Well, if a parent sends their girl to an All-Girl's School, it's probably because they specifically don't want her to have to deal with boys (though of course, it could be just because the education there is really good or something-- though it seems that's not the case with Mahora Junior High). So if someone randomly declared that a boy had to share your girl's ROOM now, I should think the parent would feel really gypped-- not to mention ** off and morally affronted. Co-ed living quarters in junior high school = ALL SORTS OF DO NOT WANT.

It's different if you were told stories your whole life and you have this rebellious attitude compared to being an over all wimp with this mind-scarring spider documentary playing in ur mind over and over again where they show the mating spiders in full detail.

I don't really get it buuut, most spiders, to my knowledge, only start eating each other after mating is over, once the female starts needing more nutrients. Praying mantises, on the other hand, are apparently so wimpy that they can't get through mating without running out of energy, and so to prevent that the female eats the male headfirst while the rest of his body completes the necessary movements.

Anyway, another thing I've noticed when I go through Negi AU versions. We have the older(the most common). The better trained(which should be more common in my opinion). The younger(Something I'm interested in theory but just can't seem to work unless ur high, have no sense of realism or just plain want to break barriers of social decorum). What I was looking for was a more laid-back Negi. Sure Ken-chan makes Negi childlike at times but he seems to use it as an excuse only *coughslashplotdevicecough*. I've never got to see Negi acting like a kid who's interested in comics, or sports or ANYTHING! One could say his hobby is to train considering his daily if not secondly regiment with Eva and Rakan and stuff. BUT! He never seemed to train before he met up with his masters. I'm sure this is just a random rave but it's really been bugging me. At first it started as a baseless insight(may still be) but it grew into something really really big that steamrolled into my system.

It's true that Negi doesn't have a lot of hobbies, since he's been a lonerish bookworm since age four. But he is shown in the manga, especially towards the beginning, as loving to collect magical artifacts and potions and things. I like the idea of him bringing home lots of "magical items" and leaving them around the house for Asuna to throw away. Then he cries when he finds they're gone. :)

If you're interested, I've been playing with the idea of a more 'childish' Negi lately, both in Canon and my next OC-related work.

Umm, actually Abodo Negi is shown to be fairly obsessed with training before he goes to Mahora, he just doesnt get as impressive results before he gains teachers.

In one flashback Anya even complains that he is too obsessed with learning new attack spells, (at that time he knows an impressive total of seven :P)

A random thought suddenly struck my mind. What if Negi found a girl he loved with all his heart before going to Mahora? How would it affect his relationship with the girls? Would he be more serious with how they treat him? Would he shy away from the advances? Would he have broken Nodoka's heart? Mught not be the right place but hey it was a random thought.

It's a good question. I think that the main difference would be that... well, he would actually know about romance and relationships, rather than being totally oblivious and "omg everyone is hugging me they must want to be my friend :'D" or "omg someone kissed me I hope I didn't get pregnant" or... whatever other strange notions he holds. I don't think he'd suddenly be all smart and suave and knowing-how-to-deal-with-melodramatic-young-girls... he'd probably freak out and bawww and go "I'm a bad teacher!" just as much as he always does... he'd just freak out and bawww and go "I'm a bad teacher!" as well as "B-B-BUT I ALREADY HAVE A WIFE D:"

Then how would the girls react to the fact? I'm pretty sure all hell would break loose when the class meets Negi's hypothetical love.

Well, given their feelings when meeting Anya and Nekane, I think they'd be mostly really gushy and excited over the "awww, young love!" They'd probably dote on her something like they do with Negi.

It might cause some angst behind the scenes (Nodoka, for instance, would get a whole truckload of guilt issues to go with it), but I think most of the girls would be totally in love with the notion.

Finally got off(or on, pending on context) my ** to make a new fic. Thing is I need the spell activation keys for Yue and Nodoka. May someone redirect me to the closest reference section for this?

I don't think Nodoka's has been shown yet, (unless you count Dark Nodoka's 'Love Love I'll Get you Negi Sensei!') but I think Yue's can be found in the chapter where she and Emily Sevensheep fight the Griffon Dragon.

uh, has anyone ever tried making up a spell key for Nodoka or are we all waiting for Kenny-sama to unveil it to us? XD

Yue's spell activation key is "Foa Zoa Cratia Socratia". Nodoka's has not yet been revealed, though she has been shown to use some magic.
