Mmm. Just thought I'd say a quick hello to all out there, before I head off tomorrow morning for a night down in Bath.

Everyone still alive?!

Somehow I live, beneath stacks, piles, never ending cascading sheets of numbers and algebraic equations. Hidden by vast amounts of sheet music and a dusty viola though not from lack of play but of love. Trodden by French poetry; jumbled words of dis-concord. In the shadow eternally from friends and family, though not a night this week I have spent without the company of a flashlight under the covers. Of half lidded eyes, fighting to stay open, to read maybe just one more sentence, but it simply repays in your mind without you understanding, obscured by the sleep-filled mind which demands sedation. Latched to my desk, holding on with mere fingertips because if I let go I know I will fail to do what is expected of me. A heavy weight, crushing my back, as if like Atlas I carried the world between two shoulder blades, the feeling of parental dissapointment and the frowns upon teachers faces.

The white snow outside is a reminder that there is life outside these wall, this city, this place. That I am not alone in a world of work.

I pass by and I see children laughing, without a worry in the world and find myself wishing to be those slobbery mouths and sticky-fingered lackwits, if solely for the joy of a moment of peace.

Haha, I have taken a leaf from my friend's book and ha ve become a drama queen, if only for a moment. :D

I LOVE COURSEWORK!!!

(i know that's wierd ... but because of coursework i did not have to do a 2 hour R.E..... Hurrah!!!!!!!)

I have come to the conclusion that my life is crap. complete and utter crap.

I have several assessment to complete, my family is currently putting up with a custody battle, i just got dumped via text in the middle of class... oh wow, this list could go on forever! The sad thing is, it really could.

Although, on the plus side, as crap as my life may be, and no matter how bad luck seems to follow me wherever i go.. i have fantastic friends. One sat up with me one night just making sure i was ok, 2 are currently forcing me to go to one of their places for a girls night, several have wanted to kick the bastards arse.

And even tho i still seem to be in love with my ex of about 3 years, and heads over heels for the before mentioned bastard, dealing with school, dealing with home, dealing with idiot people who cant get over themselves and make sure that no matter what the conversation always goes back to them and their issues...

I know, i rant alot, but really, i need a new life.

Ex boyfriends suck. I got dumped via text the night before my first exam in first year uni after going out with him for 2 and a half years. Although, I had gotten to the point where I didn't care that much whether he stayed or went because he was such a *** bastard. He'd been trying to get me to dump him for ages - so I wouldn't - why should I have done his dirty work for him? You could say he was my first love, promised me the world etc etc, but was arrogant, self absorbed, and valued the feelings of his flatmate higher than mine.

I do actually have a point, its coming.

I do understand your point, but speaking from experience, it works so much better in the long term to never contact them or speak to them - at least for a few months. I deleted ex's number as soon as we'd mutually established that he was a wanker - via instant messaging mind, and the only time I spoke to him next was about 10 months later. Whenever I saw him I either hid, or ignored him. We're on ok terms now, 20ish months after breaking up, but I still refuse to give him my cell phone number. The time I spent ignoring him got him out of my head completely, and allowed me to move on. As for friends, mine were awesome when this all occured. We drove past his house at 2am one night, slowly, with the horn on. Makes you feel better, even if you don't directly see the result.

Not knowing your circumstances, I don't know if it will work for you, but hey, its an idea.

I remain frustrated at one of my friends who keeps breaking up with his girlfriend/2nd cousin. He keeps dumping her, but never listens to me to back off and leave her alone for a bit, he's always trying to make sure she's ok. A week later, they're back together. Gah!

As for assesments etc, I know how you feel. I've got exams in a couple of weeks, and huge amounts of familial pressure. I got to the point last weekend where I curled up on my bed and cried, poor current bf thought he'd done something wrong. :/

Anywho, hope that's helped you a bit Moon-Goddessxx, it does get better eventually - but I guess thats not really what you wanna hear right now is it. My bad.

boys suck. period. the end. i've been dating this guy for like 6 months but he still refuses to "define our relationship". My ex is back in town and a few days ago we went for coffee. current boy found out and flipped out. he's mad at me for "dating" someone else (i'm not but whatever)

i think he's full of s*** because he refuses to actually call me his girlfriend. so i ended it. i figured i wasted enough time.

moral of the story?

I won't give you any stories about boyfriends that suck because a) I don't have any bad stories and b) have never had a boyfriend. But here is what I will say. You are an independent woman in a country where rights are equal. You don't want to give him the time of day? Don't. It's hard to get over exs, even if \you know they're bastards. Gim as the thought mayt be-- one day life goes on.

It's even sadder to get over one you liked but can no longer see because you live in a different country, my friend is completely broken, he is an adorable Swedish boy head over heels for another friend of mine. He'll come back to visit and she'll be with someone else and it'll break his heart but he still loves her, so he'll keep coming back until he moves on, or decides to visit for a different reason.

Domslove, good on you. There's a guy I know who's been doing that to me for a while now, it's really getting ion my nerves, he could at east oretend that he gives a s***. --sigh-- why is life so hard? Exams coming up...

I'm glad this forum is still alive, it's a nice place to take a break from life...

*hides from angry mob with pitchforks* Just thought I'd lighten things up a bit, you know?! I'm so revisionned up and stressed out that I think I may have gone temporarily insane. Which is quite fun really, because though I am completely stressed I've gone into a bit of a oblivious daze about everything, making things so much less painful.

On the very, very plus side-I've just done my last Maths exam....EVERR! Never will I have to balance simultaneous equations again, or figure out functions of trigonometric graphs, or use pythagorus, or surds. THANK THE LORDDDD! :D

Oh, and ditto on the whole 'boys suck' stuff. Completely agree. Hope things get better for everyone :)

Public statistical planning, sounds like a blast. My freind was taking French drama (we need 11 complete courses for an honours French certificate) but because they screwed up her timetable she has to take grade 11 accounting instead. Yeah, I'll stick to my strings and Latin electives if it's all the same. : )

i start music school in 15 dayyss :) thank the lord. i've been stuck in practice studios all summer. endless hours of rehearsal- that's what my profs consider summer work
