SwimAngelTopic: Characters & Sign Ups Due to the success of my previous RP on FF.net and the explosion of interest after it was nearly finished, I've decided to make another one.A Description of the Plot: It is about a decade after ROTJ. The Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic are thriving on the metropolis planet of Coruscant. However, the Sith have returned and continued their campaign against the Jedi. Meanwhile, a group of pirates have been causing the Jedi a good deal of trouble out in the Outer Rim and a group of Jedi have been dispatched to dispose of the pirates. A bill has been placed before the Senate that restricts certain types of trade, such as the selling of people (slavery) and endangered species, and restricts the gouging of prices and so forth. Something that makes being a pirate or a smuggler much harder and much less profitable. Due to possible manipulation from the Sith, or just an ambitious Hutt, the pirates and smugglers have all banded together to gain a sort of monopoly on trade, doing sort of what the Trade Federation was doing in The Phantom Menace. Of course, being pirates, they make their move by hurting, killing, plundering, and the like, and the Jedi are to stop them. When you create your character, simply write up a paragraph or so containing everything that you want us to know about your character. You must tell us their name, age, gender, species and whether they are on the light side, the dark side or if they're neutral, but you will probably want to include a physical description and a description of their personality. Anything else is up to you. Once I check your character to make sure that it follows the rules, he or she will be added to the List. I am aware that many of you posted your characters in the previous forum. Simply repost them here and I'll give them another read over to make sure they are still relevant to the plot. Tierva Faerlain is an twenty year old human Jedi Knight, and part of the group sent to eradicate the pirates. She is quite quiet and introspective and her skills lie in the Force, not with a lightsaber. Like her twin brother, Cammir Faerlain, she is dark haired and tall.Cammir Faerlain is the twenty year old human pirate captain, and twin brother of Tierva Faerlain. Unlike his sister, he is loud, proud and confident and his skills lie in combat of any kind. He had the chance to join the Jedi, but turned them down because of his lust for power and wealth. He still carries his lightsaber with him at all times. Senator Elizabeth OrganaI think that I'll put up my character now. Name: Elisabeth Organa Gender: Female Age: 17 Species: Human, force-sensitive Hair Color: Chestnut brown and auburn Eyes: Brilliant blue, but it can change to greenish or hazel. Home Planet: Alderaan, but later Chandrila. Occupation: Former assistant to Mon Mothma, now a Senator from Chandrila. Orientation: Light Side 17 Year old Elisabeth Organa represents her planet, Chandrila, as the speaker of Senate during Mon Mothma's service as the Chief of State. Mon Mothma is her mentor, she took Elizabeth under her wing when she was very young, and Elisabeth has looked up to her as a mother figure, along with her cousin, Leia Organa Solo, who is a very good friend. She has a very sharp wit, and one that comes in handy in the Senate. Elisabeth is likely to take her work too seriously and dedicate herself completely to a cause. She is exceptionally strong willed, determined, outspoken, stubborn, fiery, articulate, and cold at times. However, she posesses great leadership abilities and is dutiful, loyal, compassionate (though it doesn't seem like it), gracious and charitable. She only wants to do what is right for the people. It doesn't hurt to be pretty good with a blaster either, courtesy of her guards on Alderaan. Elisabeth also has flaws. For one, she is inexperienced socially. She has never had a boyfriend and has few true friends. She does not let people get close to her for fear that they'll just be taken away. Though this is true, she does want to find a man to love. Her mother, Bail Organa's sister, was off of the planet when Elizabeth was born; therefore, they both escaped the terrible fate of Alderaan. However, when Elizabeth was five, the Empire finished their job by assassinating her mother, who was serving as a Chandrilan senator. Elizabeth was then taken in by one of the other senators from Chandrila, and mentored by Mon Mothma. She has always had to work hard for what she wanted. Her stubbornness and cool exterior tends to drive people away. Because she is part of the House of Organa, she technically has a right to use the title of 'Princess' but does not embrace it. She has never used it. However, she does love her cousin dearly and has a great pride for her no-longer-existant planet. She believes strongly in democracy. Only recently has Elisabeth discovered her force-sensitive capabilites. Surprised, she embraced them, hearing about the legendary Jedi. She is training to be a Jedi, one of Luke Skywalker's older padawans. However, she is promising in her training and works extremely hard to achieve her goal to be a Jedi. [Long, I know, but I felt inspired.] And if this role play needs a Leia Organa, I'd be happy (and want) to play her character. Just let me know on that one. :) So... Elizabeth Organa (and maybe Leia Organa (?))-- I hope that the character is alright. | #2 Jul 05th 2007, 10:14pm . Edited Dec 08th 2007, 8:46pm

