Topic: TezuFuji Tezuka and Fuji
Okay, first, my favourite pairing, TezuFuji! What makes them so special? I think it's those two episodes of 'The zany Seigaku family' and that cowboyish episode where Fuji is a girl with complete trust in Tezuka... I mean, I think Fuji as grandma is so cute! And Fuji and Tezuka practically sleeping in the same bed did it for most fanfiction writers. It sure did it for me! What do you guys think?

I think you're right. i saw those episodes and i really amazed that the creators really giving ovious hints in this pairing. hehehehe... I think only Tezuka can only control Fuji's wild streaks. right? right?

XD Hehehehe. I have no idea what makes them so special. It just feels like they belong to each other. WOOT. XD Hehehe.

Sometimes I think the producer/story board members/whoever that made the anime, did it on purpose. I mean, what's with the hints (just like the Tenimyu! Fanservice? OMG)? It's like they are encouraging it! Lol. Even Konomi-sensei did not do that... *coughs*

personal thoughts here, no offense meant:

I really hated those episodes. I could not watch them. Changing genders just really.....disturbs me. I've never liked it much except in Ranma 1/2, where it's the basis of the story. And I will never consider Tenimyu as anything remotely aproaching cannon. I can't watch that either, most of the time, because blind fanservice doesn't really appeal to me. I just want the characters as they are so that I can play around with them and twist them into knots to my heart's content. ^.^

I...don't really understand this pairing. Not enough to write it, and only barely enough to read any of it. Anyone have any good fic suggestions? Fics that really make this pairing seem possible without just accepting it as fact? Or just you favorites?

Tezuka x Fuji or vice versa (though I put down the order I liked better) is definitely canon for me after those infamous episodes, plus the chibi episodes. Even my homophobic cousin what likes to deny everything accepts this couple...so there's something there.

TezuFuji is awfully obvious in the latter episodes... what's with the "...with you I can go to any height..."-thing?! Though what made us start shipping them at the very first place is tenipuri game =p

Episodes 172-175 ish....... I can't quite remember the exact episodes, however, Fuji challenged Tezuka to an official match in their sophomore year, on the very day that Tezuka's left arm was injured and sealed. Tezuka, being the stubborn guy that he is, went to face play Fuji, anyway, however the injury was discovered, mid-match. A promise was made between the two to keep the match a secret and to continue after Tezuka was fully healed, which happens right after the Junior Senbatsu Tournament, as we all know.

From that point, the two apparently became friends, or more than that, depend on your view of this particular pairing. While it is rather late in coming, for the show, this is probably the most canon set of episodes that would give evidence to this pairing being meant to happen.

However, I seem to be remembering little moments, such as Fuji and Tezuka talking in the locker room after the practice that was rained out, when Fuji and Ryoma had their match in the rain. Things like that are rather easy to ignore or pass over, in light of ANY pairing not being a major plot point. (I've found Prince of Tennis to be rather asexual and in terms of pairings, canon doesn't give us many pairings, short of some AnMomo, SakuRyo, and a rather onesided TomoRyo.

Hm...to whoever said the whole "gender-switch" thing earlier my guess would be that the reason they made Fuji a girl was because...well...Yuki Kaida is female! Hehe.

I'm more for Seme!Fuji than Seme!Tez because...well...he can't be in control ALL of the time, now can he? ^+^

Well, of to contemplate why Momo was made into a girl in the chibi eps (does anybody have any idea? *so confuzzled*)

yeah, probably the most canon pairing... i used not to like shounen ai, but, well, TezukaFuji just blew all my principles into smithereens.

i don't know why but i kind of felt that they're just, well, perfect for each other even before the chibi eps.

TeFu is love!!! :3

like vierblith,l used to not like yaoi. i even criticize yaoi pairings (im from a Christian country ).but tefu blew everything out of proportion.

for me the first ever hint that i've seen for this pairing is how fuji stands close to tezuka almost evrytime. second, when atobe tool a hold of tezuka's left elbow and asked if it's alright and he said: fuji let's go.in this scene, i ust felt a strong chemistry between the two.

but the most obvious manifestation for me (excluding the i can reach any height thing) was when tezuka and fuji was on the rooftop and tezuka told fuji he's going to leave for germany. i mean, oishi is kuni-chan's bestfriend and he told the news to fuji first.if that doesn't imply anything, i dont know what would.

The reason they made Momo into a girl in the Tenipuri family chibi stories is largely due to his name since Momo means 'peach.' And I suppose that Peach is more of a girl's name? In contrast, the rest of his name is not very feminine (Momoshiro Takeshi = Peach Castle War[?])

Totally. Everything the so points to it, and it is just awsome because they rock the pants off everyone else in the club.

I deef agree with Maldita though I mean who do you tell your leaving to fist? the person you like duh. Then best friend.

There the two 'monsters' of seigaku and they just compliment each other so well! I don't know what got me into the pairing though... it was too long ago and so gradual. I do, however, remember a time when I was all for TezukaxYumiko.
