Mog AnarchyTopic: /Off Topic/ Pennames!
...Why not, eh? :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Penname: - Mog Anarchy Pronounced: - "Mog An-are-key" Reasoning behind: - An old nickname of mine was Mog, and when I joined the site, I had an obsession with drawing the anarchy 'A' sign on everything - my notebooks, my Mario Kart decal, my schoolwork... I also felt myself as an anarchist in the world of fan fiction, and I joined this site to be different! Old pennames: - Gamin' Mog. (My 1st one, the 'Mog' part is the same, the 'Gamin'' came from my love of video games, and I felt like dropping the G. ...But Mog Anarchy suits me better. :D) "Interesting" facts: - "Mog Anarchy" can anagram to 'Charm Agony' and 'March Agony'. | #1 Jun 27th 2008, 5:29pm . RamgigonSomething tells me you like these pinned topics... :P --------------------------------------------------------------------- Penname: - Ramgigon Pronounced: - "Ram-gig-on" or "Ram-gee-gon" Reasoning behind: - My three favorite Pokemon are (at least, at the time of naming my account) Rampardos, Regigigas, and Porygon. And since I love portmanteaus, it was natural. :) Old pennames: - None, although Rambugon was considered as tribute to Kabutops. "Interesting" facts: - "Ramgigon" contains three fourths of the letters in my real name. It's also impossible to tell whether it's 'gig' or 'gon' that contains the second G, without me saying. | #2 Jun 27th 2008, 5:56pm . Edited Jun 27th 2008, 6:06pm

Mog AnarchyHow did you know this thread was created with you in mind. :) Aren't I glad you answered, I've been wondering for ages what your penname was all about - an awesome reasoning behind, if I do say so. :) Oh, and I've been saying it as "Ram-gee-gon", all this time, because I can't read. :) Forgive me. :D |
Ramgigon:P Well now you know! XD Well, I suppose you could pronounce it like that... Taken directly from the name, it could be "Ram-gee-gon", I just thought "Ram-gig-on" sounded better and looked more like it. ... I'll make it an alternate pronunciation, because I didn't think it would be preferable. :P |
Mog AnarchyAwwww thanks. :) Ah, Ramgigon, always thinking of others. :) |

Mog AnarchyYes...? Care to elaborate? :) Use the framework that we used. :) |

Kitsune no ToraPenname: - Tsukikari Kitsune Pronounced: - "Tsu-key-ka-rii Key-tsu-neigh" For "Tsu," it's said fast, so it sounds more like you're pushing air through your front teeth than an actual sound. Reasoning behind: - My favorite animal is a fox, and I take Japanese... so my nickname that very few people actually use is "Kitsune." Since just "Kitsune" is usually taken or is too close to other people's pen names, I had to come up with another thing to add to it. I came across the word "Tsukikari," (which as far as I know isn't an actual japanese word, but it comes from the words "Tsuki" meaning Moon and "Kari" meaning light. (Kari itself isn't an actual word but I think it's tagged onto things to mean light.) So, Tsukikari means Moonlight, and Kitsune means Fox... essentially, I'm Moonlit Fox. :3 Old pennames: - Uhh... there were a few, but they're not worth mentioning because they were used before I found the word Tsukikari, and only for about a week when I was still a newbie to the site and had never set foot on the forums. "Interesting" facts: - ...I use it pretty much everywhere I go on the net, and one of my friends uses the "Tsukikari" part as well. In fact she started using it before me, but I didn't know until I had started using it for a while. ^^; So if you search "Tsukikari Kitsune" on some search engine, whatever you come up with is probably related to either her or I. I don't know of anyone else who uses it, since Tsukikari is a made-up word. |
Mog AnarchyInteresting indeed. :) Very original reasoning. I feel enlightened. :D |
Ramgigon... Wow. I was saying "Tsu-key-ka-rii Kit-soon" this whole time. o.o | #10 Jun 27th 2008, 7:37pm

Kitsune no ToraI'm glad. Both of yours are very interesting too. :D Well it's Japanese, so it's not surprising you were pronouncing it wrong. :3 English and Japanese sound very different. | #11 Jun 27th 2008, 7:41pm