Anime-StarWars-fan-zachHere's my character:Name: Magus Ryoko Hair: Long Dark Black Age: 19 Specis(is that how you spell it?): Human Gender: Male Bio: He is a Sith Knight that works for the Empire. He hates the Jedi and the Republic, and wants the Empire to rule the galaxy like it did in the times of Emperor Palpatine. He blames the death of his 11 year old little sister, who was training to be a Jedi, on the Jedi and the Republic. She died in a lightsaber training accident. Though he believes it wasn't an accident, because she often rebelled against the Jedi Code and the Order, and she showed signs of leaving the Order. He uses a double bladed red lightsaber, has yellow colored eyes(caused by turning to the darkside), kills a Jedi anytime he can, and was one of Emperor's Hands (like Mara Jade was) at one time. He is currently on Courscant trying to discover the Jedi who his little sister was dueling when she died. Will any main characters(like Luke, Leia, ect.) appearing? |

Shadow B. PantherToleen or Tol is a 20 year old Mashi/Kasa Horansi from the planet Mutanda in the Outer Rim. He has yellow-gold slitted eyes and appears to be a black furred feline(Mashi Horansi). A silver sleeveless shirt and gray pants cover his athletic form, though often hidden by a dark gray cloak. Some describe him as a lazy unreliable person since he is often seen resting or talking with others, but he is very dedicated to his training and missions. He is intelligent, friendly, brave, loyal, a skilled tracker, and has incredible stealth skills. A pair of blue lightsabers are the weapons of this young Knight and his instincts combined with the Force makes him a great Jedi. He mainly uses both styles of Form V(Shien/Djem So) with some elements of other forms. Tol's parents were killed by the Horansi rulers because it was illegal for Horansi subspecies to interbreed, his mother was Mashi and his father was Kasa. Tol was saved by a Trianii friend of his parents that took him off the planet and raised on Trian with both Hiransi and Trianii heritage, though he likes Trianii more. He is fluent in both native languages, Basic, and Shyriiwook (Wookiee). Being the son of a warrior and a mystic gave him enough of a connection to the Force to be noticed by Jedi, so he was accepted into the new Order shortly after the fall of the empire. (I'll repost the link if anyone wants, but another thing to know is Mashi fur is very valuable to most races and he might have a bounty on him for that.) | #9 Jul 06th 2007, 11:11am

Anime-StarWars-fan-zachI just thought of something to added to my Bio of my character, if that's ok.Extra Bio information: Magus has a master named Selvo Kashi, a Dark Jedi Master/Sith Master, whom he is planning to kill soon. He is also on Courscant for another reason, to kill Mon Mothma. Magus has also mastered several fighting styles, like the Echani(is that how you spell it?). He has also made up several Force powers that he only he can use. When can we start the RPG, and everyone has my permission if they want to use Magus's master and my permission to kill him if I don't kill him first. | #10 Jul 06th 2007, 11:21am

rimeraOkay... This is different than my other character, but I wanted to be more a part of the story, if that's okay. My character is a Wookie. Her name is Logargh, and she's pretty young, not necessarily so by human standards, but since the Wookies are so long-lived, she's still pretty much a cub. She's six feet tall, and has some years to go before she reaches her full height. She's tannish-brown with some red highlights, and understands Basic but cannot speak it. She also understands the Ewok language. Her parents were killed by slavers, and she fled Kashyyk (sp?) and lived on Endor's moon for a few years before she was discovered by Rebels. After that, she was realized to be Force-sensitive and has been training as a Jedi for the last three years. Her interests include plants and, recently, politics!| #15 Jul 06th 2007, 4:46pm

rimeraUm... the e-mail I received said you needed my character's name, but your post here doesn't say that... anyway, her name is Logargh. Sith Master2019Xen, last name unknownAge: 20 Species: Human Hair Color: Black, shoulder length Eye Color: Naturally violet Affiliation: The Dark Side Description: Xen was a former Jedi Knight in the old order during the time of Anakin as the chosen one. She left the order however because of her jealously and hate for Anakin, she then became a freelance assassin/bounty hunter and worked for whoever paid her right. She is skilled in lightsaber combat and carries two red lightsabers that she obtained from her many travels, she has a little knowledge of the Force and is just a really bad mouthed punk kind of girl, like Mara Jade except... more... witty and evil. I was thinking she could be part of the pirate group if that's alright. I would also like to give her some action scequences because that's sort of what she does... fights... if that is okay. | #20 Jul 06th 2007, 8:12pm

