A place where we can say all our theories for any game coming out soon (such as Birth By Sleep or games like that). Who knows...we may actually get SOMEWHAT close to what actually happens in the game (if you think about it, we were REALLY close with Xion for 358/2 days).

OK the weird crazy theory that I've had regarding Ventus...(358/2 Days spoilers ahead. Even though I'm only on day 301. orz)

So we all know that he resembles Roxas, he sounds like Roxas...WHAT IF HE IS ROXAS? (I know, crazy talk...)

Before you label me as prematurely senile, let me bring up my *nonexistent* evidence...

1. In 358/2 Days, Xemnas said something while Roxas was in the coma about how "he's still sleeping" or something like that. Now, we still have yet to confirm whether the two Xehanorts that we know (BBS and KH2) are one and the same, but if they are, then we can work through the fact that Ven knows Xehanort, Xemnas remembers Ven, and recognizes Roxas as Ven.

2. You have to admit, for a Nobody, Roxas has got a lot of emotions going on. Tears shed during points (I haven't gotten to the point in the game yet, but something about Xion - and remember the FM+ cutscene at the clock tower? You could see something falling - I'd think it was either a teardrop or melting ice cream, and I doubt it's the latter), rage at Saïx is seen quite often, worry for his friends, etc. BBS will probably explain whether Roxas really had a heart or not...possibly. (I've been reading Nomura interviews again -.-)

3. There's no way on *our* Earth that two people look exactly like each other within 10 years, with the same voice, same freaking hairstyle, etc. without being twins or something similar. I think.

4. There was something else that was supposed to go here but I completely forgot. Oh yeah. They have a tendency to collapse; I just noticed that XD

5. And they both have a Keyblade; I think that's something that should be mentioned. When people asked about whether absorbing Xion gave Roxas his second Keyblade, Nomura stated that there are certain prerequisites not mentioned yet (that will be revealed in BBS), but you need a heart. You need a heart. I know the given here is that Roxas has it because Sora has it, but what if that's not the case? And I'm pretty sure Ven's not a Nobody. Since...you know...Heartless haven't been created yet and stuff.

...I have yet to think of a -plausible- theory about how that's even POSSIBLE. Right now I'm working with "they saw Sora when he was a kid, so they implanted Ven into him. At some point. Go ahead and shoot me now because that's stupid."

I dunno, I just thought the whole Ven-looks-like-Roxas thing was being over-thought about. Maybe the truth was hidden in plain sight or something?

It should be noted that just because I came up with the crackpot theory, doesn't mean I believe in it. Absolutely not. XD

You know Akira, you bring up some good points and those points got me thinking (and all of you know how dangerous that can be at times).

What if in fact Sora actually had three hearts in him at the time of Hollow Bastion? You bring up good points about the Keyblade and the appearance, and if you DO work off the current theory that Xemnas knew Ventus from before, then this could work. You see, when Sora stabbed himself with Riku's Keyblade (I really wish they had given us a name for that Keyblade...) perhaps in addition to Kairi's heart getting release, so did Ventus'. Now where things start to go downhill slightly because there is one glaring flaw in my little theory here. Ventus' body was kind of frozen and shattered and stuff so yeah...BUT IGNORING THAT FOR NOW. Perhaps his old heart simply "remembered" if you will (as we all remember in CoM they were talking about true memories in the heart) what his old body looked like and thus Roxas was created from that complete with a heart. Since Roxas possessed no memories and Xemnas knew that Ventus' could use a Keyblade, it would have been no problem getting Roxas to believe that he was a Nobody. Now, as I said, there as some flaws with this theory just like all other theories.

1) As I've already mentioned, Ventus' body was frozen and shoved down a cliff. This would have to imply that Ventus' had no heart when he fought Master Xehanort and Vantias.

2) If Roxas really did have a heart, why would he re-merge with Sora? He wouldn't need to because he already had his own heart to begin with...and I just thought of a way to counter that. Perhaps instead of merely holding a second heart (like he did with Kairi's) what if Ventus' heart was actually PART of Sora's heart.

So...yeah, there we go, my own crazy little theory for Ventus, Roxas and Sora.

More reasons for why I don't believe my own theory XD I'm glad you brought up the whole freezing-thing, I completely forgot about that. And now that I think about it, 3 hearts in one body really is pushing it. (But Nomura DID say that there would be a lot of refs to KH1 in particular.)

...But if Ventus was dead (as I thought he'd be), then why the eff did Xemnas say he was STILL sleeping? (or still SLEEPING.)

Aaaaand my heaaart will go ooooon...*shot for referencing a movie I never watched* Geez, maybe that's what Xemnas was thinking when he started this madness with memories and *SPOILER* replicas. Too many late nights watching movies. (Oh my gosh that is so going into my collection of Organization short stories.)

Here's my ten bucks on this.

Maybe Ven IS related to Sora (possibly a brother or a cousin) and he forgot about him. Remember that part when he's on the beach telling someone to erase him? This is probably what happened because back in Com and KHII. they stated that those who remembered Sora whould forget him while he was asleep because HE forgot about them. The memory is still inside Sora and Roxas is a reflection of that, just like Xion was.

That or Ven is an unbirth/reversed that's being introduced in the game.
