they are thinking/acting alike!

"Disney changed their schedule, as they do sometimes, and moved I Want My Mummy from May 11 to May 18!"

I guess we'll see what happens tonight.

But it comes on again this Wednesday, May 23 at the regular 7:30/6:30c time, and also that night at 11:00/10:00c.

The next showing after that is this Saturday, May 26th, at 8:30/7:30 pm.

Hopefully I'll be able to find some screencaps or maybe the full vid online somewhere soon.

Again, they're really comfortable with each other... I love it when he grabs her arm, just like she usually does to him.

She seemed really interested in hearing about the history of the mummy, and joined his side right away on the issue.

I love it how he yells for her, it's so cute. :) "M-m-m-m-m- MA- ma - MADDIE!!"

lol. And when they leave at the end, she follows him.

One more thing, I know this isn't proof, but I love it when Maddie says. "Or, it could just be Maddie and Esteban...." I just sounds so right when she says their names together! lol, I'm crazy I know...

Also, when the mummy (Cody) came into the lobby, I think I saw his arm around her, or at least it was that hand-on-the-back thing that he does with her a lot.

And when they were fighting over the hat, I was like, "Ahh, they're practically holding hands!"

Oh, yes, and I agree that when she said "we could be Maddie & Esteban," I totally heard it with quotations around the two names, as if "Maddie & Esteban" was like, an official phenomenon. But yeah, it was neat to hear the phrase we use on here all the time actually being said on the show.

I can't wait to watch it again tonight so I can look for more signs of their looove!

I'll stop before I make a fool of myself. Perhaps it's too late.

I loved the "M-m-m-m-m-m-MA-MA-MADDIE!" too! It was great.

And even in the beginning: "Ow! what is this, slap Zack day?"

lol, great episode. And wasn't Esteban's hat to die for?

And Captain, you've done it again! You're not crazy...if you ask a therapist, they might say that her reason for saying "Maddie and Esteban" wasn't to explain something to the stupid man, but because deep down, she liked the sound of it. lol, I should be a therapist. jk!!!!!!!

Also, I noticed that when they were switching Cody with the doll, and Maddie growls at E to hurry up, he doesn't get offended or anything. He's just like "okay." If it had been London yelling at Maddie, or Cody yelling at Zack or any other two characters, I would imagine that they'd talk back and be like "Don't yell at me." But Esteban's just really cool about it, maybe b/c he just wants M to be happy. ;)

At the end, when Maddie says to Dakota that's what he deserved for taking the treasures, Esteban leans in over her to nod his agreement.

And as captain lyd said, when everyone walks off in different directions afterwards, she goes in the same direction he does. I hope they keep giving us good moments like these in the next episodes.

In the end Esteban yells. "I'll protect you!" He's holding Zack, but when he says that, he looks straight at Maddie.

Maddie says, "Oh that would so put a damper on prom..." Esteban starts to hurry, and seems to agree with her... maybe he's going with her:)?

Also after Maddie said when we put the mummy on the plane, Esteban quickly informs her that. "you can't get there by plane. At the dock, WE have to take a ship, train, and a #5 donkey." It kinda seems like he doesn't mind the fact that he and Maddie will be traveling a long time together. And Maddie grunts in frustration, but she doesn't say anything... maybe 'cause she doesn't mind either, hmmm?:)

Oh and one more thing about the, "We could just be Maddie and Esteban" thing... She says it in the most like, "Duh, it's so obvious" way... kinda like. "Why wouldn't it be, we're always together" lol, okay, getting carried away, I know:)

Here's a scene I found in "It's a Mad Hotel" that has a lot of M/E implications, and quite a few bonafide moments. OK, so it's the scene where everyone splits into pairs to search in different rooms. This description of the scene is kinda long, but fun to think about. Ok, here goes the play-by-play.

1.) When London takes Esteban's arm and says "If you keep this up and you're getting a sports car," Maddie gets all saracastic when she goes "You guys are gonna make a great team. Too bad you're looking in the wrong place." Why is she suddenly so saucy? Maybe because she's jealous that London got to Esteban's partner.

2.)After she says that, Esteban looks at her with this confused, slightly upset look. I know it's probably b/c he doesn't want to "not" find the money, but you could say it's b/c he doesn't want Maddie to be angry with him.

3.) When M explains she thinks the $'s in the lounge, and Zack goes, "I like the way you think, sweet thang." Maddie only glances at Zack briefly, then immediately shoots this taunting look over to Est. and London. It's very possible that the look was directed mainly to E, as if you to say "I bet you wish I were with you, now."

It's like she wants to punish him for pairing off with London.

4)The possibility is even higher when we look at what she does after Cody says "You like anything she says, desperate thang." She looks at London and Esteban, and her eyes are focused straight across, and slightly up from her. Esteban is straight across, and taller than her - so it's definitely him she's looking at. And she's giving that same, taunting look again.

5)After she does that, Esteban again has a disturbed look on his face. Maybe because he doesn't want to be separated from M? And when Maddie says "We'll go our separate ways and meet back in an hour," she looks at Esteban the entire time she says it. Her eyes move over to London exactly once during the line, and then go back to E again.

6)Next, when Zack says "Finders keepers, losers weepers," and everyone looks really excited just before they run off, M & E lock eyes YET AGAIN. They have been looking at each for for almost the entire scene, and finish it off in the same way.

...So there it was. A seemingly innocent scene that turned into a big M/E fest. ^_^

I totally wish that Maddie was in the episode "Loosely Ballroom" so that she could be Esteban's partner. That would've been really cute.
