Omg, I LOVED the second book! Though the isolation tank thing totally freaked me out, since i have minor claustrophobia. Not cool.

I think it was because of his messed-up genetics and because he hated/loved Max for taking his father and making him an eraser, so yea.

WHAT THE HECK IS FANG'S SUPER POWER????????

Also, I was looking at the cover, and is that Fang or Iggy on the cover? Whenever I ask someone this, they go "Fang, duh!" But I was looking REALLY closely, and the mystery guy's hair looked kind of strawberry blonde. Plus, Iggy would make more sense because he got ditched with his parents in the story.

I kind of think Nudge might have a crush on Iggy. I don't think they'll ever have a real relationship, but they're is probably SOMETHING going on.

My question for all of you: doth it matter who is on the cover? I think it would make more sense if it were Fang, because he is more important in this book than Iggy is; I think if it were Ari the form would be stockier. However, if you look at a lot of bookcovers, the artist didn't read the book very well and thus it may not be anyone in particular.

True, the girl on the first book is totally NOT Max. But I'm still pretty sure that the guy on SOF cover is Iggy. The hair just gives it away for me. 1) the hair looks kind of strawberry blonde when you look at it closely and 2) Fang has longer bangs, they keep mentioning that in the book. Plus, it does make sense that Iggy would be on the cover (though Fang is more important to the story) because Iggy got left behind at his parents place.

the birds in the backround are just birds. I've examined them, like on the back of the first book, it's just five circling birds. And the person on the front,there's no way to tell the color of his hair because it's just on big shadow thing. They just show you the shape.

No, if you look carefully at the "backround birds" you can see that they are miniature people. You have to look REALLY closely though, and it only works two of them. Theyt made it so that it's hard to tell, but i'm almost positive that they are winged kids.

I don't seen any kids, and I've used a magnifing glass. (I know I spelled it wrong) I really don't think they're are any bird children.

I repeat my statement: do you think it really matters what is on the cover? Really, book covers tell you nothing.

Take the cover of The Blue Sword, for example. Harry's got something that looks like a wooden pole and she's hitting some guy with a headscarf on. However, that never happens in the book. The bird shapes and bird kid on the front of the cover were just meant to suggest birds and birdkids, not tell you anything about the book.

yeah, sometimes I don't think the people who do the cover actually read the book. hence the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover."

That's true about the whole cover thing. I mean, sometimes they are based off the book- Like in Gregor the Overlander, where after you read you can totally tell what the cover means- but in other cases it doesn't. It depends on the cover artist.

ok....i kno that this is soooo late but on the cover how can u tell if its any1...i mean its a profile pic so u cant tell about anything i mean max SO wasnt max on the 1st cover nd yea i c how u can c a strawberry-ish color to the hair but it could be brown to nd another thing...

if it was iggy or fang or even ari..im pretty sure they own shoes nd if u havent noticedd the guy on the cover isnt wearing any....

I've got a little bit of a personal problem reading stuff that isn't considered "literate" (if that means what I think it means). I really can't read that stuff. I know, it's a personal failure I have to figure out, but English isn't my best language (even though it's my first). I have serious trouble reading it if it isn't written in Standard English.

There's always just 5 birds on the cover but there's 6 bird kids that might be foreshadowing that ones getting killed off or that the person sitting has to be one of the flock. Just a thought!
