Well now. This has helped me decide what the hell to do. See, I'm planning a Fai/OC fic, but I had this scene in mind where my OC yells at him, and calls him his real name. You know, something like..... "Don't give me that, Yuui!" But, I needed to know if Fai(Yuui) knew he was Yuui, or if that was part of the lil curse thingys that I heard Fei Wang Reed put on him..... so, yeah. I have now decided that he's completely aware of his real name. Wow, I'm gonna try my hand at angst! Go me! Anyways, thanks for the long, confusing explaination here. Somehow I understood it.... Maybe cause me and my friends talk like that all the time lol.

Fai is Yuui?

In the Celes arc, Fai/Yuui's past is shown. Apparently, the magician we know as Fai, had a twin brother. Our magician was named Yuui, while the twin's name was Fai. Since royal twins were considered bad luck, they ended up locked in a tower, with no one to save them. (I think that's how it goes?) The real Fai was confined at the top, and our Yuui was trapped at the bottom. They planned to use the dead bodies (i don't really remember exactly what happened, but i think the twins were blamed for a mysterious disease?) for Yuui to climb up to Fai. I suppose it didn't work, but eventually, Fei Wang Reed, that creepy dude with the huge chin, and who's keeping the real Syaoran in a tube, showed up and struck a deal. He said that one twin could be saved, but the other had to die. Real Fai chose to save his brother, and was thrown from the top of the tower to his death. Yuui decided it was his fault, and his mind decided that he would become Fai. If Yuui was Fai, then Fai never died. Yuui did. Or so the mental twist says. Ashura found "Fai" and 'adopted' him. "Fai" became the most powerful magician in the country, and earned the title D. Ashura gave him the name Fai D. Fluorite, and ladidada, we have our beloved blond.
