Frankly, those questions bother me a lot.

Kanda's not effected by Akuma bullets of the tattoo on his chest. It gives him strange healing powers, in exchange for a small peice of his lifeline. The lotus flower is like his actual lifeline, like the Rose in Beauty and the Beast. It has 13 peatels, and has currently lost 3. As for the person he's looking for, that question hasn't been answered yet. I'm assuming that it's 1, Someone close to him, or 2, the one who placed the curse on him. Probably 2, though.

I know about the tatoo and all that, i was just wondering why, why is that curse so powerful, and who might have placed it on him, and with what reason. (i do pay attention, i love D. gray man)

Yeah, it bothers me too. The fact that Kanda's past has yet to be revealed. It seems that throughout the entire course of the manga, Allen's, Lenalee's and Lavi's past has been tactfully portrayed. But not Kanda's. =( Some sort of mysterious fellow.

Maybe he threatened the mangaka not to tell? ^^ Just kidding.

Hopefully, it's just preparation for when the whole story comes out... Or it could just be that Hoshino-sensei hasn't thought of it yet...He wouldn't forget about Kanni-kun, would he?!?!?!

The only good thing that comes out of not knowing, is that there's either going to be a huge climax that enlightens us, and that the series is not nearly at its end...

Lol I cosplayed as Kanda in Fanime 2008 and his Hair go SO ANNOYING!! (I wasn't wearing it in a ponytail.) It kept falling on my face and I constantly had to move it back. I'm a huge fan of short hair and whenever I make a char on World of Warcraft, theres a high probability of them having short hair.

okies. kanda is my fav. character, so listen up. he is looking for the man who not just trained him, but put a curse on him. ( hence, when in vol.1 he told allen he didn't shake hands with people who are cursed. he felt bad for him.) the tatoo he has makes him not able to die, and the flower is a lotus flower. it origionally had 13 petals, but 3 already fell off. when the flower wilts, he will die. that is why he has to find that person. the tatoo also makes him stronger and more capable of not being able to be poisened by the akuma. sorry if i don't make sense, english isn't my first language. XD

I find it really odd that I can't imagine Kanda with any other hairstyle than the one he has... I mean, it's completely different from what usual guys have, but still it fits him perfectly you know?? :3 And I agree; it's fully awesome with his mushroom-bangs hairstyle ;D Even when it's let out it looks sexy on him.

I kinda feel the same way about Tyki, I just can't imagine him in any other hairstyle than the one he had before he grew it long; the one he had when he was playing poker against Allen in the 40 something chapter.
