I think that was explored a little bit in the novels, though I'm not entirely sure. I read a few of them, but then ran out of money to spend on the books, as well as the patience of finding them in sequential order in bookstores.

The next trilogy is supposed to take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi, and this year marks the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. All of the actors have aged accordingly. None of the central actors have died, so it is possible, though unlikely, that they would return for the final three films. I personally hope that the final trilogy will never be made. I don't like the prequels, and much prefer the original films. After the prequels were made, I lost a lot of faith in Lucas' ability to create strong, solid films that would honor both the Star Wars universe and its fans.

The originals were okay, but I liked the prequals more. I have this thing for CG movies, and this is like, CG almost everything. Lucas did a great job in all of them, and even though the prequals are better in my worthless opinion(lol), it's all star wars. It's all cool. I just hope I won't get killed(figuratively)for saying this, but the originals are a bit too boring for me. The prequals however have lots of action, the right dosage of romance, and the normal star wars-y charm.

I've heard about another trilogy, but I think they are going to SUCK! My brother reads the SW books, and if they're gonna base them on those, I'm not gonna see them when they finally DO come out. My brother said that Luke's got kids, and that takes away the purpose of being a jedi. That's why Anakin got turned to the dark side, because he broke the jedi code. Jedi are never to marry. They must focus on what's in front of them, not their marital status.

In other words, the prequals are better. MUCH better.

the whole thing about them making another trilogy is total BS. i saw that site that has the script for them and it made me laugh at how fake it was. i think it's just an attempt to give SW fans false hope for some twisted reason. but the thing about the books and Luke having kids doesn't really break away from the Jedi Code or whatever. if you read the books you'll find out that it wasn't having kids that turned Anakin to the dark side really (although it did play some part) and in the book Luke's "Now Jedi Order" don't follow the rules like they did before and they found out that all of the things the Jedi did before to stop people from turning to the dark side really never turned anyone to the dark side at all. the Jedi just misinterpreted all of those things the wrong way and Luke's new order bassically breaks all of the "Jedi Code" like training someone as a full adult and having kids and all of those Jedi have come out just fine.

Well, not exactly all of those new jedi came out fine. When he first started his new order, Luke lost a lot of potential jedi to the dark side.

And regardless of whether Luke's new system works or not (I personally don't think the new jedi order at all, but then again I'm a big fan of the Old Republic in general) the fact is Anakin kind of did turn to the dark side because he wasn't raised strictly by the jedi code. If he had been raised as a jedi from infancy, then he wouldn't have been attached to his mother, and her death was really the first thing that really send him down the path to the dark side. So, in case I don't think they were necessarily wrong that attachment can lead to the dark side, because it obviously did.

Seeing this forum hurts me....because without the originals....there would be NOTHING of star wars....

No prequels, no games, no tv series, no comics, no legos, no action figures, no halloween costumes, no spoofs, no parodies, no timeless "luke I am your father" NO NOTHING.

My point.....The Original started it ALL!

EVERYTHING!

If the originals never came to fruitation, we'd litterally have a world without Star Wars.

I LOVE the prequels....but I love the Originals!

I LOVE STAR WARS ^_^

As a whole, nothing less and nothing more.