Azure ButterflyPenname: soaringdragon43 Pronounced: =| How anyone can get it wrong is beyond me... Reasoning behind: "soaringdragon" comes from Rayquaza or Ajrsa, one of my characters, "43" is my lucky number (4+3=7). Old pennames: None on this site...all my usernames are soaringdragon43, because I wan't people to recognise me. Interesting facts: If you spell it backwards it's 34nogardgniraos. w00t! | #12 Jun 27th 2008, 8:23pm

Lina BenPenname: Lina Ben Pronounced: Li-na Ben Reasoning behind: Most of my pennames on other sites are this penname. Also it is easy to remember. Old Penames: On other sites i was once called Haleyrainbow, Sugarcream1 (After my now dead mouse.) and Slifer Rules. Intresting facts: Not much really... | #16 Jun 27th 2008, 11:13pm

The Rudiment GoldbrickCool. 8D --- Penname: RAyqUazA Gal Pronounced: Ray-qua-za gal (Si, yus, hai, YEAH!) Reasoning behind: This was the first pen name I thought of consisting pokemon. :/ And the fact is, Ray was my strongest pokemon in Sapphire was a Rayquaza, and the fact I'm female, and I'm a total noob. Old Penname(s): Well... I only altered my last penname, but, you guys would know what it was. rayquaza gal ring a bell? "Interesting" fact(s): I only altered my penname only once. It's also a fact that in RAyqUazA Gal, only one letter is in my first name (yes, both. Like, Stephanie Estelle? (no, srsly.)) And it's a fact I only created my internet "personality" based on this pen name. Yep. Also, i'm thinking about changing it. | #17 Jun 28th 2008, 1:26am

Mog AnarchyTee hee, you all have interesting reasoning. I was saying Kitsune wrong as well Ramgigon, you're not the only one. :D | #18 Jun 28th 2008, 5:39am

Capybara 773Penname: Capybara 773 Pronounced: cap-ee-ba-rah seven-seven-three Reasoning behind: One of my classmates was, for part of this random school project, making an advertisment for a made-up fizzy drink, which he named 'Mountain-Bara' (don't ask why), and when it came to deciding on my penname, I decided to nick the 'capybara' from that. Fact: capybaras are the largest living rodents, and they're found in South America. As for the '773' part, I got that from a random numer generator ^_^' Old Penname(s): None. It has always been 'Capybara 773' for me, and as for the future... has anyone seen the poll on my profile? Interesting Facts: Capybaras are the largest living rodents, and they're found in South America. I've never seen one in my life, apart from on the net. The only other penname I considered when I chose my pennames was... wait, I didn't think of anything else, did I? | #19 Jun 28th 2008, 5:39pm

The Rudiment GoldbrickI guess I said kitsune right all along. ^_^ Don't worry Ram, people say things wrong sometimes. I'm no exception. | #20 Jun 28th 2008, 7:56pm

IcepikPenname: Icepik Pronounced: Awhoald-da-nik (Okay, it's really pronounced Ice-pick) Reasoning behind: Fall/Push/Autumn and Winter are the best seasons, I like Ice, it's Sneasel's secondary type, and pik is for pikmin. That, and it's funny to see how so many people misspell it as IcePick, Ice Pick, icepick, etc. Old Pennames: My sister once got onto my account and called it "i'm using my brother's account" or something similar. That's it. Interesting Facts: One of the many bland and pointless, unrecognizable names. It's short, though, so if shortened at all it's shortened to Ice. Whch s lk ttlly awsm. | #21 Jun 28th 2008, 9:59pm

The Rudiment GoldbrickUh huh... Old Pennames: My sister once got onto my account and called it "i'm using my brother's account" or something similar. That's it. Really? Too bad I didn't see that one. ^w^ | #22 Jun 28th 2008, 10:35pm

SpeedyDolphinPenname:SpeedyDolphin Pronounciation:...Figure it out. Reasoning Behind: I love Ecco the Dolphin(DAMN HARD GAME!), the game was very beautiful, great music, great plot, VERY challenging puzzles, and parts where you gotta just be damn quick. The game took advantage the Genesis' faster processor and you would go really fast across the screen in some parts of the game(hence the term 'Speedy'). And, as you probably guessed, the main character is a dolphin('hence the term 'Dolphin') Old Pennames:When I originally signed up at newgrounds my name was SpeedyDolphin. From then on, my name was SpeedyD at every website(except youtube), including here for a while. I recently changed it back to SpeedyDolphin, so this is my old penname.XD "Interesting Facts":nihploDydeepS? | #23 Jun 29th 2008, 8:03am

