Well, I wanted to discuss some stuff, but I don't want to send anyone running away from the board in tears because they discovered the ending to the game.

I was disappointed that they showed the reincarnated Alicia as a little girl instead of a more reasonable age. I mean... it just screamed STALKER when Rufus ran into her.

Lenneth and Lucian, and even Lenneth and Lezard get these *kissing* scenes! Why not RuxAli? I'm just a sucker for teh luvz, but I love that part when Alicia and Rufus hugged after she materialized him. 'Course, my inner Alicia was going NOW GIVE HIM SMOOTCHIES <3

They really had such a short time in which they both knew that they loved each other, that was sad.

Yeah. It seemed they twisted the ending in making Rufus appear as a pedophile.

I really would have enjoyed that this couple had some more romantic scenes even though I didn't dislike the story at all. And I agree with you: it was nice to see that Alicia reincarnated but it would be even nicer to have seen her in an older age and that Rufus could get to talk to her... of course not to remember those days she probably hasn't any memory of. Just for him to make sure she's doing fine. It's really a shame there wasn't any kiss at all ^_^

Oh, come on. They didn't make him look like a phedophile. It's showing him as a God (much like Odin did in the real lore) walking on Midgard, and he happened to bump into her new form. He saw her face and smiled when she ran off. Obviously he wasn't going to stalk her, he was just glad to see her soul reincarnated.

It was artistic in the way they portrayed that last scene, and wasn't meant to make him a child stalker. He loved Alicia, so would he not be proud to see her alive and well, growing in a peaceful environment? It was a very sweet scene.

100-series

Yes, I love how the scene had no sound or words other than the wind. I kind of like how their relationship remains vague through the story, less like cheesy romance even though I felt more strongly about them than most other romantic interests. If they knew hoe each other felt, there would be no tension. For Rufus it is sad, but that is what was sacrificed to give humanity a bright future. The last scene is in Coriander, which is leafy and green instead of all decrepid and poor like it is in the future of Lenneth's world. And maybe there's still a glimmer of hope for poor old Rufus, I'd like to see his fate addressed in future installments of the series. Kind of interesting how Alicia sacrificed her life, but Rufus may sacrifice more in the end, being stuck in that position.

I think these girls are just kidding though. I kinda chuckle sometimes at stuff like that even though it obviously isn't intended.

I agree, it was a very sad ending. If I could remake the ending, it would be like this:

After stabbing Valkyrie, Lezard inmediately fades. Valkyries shines with a white light, then Alicia returns, with a huge and bloody wound on her stomach, where Lezard stabbed. Rufus rans to her, tears falling, praying she'll survive. Maybe some love words there. That's not dramatic, just fit the situation. Anyway, some reminiscence of the power of the gods Lezard acquired is left after he disappears, and it crystalizes in a blue crystal, like the one is on the top of Yggdrasil. As Rufus understand what's going on, he leaves Alicia on the floor, gets air and touches the crystal, becoming a God. With his new and strong power, is able to seal Alicia's wound. Then they kiss, Arngrim and Brahms looking the lovely scene. Brahms asks what they're gonna do from now on, Alicia's still a mortal and cannot be in Asgard. Rufus actually thought about this, then shares his divinity with Alicia, making her becoming a goddess... the goddess of his Life.

So that's how the story ends: Valkyries back to life, Rufus and Alicia as king and queen of Asgard, Arngrim will be the captain of all the einherjars, and Brahms marries Silmy and stays in Asgard too :3
