So here is the place to confess what things Prince of Tennis made you do!

Exemple: Damn PoT OVA on YouTube stopped for a while getting subbed... so I took up Japanese!

And, I must add that I also started learning tennis... Just because of Tennis no Ouhjisama (tennis never appealed to me before...)

Youtube is blocked off after 8 P.M. everyday (except Saturday) on my computer, so I went looking through hundreds of sites to look for one where I could watch PoT for free online.

I started being obsessed with yaoi pairings. It never appealed to me before. Now I can't stand it if any fanfiction I read doesn't have Boy's LOve in it.

Because of being obsessed with yaoi, I started reading Loveless. xD

Only read the first manga so far though.

I went through thousands of sites for PoT stuff.

I gave into temptation into making an acount after reading PoT fanfics.

Oh yeah, because I was obsessed with PoT, I watched the Live Action movie and some of the musicals.

I became obsessed with some of the boys.

And I watched Aiba-chan and Saitou's Sukimoto, even if I didn't understand what they were saying.

And PoT also made me get into BL as well as drag Ketchup into BL

I'm terrible at tennis. I can barely hit the ball half the time. I doubt I'll get better. I mean, I trip over thin air. No coordination, whatsoever. Worse than Anime!Sakuno.

When I made the tennis team at school, I could barely play, but after having practice practically everyday after school and games, I became a better player. What PoT did to me?

Err, apart from getting me to endlessly spazz over Shirotan and Kanata and Kazuki and teh rest of teh live crew, well, PoT provided me a way of raising the bar for my writing standards. Naruto served as the first rung of the ladder; PoT as the second, and possibly even third (since I'm nowhere near stopping right now). It's pretty addicting, even if at first I was apprehensive (because I tended not to prefer sports anime and stuck to the fantasy/slice-of-life/mecha stuff -- DON'T COMPLAIN; ATHRUN AND KIRA ARE LOVE).

And yeah, PoT served as my anchor into the yaoi world. I was only partially submerged before PoT, but damn, who can resist Pillar Love and Thrill Love and Royal Love? Oh, and there's YukiRyo too, btw. >.>;; Jan 03rd 2008, 9:44am #23

Actually, the first boyxboy fic I read for PoT was Pillar Pair, not Thrill.

But I'm a Thrill Shipper. XD (Of course you all know that by now... XD)

I was actually avoiding this series before I picked it up. o0 I dunno why. I just thought that it was going to be boring and all. But that day at the bookstore, I was in a weird mood, and it just bothered me if I didn't at least read the first volume.

It's about a pair of genetically altered twins that were separated at birth. One of them went to America and became a biochemist and came back to Japan to investigate an illness that was spreading across the island and accidentally came across his twin brother.

And since the experiment on the twins was to see the extent DNA can extend potential, they were both born with increased strength, a high IQ, and supernatural powers.

Anyways, I like plots like that. It's sci-fi, but not the stereotypical type. I like the sort that take place in the modern world and that most people don't know about it. I think it's interesting. Still not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing. Once I started, it ate my brain. Haven't written anything original in a while.

Before PoT I had declared to never, ever, ever, write fan fiction.

Just proves that you really should never say never.

-I changed my pen name. (Previously bubblesrule1, and I don't even know why.)

-I revived my account. (Registered in fifth grade, stayed around for a week, died off, and then came back the summer between sixth and seventh grade.)

-I talked my friends ear off, all about PoT.

-I scarred my friends minds.

-I tried to convert them.

-I became broke.

-I decided that I wanted to take up tennis. But I kinda don't have any time (swimming, school, violin, fanfiction, HOL, etc.). So I just have fun playing pickle ball in gym and pretending I know what I'm doing.

And, of course...

I learned of the wonders of shounen-ai and yaoi. Beforehand, I never even knew it existed. I admit, when I first came back I was the one who encouraged the Suethors. I told them that the flamers were stupid, that the story was good, etc. (Funny how much we change, isn't it?) But after a few months of that, I slowly began to see the light. I began to realize that uh...the fics were really bad. And slowly I found my way into the section known as yaoi and shounen-ai. I had seen it around, but it never registered or if it did I thought it was gross.

I wouldn't have thought... xD I liked crappy fics too, when I first came by. Perhaps it takes some time for our brain to register the difference between good and bad...?

I also discovered Shounen Ai when I came around POT. Before, I was around Sailor Moon (because, yes, I love the anime to bits!) and I was a fan of -true love- (MamoUsa, can you get a truer love? xD)

But then, I saw that het was badly written. ^^' And that, even though I felt awkward reading shounen ai, the writing style was -still- better. I was like, "Gosh, I don't like to read BL. I guess I'll get used to it someday..."

What did to me?

- Made me write again.

- Made me watch anime again after a rather long 10 years pause.

- Made me want to learn japanese.

- Helped me to understand the rules of the game.

- Made me get close to my brothers who are playing tennis.

- Made me spend money on manga something would never have done before...

Ooh, PoT also made me want to read manga... more than I already did... Actually, I wasn't that into manga before, but after knowing that PoT had manga, I tried to search for internet sites that have it... And now, I love manga as much as I love anime... (There is a difference, I swear! XD)

Pot made me love tennis. And actually understand a bit.

And PoT made me love shounen ai. XDD

PoT made me see shonen-ai in a completely different light XD

It also made me jealous of my friends who got to learn tennis.

And helped me to see the beauty of crack. XD

I just realized that PoT made me appreciate a sports anime turned musical. XDDD And I liked it so much that it also helped in my corruption of loving Japanese actors and actresses (usually actors). :D

Ah, yes, PoT is a wonderful source of crack fics!!

What happened to me? Well, I discovered Japanese musicals, been introduced to a whole lot of other anime series (the others that I've seen before this wouldn't fill the tiniest Post-It), and I've revived my interest in shounen ai (brought to you for the first time by "Gravitation")

All in all, not bad.

I guess PoT does some good to me... I also tried learning tennis and it turned out bad- I got so lazy and stopped XD I got over my fear of feathers(XD) when I found out Gakuto collects feather ornaments. And, started watching romance movies because Oshitari likes them... Oh, and I also started watching tennis shows.

I actually listen to the sports news now, to the Tennis Open. Some Russian beat some American yesterday. "xD
