Greetings, thanks for setting up this forum (zhaara from TWoP)

Re the fluff definition, maybe lighthearted, definately NO angst, usually a bit silly, may or may not be OOC? I have this weird, "I know it when I see it" framework for a lot of these things & I write the damn stuff.

I've thought of it along those same lines, and you're right when you say that you know it when you see it. The obits in the House Survivor threads seem to fit the "fluff" definition perfectly.

I also seem to think of adding in humor when its fluff. It seems to become OOC only when the characters are so serious to begin with. Like, Cameron will bounce around with a tiara or something. That's fluff and OOC, but that's because she never tries to joke around. Same with Foreman. Chase, House, Wilson, and sometimes Cuddy can do in-character fluff it seems.

Giggle! I can see Cuddy being fluffy a bit more easily than Cam because we do see her with more of a sense of humor with House & others. Cam, you're right, fluffy!Cam is a mental image I can't deal with. Has anyone ever seen any successful fluffy!Cam fic?

For me House fluff is... Well normal House fic but without any angst. Lots of snark and humor and cuteness. It can be done! How? keep it short and keep it in character. I wrote a short little fluff piece that was set when Chase was new (errr before we learned Chase had other co-workers before Cameron and Foreman) and not used to House yet, House snaps at him, comparing having him to having a puppy with drool all over and chewed up pencils, Chase offers to buy new ones, House is happy and just tells him to stay away from his markers. End of fic!

I like fluff. They're a nice break after reading a half a dozen angst/cutting/ED/etc...fics! lol

I like fluff myself, partic House fulff & Chase fluff after all the emo!angst!Chase that's out there. Cam fluff though, yet to see it, mental block there.
