No offense to its fans, but I don't care much for Lenalee/Allen. It's not so much anything against canon pairings or Lenalee, though. I just think the two of them are a little too similar in nature to make a good couple. Both are real heroic types, and would always be trying to save each other/sacrifice themselves, which would lead to a lot of arguing afterwards (Why did you save me instead of that person blahblahblah).

Hum...I can't really see Komui with Kanda, but that's probably because I'm all for him with Reever or Cross. I'm starting to support CrossKomui more and more, but that's probably influence from one of the fanfics I'm reading. TykiKomui is cool too :)

Ok! So let's quickly do a run-down of my fave pairings before I spend hours and hours away from my lecture notes.

Allen x Lenalee: Ok, so it's typical and predictable and probably the most canon of relationships in the series, which is probably why I'm making this the first one (not so much because it's my number one favourite). They're cute together and they obviously care about one another a heckuva lot. Does this mean romantic love? Not necessarily, but it's very definitely possible.

Lavi x Lenalee: I love this one, too. Just watching Lavi protect Lenalee and the look on his face when Lenalee is hurt/suffering is just so sorrowful (I applaud the mangaka's abilities to convey such emotions so beautifully)...it makes the fangirl inside me squeal.

Cross x Anita: Another canon pairing but I love them all the same. Again, they obviously cared a lot for each other (although, I'm still not entirely sure how deep Cross's feelings were).

Cross x Cloud: The wine-drinking scene was hilarious and the only basis for this relationship, but if it went any further, I'd have more good laughs to look forward to XD

Aaaand I'm not really into yaoi but...

Kanda x Lavi: They make me laugh XD They way they interact with each other is just too cute.

I don't know, Allen x Lenalee has never really interested me. I don't outright hate it, but even after reading some nice fanfictions I'm not sold. Plus, I'm not really into yaoi (unlike many of the D. Gray-Man fandom) so I'm not very big a fan of Kanda x Lavi or Kanda x Allen. Lavi x Lenalee: I don't know what it is about this pairing that makes me squeal inside. I find they fit together romantically better than Allen x Lenalee, which I think leans towards sibling/relationship. It's definitely possible. Not saying 'canon', just 'possible'.

Kanda x Lenalee: Why not? I like them better than Allen x Lenalee. I think they have real chemistry together. xD

I've still got quite a bit of chapters to read and episodes to watch, so my opinions might change, but these two couples are the ones that grabbed my attention from the start, and I absolutely love them. :)

Yes, Yaoi all the way in D. Gure! Lol I saw this one picture of Allen in our school hallways, I fricken ran up to it, touched it, and screamed "OMG IT'S ALLEN!!" Lol this is kind of offtopic but in Fanime 2008 Me and my friend were walking around. This was the perfect timing as we passed the theatre. I saw Sasuke getting beat up and I ran in their yelling "SASUKE DON'T DIE!!!" and then my friend came in and said people were staring at me XD.

Ah, please don't hate Kanda when y ou don't know anything about his past. I hope Hoshino gets on that soon. I think the reason he's mean and cold is because he won't live that long. Being cold towards everyone usually puts boundry lines between people. Notice how he says, "I'll abonden you" or something like that in the Martel Or Montel arc w/e it's called he saves Allen, using the "I don't like people who can't keep their promises" as an excuse. Or something like that. I'd go check but I don't have volume two. He is starting to like his uh... friends but doesn't really show it. If you think about it, he's socially awkward. He isn't the type of person to start a conversation either. I found it cute how in the anime, they showed Marie on a hospital bed and Kanda was standing next to him. Lol I dunno but that's jsut me. (I smell a crack fic of KandaxMarie XDDD)

IMO I deeply dislike LavixLinali. They're just no way it can happen because Lavi is heavily devoted to becoming a bookman. Sure he has feelings but he's like, "OMG Bookman is the best thing in the world!1!!!1!!!" Maybe it will change.

AllenxLinali was my first fave and then I came upon Yullen. But, I favor Allen as Seme in that pairing. It's just that the AxLe is cannon and yeah, it seems like it's going to happen.

