3. Everything is wrong with Edward! Except looks, which I will give him credit for and the fact that he cares about Bella. Constent mood swings, jumps to conclusions, hard-headed, thinks he is always right and so on...

Jacob has imperfections too, but that's what makes him...well HIM! Jake is impatiant and hard-headed at times, but he would NEVER hurt Bella! He thinks ahead to the future and thinks of every consequence that might happen. Edward on the other hand, thinks that the best out come will be the one that happens. Want another example? Half of Eclipse, Edward was all "yeah, sure go hang out with whoever you want with as long as you don't realize you are in love with Jacob" The other half, "No, you are under my super vision 24/7 and nobody touches you!"

You have to admitt, he ALREADY knew Bella was in love with Jacob, but he wouldn't tell her. He didn't seem very surprised when Bella realized she was in love with another boy. He is just a scared little boy at heart.

I think Edward has more imperfections than Jacob. The fact that he is perfect is an imperfection!

You still think Jacob has books worth of imperfections? List them ALL! You can easily come up with 15 or so, right?

Besides, if you want to debate, at least get some back up on your side. All I read are insults and NO PROOF!

Wow, such harsh and opinionated people around here. I've read all sorts of arguments about why Jacob is inferior to Edward and some incredibly stupid comments about Jacob's humanity, race, threat to Bella, etc. I was a diehard Edward/Bella fan until I saw a post however on livejournal about some idiot on ff.net listing off reasons why Edward is better..and I felt myself losing precious IQ points the more I read. There's such a difference between the characters, there's just absolutely no room for comparison. Bella will end up with Edward in the books, because Meyer herself seems to be in love with him, that's just canon, but in the fanon we're entitled to believe she chooses a less bleak and more fulfilling existence.

He's different in Eclipse for a reason: it's called characterization. You know, the evolving and developing of a background character, so there's someone perhaps more interesting to read about? The whole series being fake is irrelevant; if you didn't have some sort of passion or connection to the books you wouldn't "waste" time posting here.

I totally agree with you, I mean, I've read those too, stupid comments and reasons why one character is better than the other. Sincerely, I think it's a little bit weird to argue over that, we all have different points of view and some of us like Jacob better than Edward or vice versa. I personally like them both, It's hard for me to choose over them, they're so different. Jacob is so...my type but Edward is so perfect(that bugs me a little) But well... yeah, that's my opinion. I'm neutral.

Well, I don't necessarily think it's stupid to argue or debate over which character is better because although yes, we all have different opinions, there is always something new to learn. A lot of Jacob fans were actually Jacob haters before they read what other people had to say about Jacob. I was neutral about Jacob, but once I started thinking about the books more and reading about what other people said, I decided I liked him better. I don't think it's anyone's power to change the thoughts of other people, but everyone does have the right to give their opinion.

The thing is, this thread is so obviously dedicated to Bella and Jacob (the title IS "Bella and Jacob Fanfic :)"), so I find it extremely rude for Jacob haters to post (poorly backed up) comments about how amazing Edward is and how ugly Jacob is. There are plenty of Edward vs. Jacob threads or Jacob haters unite threads. We all have passion, but shouldn't that passion be channeled into the right place?

Come read it! :) It's not a dreadfully long read and I do try to keep it entertaining and upbeat. It's currently paused on a cliffhanger till I get more reviews because I rely on them to write the next chapters.

I totally agree, BlueandBlack's Then Direct You Into My Arms is the best Jacob/Bella Fanfic I have read. I decided that's how the Twilight saga ends for me.

Hey, I've just become a Jacob fan! However, idk if Bella and Jacob are right for each other. So I want to write a during-new-moon fanfic that gives Jacob his chance with Bella, but months later he imprints on Leah (cause I'm finding myself a huge fan of Jacob/Leah), and then Edward comes back. After which I, as the author, tweak him a little bit so that he's not as 'bad' for Bella as he was before.
