Topic: Should Sasuke live or die?

Really, uh... nuff' said. Give us your opinions and reasons on whether Sasuke Uchiha should live or die.

Sorry, but I just finished watching episode 149 in the anime, and had just recently catching up to the manga... Even though I'm not sure what had happened that ended up with Sasuke dead, I want Sasuke to live! I love him too much for him to die! XD

I get the feeling that Sasuke will most probably kill Itachi due to a softness on Itachi's part for Sasuke and as a result of Sasuke no longer having any family nor purpose, he will fight Naruto somewhat half-heartedly in a final confrontation of sorts. I believe Sasuke was developed to become Naruto's arch-nemesis in the manga and so as a result, Naruto will be the one to unwillingly kill him at the end. My baseless theories of course, lol.

I think that they wouldn't kill Sasuke. Not after all this time, kupo... He's a main character and if they killed him, they'd be killing someone as important as Naruto I guess.

Well, if they did, I'm sure a few producers would get swamped by rabid fangirls....

Not only would he get swamped by rapid fan girls...not to mention the assassins, ambush, all kinda stuff by fangirls and fanboys. *shiver* I doubt that he'll die. If Masashi-sama killed him off then he might as well sign an early death certificate.

Omg...o_O that's scariiiiii...*goes to the corner* okay okay I knew that fan girls/boys exist. But I didnt know that they were ahem soo violent and corrupted and scariii. BUt then I guess I would react the same way. I never thought that fan girls/boys existed until my friend told me that fan girls/boys exist in her country. I was just o_O.

But still...I highly doubt that the creators will kill him off. I'll kill him before that...*mwhhahahahahahahahahhahahaha* ...*coff coff* that laugh and the sarcasm and the imaginary talk getting influentual. I'm hanging around with too many wierdos lately or maybe the holiday is rubbing on me.

I think Sasuke should live.

Thinking about it, if Sasuke didn't betray Konoha, a good chunk of the manga wouldn't have happened. From chapter 181 and onwards, which is sort of sad since that's more than a hundred chapters. Also, because he left, there was so much character building. Neji, Kiba, Chouji, and Shikamaru, who usually don't get a whole lot screen time, wouldn't have been developed that much. We might not have found out about the depth of Shikamaru's and Chouji's friendship in such a touching way.

Also, it could have been any person who abandoned Konoha. It's just that Sasuke had the perfect personality and background to go after Orochimaru. I find it strange that people hate Sasuke for just leaving Konoha and joining Orochimaru, yet they love Itachi, even though he left Konoha, joined the most organized and feared criminal association, massacred his entire family, and is one of the main antagonists of the story.

Plus, if Sasuke hadn't left, where would we be in the story? Team 7 continues training under Kakashi (not each of them training with their respective Sannin), and perhaps wouldn't have become as powerful as they are now. Sasuke simply continues training until he's strong enough to kill Itachi, and all of them go and face the Akatsuki? It just doesn't seem as interesting as it is now.

He should become the arch nemesis of Naruto, in the future where Naruto becomes the most powerful ninja, he should be the antagonist (after doing some horrible deeds, like kill Sakura or whatever). Or he could live, but whatever happens I don't want him taking Naruto's spotlight.

What do you mean it's not intresting? Hello are you oblivious to the cliffhanger that is the Gaara deathscare? or the part where Naruto told Sakura about Kyuubi? The story is better off without Sasugay (reason will be told when asked). Look at Sakura or Ino. They all have gotten stronger and developed into better characters without Sasugay. Do you really want them to have millions of bashers hating them and them turning back into fangirls? To hfil (home for infinite losers) with Sasuke. I hope Sasuke dies early and dies a virgin.

In fact, I said that if he hadn't left, a lot of character building would not have happened, and when I said, "It just doesn't seem as interesting as it is now," I meant the show wouldn't be as interesting as it is now (including the part here we were all wondering whether or not Gaara would live or not, till an angel in the form of Chiyo baa-sama came and saved his life with the super cool jutsu) if Sasuke HADN'T betrayed the village (as that's the reason 99% of his haters seem to hate him).

And no, I don't want Ino and Sakra to turn back into fangirls. ¬¬ Their characters right now are more deep and much more likeable.

(About the 'Sasugay thing' - I don't think I want to know ¬¬ - But just incase I get curious in the future, the offer still stands, right?)

DancingPickle101: If Sasuke lives, it doesn't really mean that Gaara will die. ^^ None of us want our favourite red head dead!

Plus, I don't think Gaara's in a ridiculous amount of danger right now (at least from the Akatsuki) since his Jinchuuriki is gone.

Lastly: *Pout* I seem to be the only one here who likes Sasuke... *Sigh*

Before anyone takes it the wrong way and starts a rant. I call Sasuke Sasugay because it's funny and it's to annoy those rabid Sasuke fangirls (AKA Mary Sue writers) and Yaoi fangirls who bash Sakura chan. I wonder it Akatsuki's leader is a drag queen. Would explain alot (cough cough nail-painting villains cough cough). I wonder if Gaara properly mutiliated his son of a B*** father's dead body. Wait a sec *uses Tsukoyomi on 4th Kazekage, tortures him by making him watch barney for 3 days* Why does all the bashing go to Gaara and not to that b*** who actually deserves it?

(PS I hate the 4th Kazekage)

Now, being the lazy person I am, I didn't bother to read any of the other posts, sorry. Here's what I think: Sasuke MUST die. I don't mean that in a negative way. When Itachi dies, I'm expecting Sasuke to follow soon afterwards. That way, the Uchiha Clan can be put to rest. Before Itachi dies, he should say something nice to Sasuke to make him cry. Also, Sasuke should turn good again before dying. That's how some villains are. This way, they'll both be dead and be reunited in the afterlife and be happy.

I want a sad ending for Sasuke. I don't know why, I guess a sad ending just suits him more.

Sasuke's already dead in a sense. Remember when he had to go curse seal two? He had to die first.

Having got that out of the way, if he was to die, I'd prefer him to die at the toward the end of Naruto. Plus I'd like to see him actually kill Itachi because after all that ** that him and others had to go through, it would just be silly not for him to kill Itachi.

I think Sasuke will sort of cause his own death. Like, either kill himself after killing Itachi or even ask/force Naruto to kill him. He seems like a rather unstable fellow, especially now that he's under Orochimaru's tutelage.

Of course there's the minor detail that Orochimaru might just take over Sasuke's body, effectively killing him. Sasuke's last request would be 'Kill Itachi' and then you get a cataclismic battle between Orochimaru/Sasuke and Itachi.

-Sasuke gets trapped with Deidara's bird which starts continually pecking his stupid Sasugay hair and then everyone lives happily ever after. (except for Sasuke who'll die violently if he tries to escape or kill the bird)

If Sasuke died, then that would mean angst for Naruto and Sakura as well. I kinda don't want to see them like that... unless Sasuke redeemed himself in the very end. Which I think he will.

EDIT: Oops, didn't read the other posts. I agree with Jeebus; if Sasuke dies, it would be in that final showdown between him and Itachi. However, it would be interesting to see Naruto kill Itachi, not Sasuke. Or have Sakura kill Sasuke.
