SilverCyanideTopic: There's only one 'u' There's only one 'u' in Syusuke/Shusuke. Apparently adding two changes the meaning of the name completely (was just told by a friend who knows Japanese).Just thought you'd want to know. |

Apocripha-0Not really... His name is 周助. In hiragana, that is written as しゅうすけ, which is pronounced shu-u-su-ke. And since there is a double "u" sound, his name in romaji would be Shuusuke or Syuusuke (both are okay). But you can write "Syusuke" alright, because in romaji we often ignore the double vowel sounds. :\ | #2 Jun 02nd 2007, 11:08pm | |

ketchupbloodActually, there's a minimum of two, and three if you want. See?Sy(u)s(u)ke/Sh(u)s(u)ske. ^-^ Speaking of which... Is it Syuusuke or Shuusuke? O.o |

Chibimomokoi say Syuusuke it looks nicer in my opinion. ^-^ |

Kyoka-BOODoesn't matter. When I learned romanization of vowels, though, I learned that it was 'Shu', not 'Syu'. So logically, I really tend to spell everything romanized that way, and since I didn't learn it that way, my mind tends to shut down when I see it spelled that way. I've always spelled mine 'Shuusuke' |

Heart Br0ken<33, yeahh me too. I love the way Syuusuke looks more than the other ways of writing his name~ |

KlappyBut generally, it doesn't matter whether the 'u's single or double, right? Mine, I've used Syusuke AND Syuusuke. And I do agree that it looks better than with the 'h' one. |
