Yeah. I so don't get why they want to branch out! People watch the channel for science fiction! And someone mentioned that they would spell it Syfy in a text. That doesn't even make sense to me! I'd write it how it's supposed to be and how it should stay - SciFi. I know part of the reason they are changing it is because since Science Fiction is a genre, they can't copyright SciFi. But they'd be able to copyright SyFy. Ok, I get that they want to copyright it, but they could so have come up with something better! And apparently they're getting rid of the Saturn sympbol too. I think they should keep that. They'd be able to copyright it, right? And that symbol is easily recognizable as SciFi.

Anyway, I should probably get off that topic. The name change just really bugs me! It's so stupid.

Btw, welcome to the forum Shayna Maidel! Not sure I ever said that. I have the letters F, P, and R. You can have one of those if you want. Though F is due really soon (Steph just needs to get up her story for E!). So I don't know if you want any of them, but let me know.

Thanks, saphiretwin ^_^ It's fine about the letters-- a plot bunny bit me hard for a Spark-A-Movie just a few minutes ago (literally), and I've learned from experience that juggling more than one fic at a time with due dates can be dangerous XD.

As far as name changes go, I'm sure there are worse things to change it to; their reasons, though, bug me. 'Get away from the geek image'... honestly, what audience do they expect they're going to attract?

I love Sanctuary, though. Amanda Tapping is fantastic, and is really proving she won't be typecasted as Carter. Robin Dunne was good too, though I wasn't expecting him to be, when watching the Pilot. I'd disagree about Sci-Fi trying to attract the Twilight fangirly crowd-- Tesla's not exactly the type you go crazy over; I've seen clips. The Anne Rice crowd, maybe. But not the teenage girls who are for some reason obsessing over a sparkly Gary-Stu *indistinct muttering* _

Actually...um...Tesla has a gigantic fangirl following *cough...* There's a facebook group for him and an entire thread on GateWorld dedicated to him...not that I...um...am I member of either of those *shifty eyes* XD

But don't worry, Cody, he's actually pretty awesome on the show. I am no Twilight fan (TRUST me) and I LOVE him*cough*biggestunderstatementofthecentury*cough*. The actor who plays him, Jonathon Young (Dr. Parrish on SGA), actually started his career by writing a play about the real Tesla ^_^ So he knows a lot about the real guy. And the way he plays the character is awesome...he is a freaking AMAZING actor... But he's no Edward Cullen. He's way better than Edward Cullen. Like, infinitely better to the 100 millionth power :) And yeah, he does attract fangirls, but the *weird* sort like me who become so obsessed with the character that they end up researching the real guy and then as a result become obsessed with the real guy to the point where they have to mention something the real guy said/did at least 5 times a day. :D

And he's only been in 2 episodes!! XDXD

Crazy, I've seen the final ep of BSG. I cried, it was so sad and I had Steph on the phone venting her misery too. It was a really great ending though, perfect for BSG, final and yet still open. You really should watch it!