Lol, this reminds me of when I was filling out my English thing were it's like "Who would you like to meet?" Kanda is my favorite character of all times (Bakura's right after him) but I seriously would NOT want to meet him. He'd probably impale me with mugen if I were a foot in front of him. Though he is nicer to girls... So I wrote down Allen. I mean seriously, who wouldn't want to meet Allen?! I'd just glomp him and he'd be to nice to push me off. Lol. If only he were real.

I personally love how there's like a sort of slashy relationship between Allen and Lavi in the actual series XD

Oh my God I'm so sad...nearly everyone likes AllenLena...and no one likes LaviLena...-sob-

No offense, but I absolutely detest that pairing. Especially Lenalee. God, she's such a Mary Sue. So whiny and "ALLEN-KUN ALLEN-KUN ALLEN-KUUUUUN!" I swear, she's worse than a stalker. It's so typical of every shounen manga that the main guy character just has to end up as a couple with the main girl character. Because shounen manga just doesn't allow any capacity for creativity. Allen and Lenalee are so forced, and I'm nauseated by even the thought of them together. They are much better off in a brother/sister relationship; people say that they 'fit together perfectly,' but let me ask them - would you really want a perfect relationship where nothing goes wrong and everything is sparkly unicorns and rabid bunnies crapping rainbows everywhere? That sounds like the Twilight version of love. It's so unnatural and has the potential to ruin the entire series of DGM. For some, anyway.

Lavi and Lenalee have so much chemistry between them, and the complications just make the pairing stronger. For example, Lavi has the capacity to leave Lenalee because of his job as Bookman. He won't compromise. He can't compromise, even if he does love her. With Allen and Lenalee, it's so much simpler - even if Allen is the 14th, he'll cling onto Lenalee, despite his angst-emo "I'M A MONSTER"-ness. And Lenalee's okay with that. She'll be all, "It's okay, Allen-kun!" and be all cheesy and corny and BLEGH. It's so boring, their love. Nothing exciting at all, nothing that will make it stronger. Because even if the worst happens, Lenalee is like "I still love you!" and Allen would be like "I'm glad!" Again, I'm reminded of Twilight...-shudder- And maybe I'm taking this too seriously, but my frustration has accumulated over reading hundreds of posts, fanfics, etc. that all say AllenLena is awesome for all the reasons why I hate it. I used to dislike Yullen, but in an effort to escape AllenLena, I started reading it, and I'm now a Yullen fan. Dammit I'm such a hypocrite.

Sorry. I'm so gonna get flamed for this. DX And I certainly don't blame the AllenLena fans for liking the pairing. I just don't think anyone's speaking up for LaviLena, and I really love that pairing! And I really do love Allen. I just find Lenalee unbearably annoying...Please don't hate me...

Flames? What flames should I be chucking at you, friend? You've simply reiterated an argument I've seen on countless forums on the topic of Lenalee's epic Mary-Sue-ness. No matter what they girl does, she will ALWAYS be a Mary Sue. Get your hair burned off, beat up a level 3, get cool new Innocence-- GIRL, YOU'RE STILL CLINGING TO HIS LEG LIKE A BURR. Of course, we haven't seen Lenalee in a while. She might have changed. Or might not have.

Of course, the prospect of Lavi loving anyone is sketchy. He's a Bookman. That fact has been accepted by him, Bookman, and everyone else. Complications DO make a more interesting scene, but it all boils down to WILL IT WORK? It's only a relationship if it works-- complications work as speed bumps, not full-on concrete walls. Poor Lavi. Lenalee and him makes a very interesting pairing, and I've seen good works for it. They just don't talk about it here.

And yes. Yaoi shall invade your mind. Just wait until someone gets LavixKomui and ReeverxKomui into your head. Necessity Is The Mother Of Creation-- THAT will get it ALL started. D':

InnocentMuffin, if I was to pair Lenalee with anyone you're right, I would definitly prefer LaviLenalee or even KandaLenalee because the AllenLenalee is such the stereotypical pairing. She'll have better chemistry with Lavi or Kanda, and I've seen some really nice fanart of them to prove it for myself :P
