There's also two things worth mentioning.

That samurai dude (TAV's master) is named Erauqs (SQUARE spelled backwards) and his appearance is based on the creator of Final Fantasy.

Xehanort's student is named Vanitas which means emptiness or vanity in Latin, according to wikipedia. I honestly think that he's the Xehanort that was found on Ansem's doorstep depending on the timeline of his stay with him.

We'll just have to wait and see.

And on with details for FFXIII if you guys didn't know.

Another character's name has been revealed. In the IGN trailer I've posted recently, they had a dark haired girl with an aussie accent that seemed to be working for the bad guys. Her name is Oerba Yun Fang (hmm. do you we anybody by that name?) and her summon is behemut.

Well, you also have to wonder about Vanitas for another reason. If you note, the voice actor for Vanitas is the same voice actor that does Sora (as mentioned in annotation in the video). So if that's the case, as mentioned in the annotation, would he have some connection to Sora? And if he IS the Xehanort we know, would that mean that Ansem and Xemnas would ALSO have some connection to Sora? Honestly, I see BBS starting more questions, that may for may not be answered in KH3, we'll just have to wait til next year when we FINALLY get to play it.

Square spelled backwards... I suppose, considering that Yen Sid is Disney spelled backwards, Squareenix deserved their own backward named guy.

I suppose Vanitus being the Xehanort that Ansem found would work, but he seems too short in my opinion. He doesn't look much taller then Ven.

As far as the Vanitas thing goes--

I love KH because of the connections running rampant everywhere, but I really hope that's not what they were planning. We already used that joke in some other old, crusty movie. :P (...I'm kidding, btw. About the movie thing.)

Personally, I think that the VA sounds more like Riku then Sora. Besides, if you watch, Vanitas has the same battle stance as Riku. I know it might not be that critical, but considering that everyone holds their Keyblades differently... (Except Sora, Roxas, and Xion, but they don't really count) However, I really don't get how Vanitas can be like Riku, considering Riku is five at this time...

Really? I did not know that. Maybe Vanitas does have a connection to Sora like Ven for obivous reasons. As long as they don't pull a Darth Vader where he comes and says 'Luke I am your father', then I won't feel ripped off from the expeirance when I go spoil myself on youtube. I will watching it subbed and dubbed when it comes out. Here's some whacky theories I've heard:

Terra is Xehanort.

Aqua dies because her armor is in that scene in KH FM

Ven is Sora's father (HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?)

Ven is Sora's brother (I admit that this one seems plausible)

Who do you think they'll get for their VA's? Anybody who's contracted Disney or ones in the anime buisness since they are always in video games, too.

...I have this crazy theory running through my head. Maybe Riku got his stance from Vanitas from some random happenstance? (that is totally a word) Dunno when that would have happened, but...well, 10 years is a long time.

Or they're running out of ideas for battle poses. Unless someone were to wield their Keyblade backwards...which totally reminds me of that one Keyblade where you hold the outside part instead of an actual handle...which I came up with WAY before I'd ever heard of BBS...-__-u

You know, getting his stance from Vanitas can make some sense if you think about it. Let me explain my crazy way of working through how it could make sense. Firstly, it's clear that Vanitus has control over the darkness, as does Riku. Riku's dark suit from KH1 and COM looks like a slightly toned down version of Vanitas' suit. So, perhaps Vanitus infused a bit of his own power in Riku, thus explaining the similarity in fighting stances, Riku's control over the darkness, AND why their suits are somewhat similar.

Square Enix sent me a lovely email with the release date. Too bad the news is worthless to me as I'm still not encouraged to go out and buy a PS3 right away. XD

I have made a Golden Sun fourm years back which I thought had died. It turns out I was wrong. There is this HUGE debate right now over someone who has accidently offended another person over a very sensitive topic and now it's escalating to a point where I want to delete the topic becuase I really don't want to deal with it. Since I am the mod, I get the abuse reports and have been asked to intervene. Since I haven't been on the fourm for a while, I want to delete it since there's no point in having it anymore.

It's kind of different to settle an argument over the internet with people you don't know since everyone has different views and with the fact that I HAVE A LIFE that's outside of the computer.

If you want to look at the argument. Search for the fourm called 'Golden Sun Favorites' and view the 'Favorite couples' topic. Read the last two pages (the ones that were dated today and yesterday)

You do realize that you have other options available as a mod, right? You could simply delete all the posts in question, explain why you did so and if this problem arises again then ban all parties involved.

I don't think you should drop the ban-hammer just yet, though. One always needs to take in account who's in the right and the wrong...

Or ban whichever idiot is trying to continue the fight which could have ended long ago. As far as I can see, one side has apologized and moved on, while the other is screaming for more...

Which is exactly my point and why I said to delete the posts then see if the problem re-arises. I wouldn't drop the ban-hammer at this point either, only if the argument kicks up again, and you could tell who would want to continue the fight by who would try to bring it up again AFTER everything else is deleted.

I went back to Khinsider and there's some new news. Ven's english VA has been confirmed. I think it's obviously who it is.

I can't really have an opinion on him since I've only see him play as Roxas and heard only ONE song of his. At least he tries.

Just heard some good news today. Final Fantasy VII's Zack Fair is in Birth By Sleep. He's a bit younger than traditionally portrayed, so I'm interested in seeing how they're going to articulate his role.

...as much as I kind of like to hear that, I just have to ask...if you're going to milk this much out of FF 7, why don't you go to some of the other really GOOD games like...you know...FF 4 or 5 or 9...there ARE other games besides 7...and yes I know about Vivi but he had such a small roll...WHY???? I mean, lets do a count,

Jeebus I want to see my Bartz and Firion in KH. (But then again, a - they don't really fit with the new ZIPPERS AND BELTS EVERYWHERE designs, and b - KH would start to oddly look a lot like Dissidia if there were a lot of FF characters with no obvious relevance...OH WAIT A MINUTE--)

(I'm wondering if we'll EVER see an armor-clad FF character in KH. Armor-clad, modernized, I really don't care anymore. Just...stop adding FF7 characters over and over again, Square...STOP IT NOW.)

These characters are selected based off popularity. Zack's become a very popular character since his major role in Crisis Core, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect him to show up sooner or later in a KH game. The thing is, not many of the KH target audience is familiar with the older FF games, and you also have the Nomura factor in the sense that the director of the game is more comfortable using characters he's designed in the past.

I'll admit that there are instances where the "milking FF7" is applicable, but I don't think that's relevant in the KH titles. I find it's appropriate to have Zack in the coliseum for two reasons: the first is the Olympic Coliseum was the world where Cloud originally debuted in the KH series, therefore you have the Cloud/Zack parallel to work with. The second reason is because the coliseum is linked with the Underworld, a place where Hades can resurrect the dead much like he did Auron from FFX. Granted, it doesn't look to me like Zack is dead in BBS, but considering his fate in FF7, I'd say the location works out just fine for him.
