Well I'll go first, so no one will be shy,

I don't write very often, but due to the lack there was of Shep/Teyla fics I decided to try my hand at it.

I've got maybe 4 fics, WIP, with the hope to finish them by New Years, but we will see.

I liked the John and Teyla pairing since that first cave scene, i know blatantly in your face, but it just stuck, and the smile that they had here and there, just kept me with it.

i am definatly a shep/teyla person myself. ive onlt written two fanfics so far....well, im working on them....and i could think of no one better for sheppard then teyla. the story im working on the most right now is "Artifact". plenty of shep/teyla stuff there. any other person paired with sheppard i think would be unnatural.

I am from Australia and I knew from the very first episode that John/Teyla would be paired together.

I get sick and tired of hearing the 'Shweirs' pairing Ronon and Teyla together.

I would first like to say that I love all the characters on the show especially Ronon!!

But I would rather slap Rodney silly then see Teyla and Ronon together when clearly we are shown that John and Teyla are ment to be together....sorry had to vent that out

Yes, there is the habit of pairing like with like, and to some it's the greatest thing in the world and others totally bland. That's Sheppard/Weir and Ronon/Teyla for me....

There's just oo much alike with both pairs for me to actually saying wow...there's no spark...

Yes we all like to vent at times...:-D...Fandom, will drive you to the loony bin if you let it.

I read lots of fics but I don't write, at least not Stargate. I feel I wouldn't do them justice. I've tried once but that fic got stuck to the prologue. Hopefully one day I'll continue.

Hello there. :) I posted this on another Sheyla thread, but that one seems pretty inactive, so I'm reposting here.

I'm first and foremost a Sparky shipper, but I was really curious to see what Sheyla fans like to discuss in the way of potential relationships, friendship, romantic tension, etc. for John and Teyla. You guys have some great ideas and I love how everyone can interpret the world of Stargate as they like. I don't believe in bashing others' ship opinions (you can't help what you love!) and I would state my opinion regarding most things Stargate with reasons why (unless surrounded by those who have the same opinions of me and the reasons are obvious - *pokes ShWeir threads*). Basically, I'm prepared to say that I don't see John and Teyla happening in the show romantically, but I adore their close friendship. They have such a deep level of trust and always support each other when no one else will. While I don't read Sheyla stories that are closely tied in with Atlantis (okay, I haven't read ANY), I am willing to read AU fics, preferably those that take place back on Earth, that involve lots of situations (John is a detective and meets Teyla while on a case, for example). (I guess you can see that my mind is already separating Sheyla from Sparky back in Atlantis). Anyway, just wanted to post my opinion and my support for the whole 'no bashing of other people's opinions' notion. Any thoughts? :)