The Keeper of TruthPenname: The Keeper of Truth Pronounced: Need I say it? Reasoning Behind: Truth is the very concept that my life revolves around. I seek it in the words of the wise and in the hearts of the downtrodden, in the world around me as well as my own conscience. In a more behavioral sense, I tend to want to know everything about everyone I know, simply out of curiosity. I never use what I learn against anyone, though; if there is one thing I'm good at, it's keeping a secret. Old Pennames: None. This is my first, but I'm not sure it'll be my last... "Interesting" Facts: 'The Keeper of Truth' was originally the name of an original character I had conceived in my younger years. He was my concept of everything I wanted to be. I use that name today so that I may remind myself to become someone worthy of that title. | #24 Jun 29th 2008, 2:34pm

Black Knight Daiokay let me try again. Dai-chan7: Die-chan seven Past Pename's: Aggron15 why: I like Dai-chan7. the only real reason is I modeled the name after my favorite anime character. Daisuke Niwa from DN Angel. did I miss anything? | #28 Jun 29th 2008, 5:12pm
The Keeper of TruthNo, not really. Apparently the reasons behind most pennames are surprisingly... dull. | #29 Jun 29th 2008, 5:40pm
IcepikLike mine. Completely boring other than watching so many people misspell it. Epikicay. | #30 Jun 29th 2008, 6:28pm

The Keeper of TruthNot really. I thought yours was one of the more creative ones. | #31 Jun 29th 2008, 6:41pm

Icepik... Interesting. I always thought it was bland compared to many. | #32 Jun 29th 2008, 6:42pm

The Keeper of TruthCompared to what? People who name themselves after their favorite character, or the ones who come up with something random just so they can remember it? At least yours has some indication of who you are as an individual. | #33 Jun 29th 2008, 6:51pm

Thoughtless7Penname: - Thoughtless7 Pronounced: - "Thawt-lehs seh-vun" Reasoning behind: - My pennames never describe me. I am TheAcrobat7 on dA, and I'm not the least bit acrobatic. My penname on youtube is SvariatOstilita which roughly means "various negativities," and I'm an optimist. I am not thoughtless. Also, I like the number 7. :3 Old pennames: - "-Taylor-" Just my name. But it bored me. :3 "Interesting" facts: Uh...did you know Zimbabwe's election was basically a hoax? | #34 Jun 29th 2008, 7:08pm
IcepikYes. I certainly hope they take that 'president' down. What's the use with elections if you're just going to get your way year after year through violence and such, you might as well just call yourself a dictator to save time... | #35 Jun 29th 2008, 7:31pm
Thoughtless7It got bad enough to the point where the other candidate just said to vote for the other guy to save their lives. I agree, just declare yourself dictator. | #36 Jun 29th 2008, 7:38pm
IcepikBesides, if he was just another dictator he wouldn't be about to be confronted by all those countries wanting to remove him from office. Did you know that there are games about New Zealand? | #37 Jun 29th 2008, 7:39pm
Thoughtless7I did not know that. :3 There is a holiday in a Muslim dominant country-- confound, I forget, maybe Saudi Arabia?-- where, for one day, the woman beat up the men with sticks as men walk down the streets with a shield. It's a time to let out repressed frustration at their oppression! :3 | #38 Jun 29th 2008, 7:43pm

Mog Anarchy...I thought the reasoning behind my penname was interesting... | #48 Jun 30th 2008, 1:16pm
The Keeper of TruthAnd it was. Yours tells me your associated with anarchy in some way (though what kind is unclear). I'm just getting sick of all the "favorite character + random numbers" pennames out there. | #49 Jun 30th 2008, 1:32pm
Mog AnarchyIn a sense, the way I dress, speak and the clothes I wear are anarchistic. I'm unlike anybody else in the area where I live, I don't conform to the stereotypes of everyone else. And I'm known for secretly causing trouble. When I'm the last one they suspect, it's always me who's done it. | #50 Jun 30th 2008, 1:35pm
