Hmm I'm not sure if they exactly 'click.'

Never beat FF 7 just played a little.

Seen FF Advent Children and didn't understand what all the fuss was about (besides Sephiroth's sexy voice XD).

Haven't beat FF VII: Dirge of Cerberus yet but will eventually.

I know some things about Vincent and Yuffie due to research but not every little detail about their background.

The Yuffentine couple isn't a bad pairing to me with the idea of the kunoichi being legal and since she happens to be of age in AC and DOC :) I don't see why not.

I don't support this pairing yet =P but DOC does have me interested.

The Shelke x Vincent pairing totally creeps me out even if she is of age and I personally don't like or care for the 19 year old doll stuck in a 10 year body. Some accuse me of 'hating' Shelke simply because I'm a Vincent x Yuffie fan (which isn't true) but my main reason is because characters with andriod-like personalities annoy me; that's all. It has nothing to do with supporting a couple that I haven't even agreed to yet lol

Yuffentine = <3 Love

IT'S SO CUTE!!! :3 I can't HELP but love it. Vincent is BY FAR my favourite character in the ENTIRE Final Fantasy series, and...Yuffie owns! So kickass! Gotta love Yuffentine! ^.^

I love yuffentines simply because they interact nicely and there are so many possibilities for it. I can't imagine Vincent with anyone else. It's kind of sad, though, how many people bash yuffentine just because they don't like Yuffie or love Vincent/Tifa (which is a disgusting pairing, IMO). :/

Yeah, I don't really see where Vincent/Tifa comes from. At all.

The 'crack' pairings - like Vincent Tifa - just come from people's heads. It strongly resembles the Naruto fandom in that sense (Itachi and Sakura have never met, but I love them anyway. She's too good, he's a bit too evil. Heeey, we could have them cosplay as Yuffie and Vince!) JAY KAY JAY KAY just kidding. Forget I said that. xD

Personally, I would have to say that one of the reasons Yuffie and Vincent are a good couple is that they can take so many different directions. And I'm not really just talking about their characters - in fanfiction, too. That's where this is all happening, loves. =) The real question is, after we've all more or less clarified why their characters go well together, HOW to make them go well together. Almost any pairing can be done if the story flows and makes it click, and if Yuffie and Vincent already begin to click, it's really just how people portray them and want to portray them.

(Did that make sense?)

The reason it's so well loved, I think, is because it can literally go ANY DIRECTION. Yuffentine has been in comedies, romance, drama, parody, angst. Supernatural, spiritual, horror. You name it, it's probably there. That's what's nice about it. If you're starting from the base of their relationship - which is, technically, the actual events of FF7 - it can go any direction the author wants it to, and still be a good story (The Materia Hunter is hilarious but believable, for example).

Now, the reason I'm pointing this out is because many can say, "Well, you can do that with any pairing!" And don't get me wrong. You can. But when you're starting from the foundation, the very beginning where the gamer (or reader, or author - anyone) comes in (excluding all those 'before the game' games), Yuffentine can go anywhere. We can compare this to... say, Cloti. If an author narrates Cloti from the events during FF7, there will, indefinitely, have to be drama and angst (we're not even going to go to Clerith. Nuh uh. That's self explanatory.), because they already HAVE a relationship before it starts, and they have things they have to get done and clear up (and that's for all of those types of relationships and pairings, not to single out Cloti which is lovely. Already-married fics where they already cleared everything up before the fiction starts aren't half as exciting as the trials of starting a relationship, yes?).

Not so much for Yuffentine - which is a good thing!

Anyway, I'm just trying to say that it's a good pairing, not only because the characters click, but they can go virtually anywhere, in any genre, and still work out.

Does this make sense? Just tell me it's a bunch of baboonese nonsense and I will gladly blame the half dozen allergy pills that have been recently shoved down my throat. ^^U

Personly..... I LOVE THIS PAIRING!!!! I think that Yuffie is a perfect match for Vincent. He's plain and moppy, and Yuffie is everything he used to be, happy, hyper and carefree. She adds light to his life and I know she'd possible annoy till the cows come home, but as they say those who love each other the most are the ones who fight a lot. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PAIRING!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my whole view on Yuffentine:

First:

It worked in I Robot, didn't it? Okay, so bad example if you haven't seen the movie, but still. Yuffie and Vincent really remind me of the two. Vincent's like that stiff supposedly-emotionless always-using-big-words-Spooner-doesn't-understand whatsername doctor woman. Whatever her name was. Haven't seen the movie in a while. Then Yuffie is like Spooner, relaxed, not afraid to make a joke. In the beginning the doctor woman whatshername seems really irritated by him. But, if I remember correctly, they end up together in the end. It just takes the right situations.

Second:

I know a lot of people say Yuffie's too immature for Vincent, but she can have a serious side to her if she tries. A lot of Yuffentine fics make her all happy-go-lucky and sugar high, and that's fine. I do that myself a lot, just because it's fun, haha. But Yuffie's not just a sugar high teenager. She's a real(well, fictionally real, haha) person, who gets sad, happy, serious, or fun, just like anyone else. I really think Yuffie would act more serious if it involved love. Sure she might be all happy and fun if it was just someone she had a crush on, but if she really loved Vincent she'd be serious about it, wouldn't she?

Third:

They can help each other. I know Vincent isn't going to be cured of his depression overnight, but Yuffie could at least help to show him a little more about life and love, if she tried hard enough. And Vincent could help show her the more serious side of life, and get her to grow up a little bit. Just being around each other could do that, in my opinion.

Conclusion:

Yuffentine isn't as fantastical as it sounds. You just have to get used to it to realize it's not really that bad. I really think Yuffie and Vincent could work together.

I forgot to say that...I LOVE YUFFENTINES! Some people may hate the idea of them together, but let's face it, Vincent needs a reason to smile and besides, who the Hell else would he get together with? And don't say Tifa cause its obvious that she's gonna be with Cloud and don't say that Cloud's with Aeris cause she's dead, so deal with it. Also, for those who think she's too young, I understand where you're coming from and I'm not telling anybody to change what they think, but I think that it's better for her to be with Vincent, who is already done with those retarded teenage boy hormones, than with a guy who's thinking the entire time sex....sex.....me want sex.[/i](No offense to the male population; I'm not a sexist.) So anyways, that's my opinion, so there I'm finished ranting.

I like Vincent and Yuffie (Yuffentine, you guys call it?) But there is the age factor that kinda creeps me out... I was working on two fanficts involving them... But the age thing kinda creeped me out... (Shelke and Vincent... That's even worse...)

But you know... Opposite attracts... I mean Vincent is what you call it... Silent and is like a loner... Yuffie is like OMFG one of the most hyperactive game character that I have ever seen... mix them together and you get one hell of a couple...

(reminds me of SquallXRinoa from FF8 except Rinoa is not hyper... And Squall not being an experiment... and not being dark... and...)

Nagia's reason totally makes sense, but the age... the more i think about it, its disturbing... (I thought he was on his 20's... but his body is 20's and his real age is like what...60's?) But overall, i'm half-hearted... If don't think about the age and read Yuffentine, it feels like they belong to each other even though they don't fit together... It's like... There are no Shalua fanfict because people didn't really like her? (i don't know, but she somewhat deserves at least one fanfict... That's it! I'm writing one for Shalua Rui!!!)
