sasuke will go back to konoha on his own free will but that is to avenge his brother itachi and to actually declare war with konoha, itself. he actually obtained his new magenkyou sharingan through itachi. his brother gave all hios knowledge and skills to him and even implanted amaterasu on his left eye.

itachi can't kill sasuke for he actually loves sasuke so much that he didn't kill him like the rest. he was able to kill his parents, lover, bestfriend and the rest of the clan members except sasuke. it's because itachi loved konoha that's why he killed his own clan.

reason behind it??? simple. the uchiha clan is causing an uprising. they became traitors of their own country. that's why.

and since itachi was traumatized by the past wars, he doesn't want history to repeat himself. he killed his clan so sasuke not to be able to witness and experience what it feels like to see people dying infront of you.

I remember when i first read that, i felt so bad for both of them. Itachi was just being an awesome older brother, and Sasuke was tricked by alot of people. It's unfair *sob*.

I believe that in the end, he will have destroyed a majority of konoha, and there will be some sort of super-epic fight with Naruto.
