Topic: Potentially ominous, long-range plans

At the time of this post I'm still working on 'From Day to Night', and despite the lulls in updates, I fully intend to finish it.

As a consolation of sorts, I'm going to include here a few descriptions of future works I have in mind. I certainly don't plan on writing another story as long as 'Upon this Fateful Day' or 'From Day to Night' for a long while, so all the ones listed here will likely come out as short(-er) stories. I also have an idea for a grander plot arc that could link all these individual stories together (including Fateful Day and Day to Night), but I'll have to see how far I can get before anything comes of that.

Be advised that some of these ideas may contain minor spoilers and are subject to change.

-Of Blackest Hearts-

An aging, dark-hearted mercenary becomes tied up in the middle of a conflict between criminal factions in a corrupt, lawless city. After being duped into rescuing the daughter of a local crimelord, he finds himself hunted by all sides in an invisible war. But beneath this journey is the story of what made him the man that he is, and what happened between him and a young idealist named Loynis thirty years prior...

...

-Trinity-

A story told from three different perspectives in Neverwinter. A lawyer must defend a childhood friend accused of murdering a prominent city politician. A foreign spy seeks information on a weapon that could obliterate thousands of lives. And a soldier must learn to combat a formless enemy army during the course of an invasion against Neverwinter. But as they each deal with their personal challenges, these three soon find their quests intertwined as a dire scheme against the city is uncovered.

...

-The Conspiracy-

A dead man's legacy. A femme fatale. A centuries-old order of killers. And the hunt is on to find the hidden treasure that could shed light on a group of beings that have been manipulating Faerunian politics ever since the Dale Reckoning.

...

-The Tower- (tentative title)

Captured and put to work at a slave outpost in the Anauroch Desert, a brilliant young strategist finds himself fighting for survival against a powerful tyrant. But the prisoner has an agenda of his own that will require him to employ every piece of skill and expertise at his disposal to achieve his own secret objective.

Someone has said that I should write a story about the Battle of Caden's Hill. At one point in time, I actually was planning to write a short four or five chapter story to cover what happened there and I already had the plot outlined. But I had nixed that idea since it took me long enough to get through From Day to Night, and this story didn't really seem too relevant since the important details were already conveyed in From Day to Night as well. Right now I'm still on the fence... I might end up writing it in-between the planned stand-alone stories if I have time. We'll see.

If I do write it, however, it will be told from a new character's perspective.

As seen above, I have a few stand-alone stories in mind for the future. Some of them will address dangling plot threads and unanswered questions left by Fateful Day and From Day to Night, but they will not be actual sequels. NO TRILOGIES!

A whole year without starting a new story?! What a hack!
