It's gonna be one HUGE triangle... btw... did anybody hear if they're gonna cancel Degrassi after Craig, Jimmy, Hazel, Paige, Spinner, etc. all graduate with this year (i'm talking Grade 12's)... they should do a spin off... "Degrassi: Gone to College"... hey... anybody wanna start that on fanfiction? make a series... everybody can work together to make a huge series... just a thought... I mean... overactive imaginationwell, i really think that craig and ellie would have been perfect. They both love music, love standing out from the crowd, and they both go to the same group meeting thing. With Craig's mental illness, it would have been great to have someone who understands things, such as ellie, who used to be a cutter. I think that Craig was so stupid to pick Manny over Ellie, I always wonder what Craig sees in Manny. Manny is conceited and mean, and self-centered, and overdramatic and I dont like her. Pinkie Tuscadarohey this is like a year later but i've never seen these forum things before...anyway i do sort of like crellie, i mean, i like them. but i was thinking about them and it seems that as far as the characters go on the show...it seems that ellie would like to be with craig for the same exact reasons craig doesn't want to be with ellie. craig doesn't want to be with ellie...not that i haven't read some great fanfictions where they are together...but he doesn't want to be with her because she knows too much about him, she's seen him in group and at his low points, he doesn't like that. he didn't like ashley feeling like she had to tiptoe around him in season 4 after he was bipolar. he keeps choosing manny because manny worships him, overlooks his flaws. this is a critical part of craig's personality, he doesn't like the brutal truth all the time. ellie, on the other hand, had no interest in craig until she thought they could relate on this "I'm screwed up and so are you," level that she likes. and i'm rambling. and craig and ellie are not even real people, but darn it they are real to me.| #25 Jan 10th 2008, 2:48pm | |

Craig and Ellie are perfect for each other because of their imperfections! Manny and Ashley conform to society's mindless rules and stigmas too much and could never understand Craig. They both have issues: Craig, the bipolar and drugs, and Ellie, the cutting. (On a side note that was the one issue Degrassi didn't get right, it isn't that easy to get over, is addicting, et cetera). Anyways, also Craig and Ellie are both very passionate and wild people when compared to Ashley and Manny. Its hard to explain but its simply an intensity that exists in their eyes and attitudes that is not in Ashley or Manney or Jimmy or Sean or any of the rest of them, except perhaps later on Jane. Crash doesn't work because she would be worried all the time and keep asking Craig "if he was on his meds" but I think that just because Ellie has seen Craig at his darkest it DOESN'T mean that she would treat him the same way - its the kind of thing "We both have problems, so what, we don't think about it but we have each other so eventually our problems will be under control" sorta thing, they can be there for each other without hagging each other or "stigmatizing" each other or making each other feel bad for who they are. Someone here said that Craig went to manny because she treats him like a God and makes him forget the truth, that is exactly the kind of thing you go to when you want something temporary that is just an escape; however it cannot last and wheras Ashley was afraid and fled to London (similar to Rachel Dawes not being able to accept the fact that Bruce is Batman and only being willing to be with him if he chose to give up being Batman which is STUPID of her) because she couldn't deal with Craig, Ellie can and because she has had her dark moments as well, but not only because of that (the way she chose to deal shows thatshe is a strong person, even though its not the best thing, she didn't choose to whine about things like Ashley does, in a way she has herself together), she is a strong enough person to be able to be there for Craig. its just like in Batman, Bruce needs someone strong enough and who can defend herself, like Selina Kyle/Catwoman. its the same thing here, kind of, where everyone realizes that opposites may attract and may not but even if they do they are not compatible, Ellie and Craig are not opposites and people who are the same attract, and can be there for each other through thick and thin and no matter what. Crash doesn't work because if Ashley would run away once then who's to say she won't chicken out and run away again?
