"I promise a woman to woman talk later, Cat" i said, walking inside.

/Viv/

I continued to flinch and wince in pain. "H-Hurry and-d my-y wrist-t broken-n too..."

/Lucas/

I opened my eyes to see the amazing veiw of an empty room.

"Well now, how did I fall asleep?" I said, "Oh yea thats right I was thinking about..." I stopped hearing something outside the door.

/Catherine/

"I'm perfectly fine with that, Carmen," I told her as we led Gabriel back inside. "Honestly, I'd feel better if you got him patched up first. That looks to be a pretty nasty cut..."

/Alexsei/

"Don't worry, Vivi...I'm going to make it quick..." I promised her as I pulled out some cloth bandages and started to wrap them quickly-but gently-around her torso.

/Carmen/

We walked in to the room and found Alexsei patching p Vivia and shee was whimpering in pain. "What happened here!?" I asked, alarmed.

/Alexsei/

"Matthias tried to bolt with her...I think he re-broke a few ribs, damn him to hell..." I growled. "Vivian, I'm sorry, I know it hurts...I promise, it's only going to be for a few more minutes..."

"Oh.....my God! Is she alright?"

/Lucas/

I checked to make sure I was ready for anything as I slowly opened the door. I peered out into the hallway.

/Alexsei/

"She's in pain, but that's only to be expected..." I said. "I'm almost done patching her up...What brings you guys here, anyways? I thought you were busy with the horde out front..."

/Lucas/

I checked to make sure I was ready for anything as I slowly opened the door. But as soon as I did I closed it back. I decided to take a quick nap before doing anything else.

/Carmen/

"That's the good news! The old Gene's trying to break free. He pulled back and retreated. He didn't want to fight. Where are your medical kit? Gabriel needs to be cleaned."

/Alexsei/

"One moment...I'm almost done with Vivi..." I finished wrapping Vivian's wrist, then turned to Gabriel. He was clutching his arm, which sported a deep gash and was bleeding profusly. I winced.

"That looks painful..." I said, digging through my bag. "And...really? The old Gene is trying to break free? That's...hell, that's wonderful!"

/Carmen/

"I know!" i turned to Cat. "Aren't you happy, Cat? You said that he said that he still loves you! All's well that ends well, right?"

/Ilyana/

-Victor had woken up from his nap and began wailing. He had had a bad dream, and so I sat in the rocking chair my husband had made for me, holding my son and singing gently to him.-

"My darling, my baby, don't cry, don't cry. Your bad dreams have all gone by, gone by. Your Mama is here to dry all your tears, so hush now my little one, my baby, don't cry," -I sang gently. I bit my lower lip once I had finished the verse to stem the flow of tears that threatened to spring forth. My husband Frankenstein had been gone for a month in search of our friend Kaja, and I had still not come to terms with his departure. We had agreed that it was what had to be done, and together made the decision, but I still missed him terribly and worried daily.-

/Lexa/

-I heard the soft sound of Ilyana's voice singing to little Victor and followed it into the nursery, a sleeping Noah in my arms. I walked over to her and sat beside her on a small stool.-

"How long has it been, now?" -I asked her after hearing her despaired thoughts.-

/Ilyana/

-Lexa entered to put Noah to bed and she came to sit with me. I was glad for the company.-

"Five weeks and three days," -I said, sniffling. The tears were now even closer to flooding my eyes.- "I'm worried about him, Lexa. A man like him...he's strong and a fighter, but I can't bear to think what might happen to him if he is caught."

/Lexa/

"I wouldn't fret, Ilyana. He won't be caught. And if he is, he'll find a way out of that hellhole. I know it's hard, but you must believe it."

/Thanatos/

Nickelia collapsed to the floor, death already claiming her. After inspecting her moribund aspects and satisfied with my work, I summoned Rolf to me and then returned his memories. His first reaction was to run to Nickelia’s side.

“Nikki, no,” he whispered fiercely, silver eyes distraught and grieving, “I’m so sorry, so sorry for causing you such pain.” As if he remembered I was here, he snapped his head up, eyes aflame in a blood-red hue.

“What the hell did you do to her, vulture?!” he snapped at me. I smirked, telling him of our bargain and withdrawing my rosary, dangling in front of Nickelia’s face.

“Never fear, Rolf, you won’t be with out your darling Nikki for long,” I remarked thusly and began reciting the incantation to revive the young hybrid all so she could rejoin Rolf in their tender, fragile love.

/Egil/

I tilted my head sideways so I could face Illenka better. “I know yet I feel that I have to… I’m kept the pain of this story bottled in me for so long that the jeremiad has succeeded in tearing me apart.”

“Besides,” I added, “I dislike keeping secrets from the woman I love.”

/Sigrid/

Softly chuckling at Kalan’s words, I wrapped a bed sheet around by body before I went hunting for my clothes. “I’m glad you think so. You staying my room will certainly make the chamber more…inviting.” I finished coquettishly as I slipped my pants back on.

/Edward/

“Wait!” I voiced out suddenly, “Lenora’s here?!” If that was true, then her timing couldn’t have been more impeccable.