Shadow B. PantherNot sure if I should mention this, but that might be impossible for Xen to be 20. She would have to be in her 50s considering Luke would be about 33 at the time of the RP takes place and Anakin was about 23 when Luke was born. Best suggestion is to say that she's in her 50s and looks 20 to keep things consistant.Other than that I wanted to suggest to rimera that Toleen and Logargh be close friends. Both characters are non-humans that been in the new order for a few years and I said Toleen is fluent in her language. Does she have a nickname like most wookiees? | #21 Jul 06th 2007, 8:43pm

Sith Master2019I suppose you are right. Serves me right for skimming over stuff to quickly, which is why a lot of my earlier fics have a lot of misspellings. Okay I'll go with that. I will state now that I screwed up. Xen shall be 57 (because 47 is my favorite number and 57 is 10 more than that so... hey) and she will look 20 or 30 because she doesn't age well and the Force keeps her looking good too I suppose. | #22 Jul 06th 2007, 8:51pm
rimeraSure! I was kinda hoping her character would get to know your character, anyways. Your character seems so interesting. Logargh is kinda naive, and nature-loving, and since your character's a Knight, maybe he could be sort of a mentor for her? As to the nickname, if Toleen will be her mentor, then I'll give you the honor of picking one. I think Lowie is taken by Lowbacca from the books, but call her whatever you want.| #23 Jul 06th 2007, 8:51pm

Senator Elizabeth OrganaCan I add a few more details for my character? She goes by the name of Senator Elizabeth Organa, Elizabeth Organa, or Lizzy Organa. Doesn't matter. She also loves studying languages and government. [We need a Luke Skywalker! :) Or at least I think so...] Thanks | #24 Jul 06th 2007, 9:01pm

Shadow B. PantherNo problem about that, I just have a habit of wanting things to make sense or stay consistant, but I know I missed a few things every now and then. That's why it's good to have others around to point out mistakes. As for Tol, he has been a Knight for a couple years because his heritage made him a fast learner with the Force and saber combat. I mentioned that he was raised by Trianii and in my opinion they are feline versions of wookiees (jungle home world, seldom wear clothes, and language-they speak with growls and purrs while understanding Basic, but can't speak it), so he can relate to her easily and translate what she says. I think he would be a mentor despite his young age and laid-back attitude (his heritage from both parents made him more mature then he lets most believe). He likes being in nature too because of his own instincts and it reminds him of growing up on Trian. As for nicknames the easiest ones I can think of are Lo, Log, Loggy, and Gar; I'm leaning toward 'Gar' or 'Lo'. One last thing, with you having a wookiee you can either say 'Logargh makes growling sounds' and say what it mean or type random letters and say that they mean something. Here is a translator that I found if you want to have what she would actually say and the meaning http://selarips.free.fr/wookieetranslator/ | #25 Jul 06th 2007, 10:12pm
rimeraI know what you mean about consistency. And I'll check out that translator, since I'm determined not to repetitively say "Logargh makes growling noises"... lol! Some writers write alien translations in italics or something /like this/, which would be better for a fast-paced RPG than writing it in third person, I figure. As for the age thing, the reason I didn't state Logargh's exact age was because I wanted people to treat her like what she really is... an idealistic, if somewhat shy, starry-eyed cub. If she were a human, you might say she's fourteen or so, but Wookies have a long life span, so in reality she's probably closer to twenty. But think of her as a kid... because that's what she is, really. A very large, furry kid with a lightsaber. By the way... her nickname is still in your hands, but... I think Lo sounds better than Gar. | #26 Jul 06th 2007, 10:28pm
Shadow B. PantherGood point about the age thing. The only reason I put Tol's age is because I wanted him to be a young adult while still being old enough to be a Knight. I don't really know what was the youngest age for Knighthood and Horansi lifespan was never stated, they could live as long as wookiees for all I know. Maybe for the rp I'll assume that and change it to him being 20 with his own species, but older in human years. For the language thing, at least you're trying instead of saying she can speak Basic when we know wookiees can't. I'll go with Lo for now, but maybe we should make Tol the Jedi that trains her as well. Just an idea to think about since at the time there wouldn't be many masters at the time, but we'll see after the actual rp starts. | #27 Jul 06th 2007, 11:39pm

rimeraOkay, Shadow, you're on. If SwimAngel doesn't have any objection to one Jedi training another (I know things may have worked differently at the Jedi Academy, I'm not sure), then I don't see why Lo can't be Tol's... uh... padawan, so to say, even though that title may not be used in this time period. If this is the case, though, does Logargh call Tol Master? SwimAngel, what parts of the old decorum do you want used in Luke Skywalker's time period? Since we know that he wasn't trained that way, and that the books about the beginning of the New Jedi Order were written before the prequels came out, it all really depends on the existence of records of the old Jedi Order, or the memories of those who belonged to it. This falls into your jurisdiction. Shadow, you know, we could take it a step furthur and say that Tol was one of the ones who found Logargh on Endor's moon, maybe give them some history. Up to you. | #31 Jul 07th 2007, 6:29am

