Indeed I did go fic crazy for a while there but, ah *realxes in recliner chair with refreshments* I'm having a break. Taking my time finishing off Toddler Troubles now which is slowly but surely climbing back up to the review levels it was at before I went back and changed some of it and fairly happy. I can't believe I only have like, one chapter to go, but *leans it to whisper* there's a bonus chapter! Shhhh! It's a secret ^_~

But then when I read fics by Treestar and Digi, I started to get interested. But I think the final straw was when I got influenced by Clarobell, Plushie and Shiru. They talked about it everytime we chat online. (I need to thank them for that)

So I'm officially hooked and trying to write a ZoLu fic called Room of Angels. It'll need a little work but hopefully I'll get some reviews.

So I'm going to reply to the very first question and why this topic is here!

I got into Zolu about....well the beginning of the series really XD I was watching when 'click' I was like "they'd make an awesome couple"

and then 'boom' I've been a HUGE Zolu fan ever since XD

I can't write stories or I would be.

I've read all the Zolu stories on FF and some on AFF.....and I gotta say, Clarobell, Treestar, Shiruji-chan, and Plushie, you guys make an awesome TRIO (yes I know there's more) but your two author's working on one story is GREAT!

You guys come up with some good plot's ^_^

O I'm sorry I'm rambling _

The relationship between them appealed to me, and I became immensely focused on it when reading/watching one piece.

It just seems like it's the only realistic pairing.. Luffy is one of the few people Zoro respects, and just that tells you that he sees past Luffy's childishness and it just seems deeper than any other relationship on the crew. I mean, they can know what they're thinking just by looking at each other!

Afterwards, I came upon a small comic in which Zoro throws Luffy off the ship just to rescue him again. I thought it was funny and cute. xD

Hmm, I actually started to like yaoi right after a small incident back when I was in grade 9, but it wasn't even yaoi related which was the odd part, but I guess the idea of a guy being passive/submissive was the thing that truly struck home, and from there it kind of escalated. I already had an idea that yaoi fan fics existed because I used to scroll through a whole bunch to get to the shoujo stuff when digimon was in it's first season (ah, yes, young and naive). XD;; I just didn't think I would get so hooked after my curiosity got the better of me (fandom and creativity is a deadly thing). I guess after all of my nit-picking, I came to terms with the fact that whatever couple that felt right to me was right for each other. I went by instinct and of course the amount of canon/fanon that a character would show to the other.

Simply, Luffy and Zoro could be picked out in the same way for me, but I only started watching One Piece four months ago, and with so many characters that hasn't been introduced to me flying around by that time, I told myself to give them all a chance before making my decision, but time and time again Zoro kept proving himself for Luffy and vise-versa. I think by the time that the Mugiwara crew made it to Alabasta, I was already in love with the coupling, so I guess it was just a progressive relationship thing. *laughs*

And of course fan fiction helped in the process of all of this. I was interested in what couples there were when I was a month into the anime, and I kept my eyes out for the popular pairings... which still (for some reason) is ZoroxSanji (LuffyxNami is getting there too...). And, well- I made references to the anime trying to pin-point it out, but it didn't make any sense to me. The couples just didn't seem to have any good support unless you squint really hard, so case in point, ZoroxLuffy wins. XD

After that I thought I was weird, uintil I realised there were more ZoLu fans out there (yeah, I take a bit on catching on) But now I love ZoLu so much I´d sell my kidneys, liver, lungs and heart to see them end up together, they´re so kawaii!

I've also recently gotten into making a lot of ZoLu fanfics (which you can find on my bio page if you wanna read them) I just find the pairing so adorable. I watched alot of episodes in Japanese and read alot of the manga in japanese and it made me think and see alot more obvious. To quote a quote in one of my stories "Luffy is Luffy and Zoro...well, Zoro is so far in the closet he's in Narnia." XD Anyway. I'm still writing stories and trying to not die during the week at school (which I'm acually doing a good job of) I think ZoLu is a bit canon in One Piece along with SanjiXEvery pretty girl. XD (just kidding)

It was yaoi, and I nearly died of a noseblead. After that, I was addicted.

...in case you were wondering the revelance of my last post, after I became addicted to yaoi, I read 5 Onepiece fanfics in a row. The last story was a ZoroXLuffy. I've been in love with the pairing ever since.

I don't even know why I'm even posting this. I haven't actually even read or watched OP yet except for a 10 or so eps here and there, and the 6th (I think) OP movie. The ff that hooked me on to OP is 'Raftel' and I was like, cool I luv Luffy's character so I'll read more even if I haven't seen that much of the anime. And then I looked through the C2s and the most popular shounenai pairing with Luffy was ZoLu, so I just read it. Naruto totally corrupted me since after SasuNaru, all the fanfics I've been reading are shounenai and I can't really stand reading shoujo?, normal pairings. Do they have some name for normal, guyxgirl, pairings?

I'm not really sure. I think it's just called a basic 'Het pairing' or something like that. Or you'll see like M/M for yaoi, and M/F for normal. ^^ Hope you enjoy your stay! =D

I'm not sure if I was suppose to hit reply for the first post of this topic or the last post ...I'm new to the forums of this site so if I make a mistake its from me being a rookie at it.

Anyway...I got into ZoLu after watching a few of the Japanese episodes and then went looking for FanFiction about them...but as friends not as lovers. But of course I ran into ZoLu Yoai and Shonen-ai while looking for friendship fics. I can't remember if the fics I read were from Plushie, Shiruji-chan or Cloralbell but those three fic writers were wear I read my first ZoLu fics. I can't remember whose I read first...but I don't think it matters as all three of them are really good writers...You to Treestar...being a published writer yourself ^_^

I have to admit I was hesitant to read ZoLu at first...because my last in counter with Yaoi AND Shonen-ai on this site was on the disgusting side. I way I read fanfiction is the way I write it, I think of weither or not the characters would kill me if they found it in real life. In other words if it does injustice to the characters I won't read it. But a lot of the stuff I read about the couple was good and I eventually became hooked on this couple.