/Kalan/

"I can imagine how lonely it must be in there...perhaps it will be someplace you enjoy keeping to," -I grinned mischievously.-

/Sigrid/

Cocking a grin to match Kalan’s, I sauntered over to him once my shirt was back on, placing one hand against his chest. “Oh, I can assure you I will once you’re there,” I replied suggestively, my icy blue eyes scintillating with mirth.

/Kalan/

-Damn, those eyes! I felt my manhood stand at attention as I followed her into her room, ready and eager to resume our lovemaking.-

"Sigrid, sweetling, you shall wear me out before long," -I said.-

/Sigrid/

“Oh really,” I responded drolly, sitting down on my bed and crossing one leg over the other while eyeing Kalan lovingly, “I would have never thought I could affect you so much.” Oh, how I loved the way he stared hungrily at me, as if I was the answer to his prayers. I blushed inwardly, hardly believing how passionate he was towards me.

(Hey, Saph, can Kalan sense souls in other people? Like fetuses?)

/Nickelia/

The blackness surrounding me didn't last long...not long at all. Before I knew it, I was breathing again, and opening my eyes. There was my Master, kneeling over me, a blackened rosary dangling in his hand. But, more importantly...Rolf! My Rolf! I threw my arms around his neck, hugging him.

"Rolf..." I whispered into his neck.

/Catherine/

I nodded, shuffling my feet. "I suppose all's well that ends well..." I loved Gene, and he loved me back...but there was one problem. I was tired of being hurt by Gene. And how could I know he was telling the complete and honest truth? I couldn't believe I was distrusting him, but...what could I say? After everything this past year, I wasn't sure I could trust him as I once did.

To distract myself, I turned to Edward. "Er...I guess she is here..."

/Carmen/

I helped Gabriel on the bed. Alexsei took out his cleaning tools. "Where's Marisol" I said, looking around. I told her to hide."

(no, he can't. only Sofiya can do that)

/Kalan./

-I fell back onto the bed and smelled its heady fragrance. It was entoxicating, the smell of Sigrid.-

"You entice me beyond reason, madam."

(Ah, I see. Guess I must find another way then...)

/Rolf/

I encompassed my arms around Nikki’s waist, breathing in her spellbinding fragrance that could bewitch my senses. “Nikki, I am so sorry for everything. I can’t believe I caused you so much grief!”

/Edward/

“Then that bodes well for us, gel. If she’s here, then we have the means of turning the tables.” I stared longingly at her, wondering whether she truly love Gene or not. If not, I was there for her…no matter what.

/Sigrid/

Smiling softly at Kalan’s admission, I laid down beside, gazing fondly into his piercing blue eyes. “And you stir passion within me I never thought possible,” I replied, brushing a strand of blonde hair out his eyes. My heart fluttered as he pulled me towards him and kissed me affectionately on the lips.

“I love you, Kalan,” I whispered between breaths, “Thor’s hammer, I truly do.”

"And I you, my sweetling. Let us forget the enemy for now. Let us have some time alone with each other, forgetting our cares."

/Ilyana/

"Lexa, I am scared," -I said, stifling the tears.- "I haven't heard from him. I haven't seen him. What if he was captured?"

/Lexa/

"You worry too much, Ilyana. Your husband is the strongest man I have ever met. I know he won't go down without a fight. And he would do anything to make sure he came home to you and Victor."

(*laughs* Odin's eye!)

/Sigrid/

Shaking my head while laughing at Kalan’s proposal and saying, “Sounds good to me. I’d loved to loss them with you.” Without missing a beat, Kalan proceed to undress me and I to him. “Sometimes I wonder why we even bothered wearing close today…”

/Kalan/

"Unfortunately, it is a necessity when lovers return to earth." -I said, my eyes skimming over every beautiful inch of her.-

/Sigrid/

“Such a pity,” I murmured, arching my hips against his and he hissed with pleasure, “but lets make this moment last…with no interruptions whatsoever.”

/Kalan/

"I can make it last as long as you like,' -I said, sliding over her.-

/Sigrid/

Entwining my legs around his waist and placed my hands against his back, I pressed myself up against his body to experience the full heat of the passion brewing between us.

“Oh, I love that very much,” I answered huskily, staring directly in the eyes, “make it as long as you can, I don’t want this moment to end.”

/Kalan/

"With pleasure, my sweetling," -I replied, joining us together.-

/Sigrid/

After much rigorous, ardent lovemaking, Kalan and I laid intertwined on the bed, in each other’s arms. I rested my head against him, a question blooming in my head. Finally daring to ask, I prompted the query.

“Kalan?” I began, “Do you ever contemplate having a family?”

/Illenka/

I nodded silently, trying to hide the enthusiasm of his words as they enveloped me--he loved me!!! But more importantly: I loved him back.

"Tell me then," I encouraged, my voice low and subdued.

I smiled and gently rubbed Rolf's back and shoulders. "It's okay, Rolf...you know that I'd always forgive you, no matter what you did..."

/Catherine/

"Really?" I asked. "Huh...wait, when you say turn the tables...do you mean...against Alana, Gene...and even your master?"

"She's in here, don't you worry..." I told Carmen as I took a look at the gash on Gabriel's arm. "She came in here and dove under the covers..."

