But seriously, I don't think there's any way Amy could love someone Luca doesn't like. Yes it sounds silly but I really think that they're just that close.

But I'm getting a kind of strange visual. Of a... sequel? Where Takeshi is the manager of his own team and returns home to his lovely wife Amy. And the audience goes *gasp*.

I'd rather see that than nothing about Amy and Takeshi's relationship...

The thing was, I think, he matured in the process. The hormones changed winds and he got attached in a way that was beginning to get in the way of his career. The stubborn thing that he is, being dumped was the only thing that could set him straight. But I think ending Takeshi's dramatics was an endeavor too great for Fantine, too bad though. But I feel I'm reading a bit too much into this :P

I think... I'm starting to see the appeal of Takeshi and Amy being together. They'd work together... but... that doesn't mean they have the chemistry (whatever sense that makes). What I'm tryng to say is, if there was potential for romance they would have realized it by know and like I said before, Luca doesn't like him.

Yes, I believe Liz's backstory was that she went to an orphanage in Brazil. According to a recent episode the orphanage she grew up at was demolished. That may or may not have been one of White Snow's tricks to screw with Team Satomi. That will probably get cleared up in a later episode.

And I seriously doubt Takeshi realizes how "great" Liz is. They may be teammates and friends (somewaht debatable), but they do get on eachother's nerves. Liz doesn't like it when Takeshi goes renegade and Takeshi doesn't like it when Liz yells at him. Even if they had some kind of attraction (which might be possible considering the recent signs) their getting-along is always so short-lived. I'd HATE to see them as a couple.

Anyway, there was this part in an episode about 2 weeks ago where Amy was about to go back home, and Liz and Jesse wanted to make a lunch for her, and Takeshi stood there, holding a cookbook Liz MADE him hold, and he was staring at her the whole time.

Apart from that, when they all ended up on the floor after a blast came from the oven (what idiots...but hey, i shouldn't be talking becuase I burnt toast once...I knew I should've gotten the chef to make breakfast for me that time...I'm so pathetic...), they all ended up on th floor, and Liz was on Takeshi's lap...

So, yeah, it would be like World War III if Liz and Takeshi hooked up, but imagine what their brats would be like...that gives me nightmares!!!!

Liz and Amy. I know a lot of people are all "ew lesbians" and "you're a pervevert", but I've never really seen it like that. I know its a bit more obvious now that all those "cute scenes" between them were sisterly and all that. I still think its a cute idea though.

He was DISTRACTED. Thats how people tend to be after they've been dumped (after the crying and all that). He was thinking about what Fantine said to him (about Liz "needing" him and all that) and trying to figure it all out.

And its not like Liz was the only one bossing Takeshi around. I mean, wouldn't YOU want to boss around a world champion athlete?

Coincedence. After an explosion you don't choose where you fall down. I mean sure, it may have some "foreshadowing" for what the creators have in mind, but...

I mean I know its obvious and all that what's being planned, but that doesn't stop me from hating them setting up my favorite character with my least favorite character. I'm just going to fight the hinting with logical... but all the same, bullsh*t explanations.

Liz and Takeshi is official cannon now, they hook up ant the end of the series.

Just imagine though: Liz and Takeshi aren't a very good pair becuase of their tempers. Liz can be nice and she's pretty, but she gets mad too easily. As a matter of fact, I think she's gotten mad, annoyed, or just plain ** on almost every episode of IGPX there has been! Takeshi seems like the laid-back, lazy bum (which he is) and I think Liz will have to beat his ** just to get him to help her clean the house if they get married!

Apart from that, Takeshi seems very distracted (like Chibirobot said) after his break-up with Fantine, and it may be too early to decided whether or not Takeshi is ready to get into another relationship.

If Production IG just thrusts Takeshi into a relationship with Liz, that seems too skeptical becuase it has been only a small amount of time, and that's going to prove that the relationship Takeshi had with Fantine must not have been that important to him as it may have seem.

Other than that, it just seems too uncommon in the real world (I heard that Production IG likes to maintain the whole "real-lifestyle" thing in IGPX).

If it weren't so damn clever, I'd be **. No wait, I'm ** anyway... :P

Oh boy...it's been so long since I've come back!!

I took a vacation from IGPX and completely forgot about everything, so apologies to everyone! Well, if anyone's still interested in this thread, then we can revive it! If not, however, that is fine, too.

Well, I just have one thing to say after the ending of the series: I miss it so much! It was too short, but then again I hate those long animes. IGPX really provided me with the exact type of thing I was looking for: realistic personalities and looks. I mean, there are great animes out there and everything, but many of them have the cutesy-type thing going on, which is too unrealistic to me. Then, there's the whole I-like-the-bad-boy which I somewhat got tired of. IGPX was different in that it allowed the viewer to enjoy the great storyline and slowly develop a love for the IGPX too (at least for me).

Now, I have SPOILERS. In case those of you who have not watched the entire series and does not want to find out the ending, DON'T READ.

As much as I hate to say it, the person who gave us all that spoiler by telling us that Takeshi and Liz were ending up together was right. However, Production IG did me a favor by not giving us a glimpse into the future, allowing us to use our imaginations and thinking up of our versions of the future.

My future goes like this:

Takeshi and Liz's turbulent love wears them both out and thet mutually agree to stop dating. Instead, they look to have a great friendship and successive careers as IG pilots. Takeshi finally notices Amy as more than a friend and Amy also begins to see that Takeshi isn't the stuck-up bratty phenom. The two shyly get together, live happily ever after, and have children.

Don't make fun of me, because I bet everyone has their own fantasy of what will happen. Although the producers leave you wanting for more, I must agree with the quote "Ignorance is bliss", since something even more horrid can occur, say, Takeshi and Fantine getting back together again. Or even worse: Takeshi and Bella Demarco.

I know that this post is long and possibly boring, but before I go, I must point something out:

Why is Takeshi so damn dense when it comes to Amy's feelings?! He doesn't notice when she's down (Episode 4, The Ghost) and he doesn't really treat her much as a friend (according to me). The only time I've seen a good amount of compassion towards Amy was when he ruined her mech and caused her to injure her leg in the race against White Snow. Now, it wasn't his fault, we all know that, but he actually seemed to be reluctant towards leaving Amy there when Andrei told him the race wasn't over and that he had to continue. Liz made me laugh (she's an enjoyable character at times) when she dashed right after them and told them that they were going to pay for that! I liked the fact that Takeshi stayed behind for a moment, trying to find a response from Amy.