As for the whole thing about their "Sexual Orintation"...I don't think Luffy's the type to care what gender he ends up loving...It would probably seem trivial to him to care about that sort of thing. As for the situation with Alvida...Luffy has some pretty sharp instincts as we have all seen...I bet he senses that this "lady" was not a very nice person at all even before he found out it was Alvida. Many say Luffy's too clueless to understand or figure out love or have a romanic relashionship...I say thats cutting Luffy very short. Luffy understand loyalty and friendship to a very high level, we've seen the levels he's willing to go to to protect his nakama. Saying that Luffy is too cluelss to understand loving someone on a deeper level is insulting him...plus he's a seventeen year old guy, and he obiously has a sex drive given his reaction to getting an eye full of Nami's body twice...one in which he got a nosebleed.

As for Zoro...I'd have to say he doesn't care either...he'd most likely rather take a nap then worry about the gender of whoever he ends up loving.

When I read those ZoSan stories I get wirded out...the couple makes no sense to me...Plus Sanji annoys me. Whenever Sanji flirts with the girls its like someone scraping their nails down a chalkboard to me. I have never seen a character that annoys me as much as Sanji...the way he sometimes treats the male crewmembers irratates me badly. Anyway they just don't go together...not because they fight all the time...thats one of the reasons yes, but it just doesn't...I don't know...it doesn't feel or look right...if that makes any sense...plus Sanji is always daulting on the girls.

lol. I did that too. I was actually looking for good fics too but I didn't mind the yaoi or shounenai. And I agree with the whole 'I don't care'. Generally the protagonists seems clueless but are actually sharp at picking things up. Just because things seem simple to them, people say they don't understand and put them in the idiotic/clueless group.

Luffy's smarter then he acts. Just because he behaves like a brainless gof doesn't mean he is a brainless goof. Just because his personlaity is playful and kooky doesn't mean thats his mentality right? He's proven he can be serious and great at battle stradagy when its needed.

I roll my eyes whenever the crew yell at Luffy for not taking a situation seriously when he's playing around. I'd be more worryed when Luffy IS acting serious.

Zoro is the only level headed guy on the crew besides Luffy. Sanji isn't level headed...the precence of anything female will throw him off. Usopp getting there but I'd like to see him fight with the same feroushiusness he used when fighting Luffy. If he can take on Luffy, knowing full well what Luffy's capalbe of, I'm sure he can do the same with any other opponent.

Lets see,, I really did'nt like Yaoi for a verrrry long time. I thought ''ewwww,two guys together?!? O_o???'' So I stayed away from yaoi like it was a disease. When i turned 15 my life changed forever! On day during school my best friend toled me abut a anime called Loveless(I think thats the name). When she toled me to watch it, I of course refused to watch it. She got upset for a while but stoped bothering me about it. But then one day I went over to her house, to give back an anime i had .(it was FMA ) when I gave it back to the she toled me to stay for a bit. So I said ok .

The next thing I knew I was being forced into a chair by her computer. She turned on the video an I watched it!! I fell in love with it instantlay. I was like a punch in the face!! and I loved it !! I am ever thankfull for my friend who turend me into a yaoi fangirl for life!!

Hmmmm when did i start loving Zolu?? lets see. well one day i was reading the manga,it was before Ussop had joined. But anaway, Zoro and Nami were standing somewhere and Ussopp's little friends come running along and ask them where Usopp and Luffy where at and Zoro said "thier at the beach." When He said that Zoro looked really,really mad for some reason. And when the kids said that they mey be in danger Zoro made a beeline to the beach!" Saying I got to find Luffy!!" I could also see it when the two had first meet.

So me wanting more ZoLu I surfed the web to find more. I stumbled upon Fan art from random sites. Too Fanfiction from this site!!! yaay me!!! The very first FanFiction I read was Fugitives by Wishing-for-a zoro-plushie!! That was a really awesome Fic! I started to want to read more and more of ZoLu.And by god I have read almost every one of them!! I have to admit tho their were to many SanZo of ZoSan . I read a couple of those Fics. And it was too wierd for me . HOW IN THE LOVE OF GOD CAN PEOPLE SEE THEM AS A COUPLE!?!?!?!? can someone please expliane to me that please?? Sorry for the rant their people. But really I can see Luffy and Zoro as a couple more than the "ZoSan: The couple from HELL!!!!" Hell Luffy and Zoro can understand each others thoughts all the time!!!!! It so awesome!

I understand you when you say Luffy is smart, but that people don´t think so. He´s smart and emotional, it´s just he doesn´t know many facts, just his instincts. He also has very clear ideas about what he wants, from his ultimate dream of becoming the PirateKing down to what he wants for lunch and passing through how he collects his crew.

I agree with that, but I also disagree, because he is essentially a child, he is growing and learning, but he's also learnt a lot. He's definitely not stupid, he's carefree. And a little dense, but so is Zoro. I mean, to fight the way Luffy does, to use that power he has to his advantage, he can't be dumb.

Zoro is, and will forever be my favourite over Luffy. XD no offence to Luffy fans, Zoro doesn't have the advantage of having a devil fruit power, and I admire the fact that he can stand directly beside Luffy in terms of strength and danger level and everything like that. .... He's hot too, that helps. :P And his attitude, and and -raves on for half an hour about zoro-... -cough- _