Marisol then poked her head out, watching as I took a look at Gabriel's injury. "Is Mr. Gabriel hurt?"

/Carmen/

I picked up Marisol and set her in my lap. "He got a scratch, but he's gonna be just fine." I kissed her brow. "Aren't you, Gabe?" I wanted Gabe to assure Marisol becase she looked worried.

/Gabriel/

I nodded to Carmen's words. "Of course...I'll be just fine, Marisol. It's only a little cut...I don't even feel it, honestly..."

"You don't?" Alexsei asked in surprise. "That's...that's strange..."

/Carmen/

"Alexsei, is everything alright with him? Should he feel something? Are his nerves damaged?"

/Alexsei/

"There might be a bit of nerve damage..." I said, gently prodding at the wound. "Gabriel...can you still move your fingers?"

He nodded, then wriggled his fingers. That puzzled me...he couldn't feel his injury, but he could move his fingers, so...I wasn't sure if it was nerve damage or not...

/Carmen/

I began to worry. I took Gabe's uninjured arm and held it. "There's something, isn't there?" Alexsei didn't answer. "Alexsei, you're scaring me."

/Alexsei/

"I...I'm not sure..." I said. "I mean...if there was any damage to the nerves, then he wouldn't be able to move his arm or fingers at all...But he can move them. The only thing is that he's not feeling any pain from this gash...erm, Gabriel, can you feel anything else with your injured arm?"

"I can..." he said, a small smile flickering over his face. "I can feel that your hands feel like sandpaper, Alexsei! God...what do you do to make them so rough?!"

I scowled. "Watch it, Gabriel..."

/Carmen/

Alexsei's scaring me and Gabriel's making jokes!? "Stop it, you two! I'm serious here! You two are scaring me, dammit!" i said, scared and frustration. "What is wrong with him? The pain receptors?"

/Alexsei/

Gabriel looked sufficiently cowed by Carmen's words, and he mumbled an apology. I gave her one as well, then turned back to the gash. "Perhaps...pain receptors are located in the brain, however...there are outlets of sorts on the skin, which send the signals to the pain receptors any time we do something that causes pain...so...it may not be a problem with the pain receptors as much as the nerves that recieve the pain and set off the reactors..."

(Just as an FYI, I have no idea if anything I just said is God's honest truth or if I'm just full of it...so if it comes to be that I'm full of it, please, don't think too harshly of me ^^;)

/Carmen/

I sighed. "Just wrap the wound, Alexsei!" I said, frustated. I hated when people scare the Hell out of me especially now because it's concerning someone I loved.

/Alexsei/

I yelped and started to dig through my bags for more cloth bandages. "Yes, Carmen, right away..!"

/Carmen/

I got off the bed, setting Marisol on the bed. "Cat, look after Marisol, I'm going for a breath of fresh air..." I didn't even wait for Cat's response, I just walked out.

/Catherine/

Carmen turned Marisol over to me, then stormed out of the room. Marisol climbed into my arms and buried her face in my shoulder, while Gabriel watched Carmen go with concern in his eyes.

"Carmen...Carmen!" he called, almost fighting off Alexsei in his wish to follow after Carmen. Alexsei finished bandaging his arm, then Gabriel bolted after Carmen...

/Rolf/

Gazing deeply into her emerald eyes with all the love in world, I tucked a curly auburn lock behind her ears, allowing my fingers to gaze her cheek. “By the Elvin gods I am so lucky to have you, Nikki. You still want me even though I wallow in the shadows…”

/Edward/

Shaking my head, I duly replied, “No, not my master. You see, Lenora and Master Thanatos knew each other when they were quite young and from what Clarissa told me, they were pretty infatuated with one another. Of course, Thanatos’s mentor, Uther, effaced that love…or so we thought.”

/Egil/

Well, here goes nothing.

“After Cassandra and I been courting, a local waif came to our midst. He’s name was Judas and my coven evnetually took pity on his plight and welcomed him into the Swenhaugen House.” I paused, allowing Illenka to soak all this in. When she implored me to continue, I complied.

“However, he turned out to be bit of an outcast hence we become fast friends. When I met him, I thought I had finally found someone who could understand me and we talk about anything we want, you know, boy to boy. Yet, of course, Fate chose to be cruel and on one fateful day, Judas was introduced to Cassandra and everything unraveled after that.”

/Carmen/

I was on the porch when I heard Gabriel. I quickly wiped my tears away and turned around to face around. My sniffles gave away the fact that had shed a few tears. "What is it, Gabriel...?"

/Nickelia/

"Of course I love you, Rolf..." I told him, letting my hands slide down his strong arms to take his hands. "You were the first man to ever look at me as something more than simply a hybrid freak or an outcast. The better question is...is...do you still love me? Even though...I've done something you may not be proud of..."

/Catherine/

"So I take it necromancers don't really believe in love, huh?" I asked wrily.

/Gabriel/

I approached Carmen and gently put my hands on her upper arms. One of my hands reached out and brushed away a tear on her cheek. "Aww...Carmen, what's wrong, my love? Why are you upset? Are you in pain at all?"