Anime-StarWars-fan-zachWhat planet or place are we going to start the RPG?| #32 Jul 07th 2007, 7:27am

SwimAngelI think Tol training Logragh would be fine. I have to admit that I haven't read much of the EU myself and am unfamiliar with what happened. I think we'll just stick to the way the Jedi were trained in the prequels. And the Jedi will probably start on Coruscant, at the Jedi Temple. Pirates will be at Mos Eisley. | #33 Jul 07th 2007, 7:35am
Shadow B. PantherIf it helps any, the game 'Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy' took place at this point in time and some of that information might be used to help(I'll admit that I know only a little from the EU too). I said that Tol is older than Logargh in human years and probably a couple years by their species standards. I think I will have him be seen more as an upper classman helping a new student (kinda like a private tutor) instead of an actual teacher, so he will prefer to just be called Tol instead of Master Toleen. That part about him finding her is a good idea, his species(both mother and father's) are among the best trackers/hunters in Star Wars and locating her would be very possible if he was on the planet. So he found her several months before he was promoted, brought her to the temple for training and helped her when he could, became close friends, and shortly after he was made a Knight he became her official teacher/master. For the training part, since we are going to be in the old temple (probably still repairing some areas) instead of Yavin 4 we can say that not all of the old records were destroyed. Things like the forms of saber combat and records past Jedi survived. Of course there are some things that could be dropped like, maybe the attachment rule. Also there migth be force spirits like Obi-Wan or Yoda that gave Luke advice or information on what to teach. | #34 Jul 07th 2007, 10:04am

rimeraSounds good, Shadow. Can't wait to start playing.SwimAngel, quick question. This is about animosity between Jedi and pirates, right? With Princess Leia and Elisabeth Organa both being politicians, is it too much of a stretch to assume that the animosity may derive from/be affected by changes in trade laws? I mean, trade is what pirates are most concerned with, right? Maybe there's a bill being passed or debated in the Senate on the subject? What do you guys think? | #36 Jul 07th 2007, 2:37pm
Shadow B. PantherGood idea, but there is something that could be added to it. The pirates could also have smugglers with them as well, this could further their problem with the Senate. One other thing could be that some or most of them are what's left of Jabba's organization and a few bounty hunters he occasionally hired, who would really have a problem with Luke and Leia as well as anything they are involved with.| #37 Jul 07th 2007, 2:50pm

rimeraHow about this? A bill has been placed before the Senate that restricts certain types of trade, such as the selling of people (slavery) and endangered species, and restricts the gouging of prices and so forth. Something that makes being a pirate or a smuggler much harder and much less profitable. Due to possible manipulation from the Sith, or just an ambitious Hutt, the pirates and smugglers have all banded together to gain a sort of monopoly on trade, doing sort of what the Trade Federation was doing in The Phantom Menace. Of course, being pirates, they make their move by hurting, killing, plundering, and the like, and the Jedi (as per SwimAngel's first post) are to stop them. Senator Elizabeth OrganaThanks for the synopsis. It really helps. Can I add another character, maybe a pirate? Well, here I go. (Won't be as long. :D) Name: Cristopher Rimera (a.k.a. Cris or Rim) Species: Human Gender: Male Age: 26 Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Force Orientation: Neither Light nor Dark Side. He's not force sensitive. Occupation: Smuggler turned intelligence for the New Republic. Home Planet: Corellia As a young child, Cris was priviliged. His family had a great amount of wealth on Corellia, and he was treated to whatever he pleased. He is formally educated and knows multiple languages. His parents hoped that he would go onto become a senator. Unhappy with his lifestyle, he left home at 18 and was brought under the wing of Jabba the Hutt, learning how to be a prime smuggler. He quickly found out that he was good at the job. Cris continued to smuggle for Jabba until Jabba was killed, and then found out that he needed a new job. The New Republic was looking for informants into the galaxy's smuggling ring, and figuring that it would not only give him a lifestyle that he loved, but also a bit of security, Cris signed up. Now he is the Republic's foremost intelligence person in smuggling subjects. This also brought him closer to the Senate. He enjoys his work, but maybe after all these years, he's just looking for a bit more meaning in life. That doesn't mean that his cocky-Corellian attitude splashed with independence will let him do so. | #45 Jul 07th 2007, 11:14pm

rimeraOkay, I'm a bit nervous about playing two characters, but here goes.Gorgo the Hutt is the son of the late Gardula the Hutt, and relative of Jabba. With Jabba's death, and the fall of the Empire, there has been quite a bit of fighting over who controls Tatooine, given it's strategic location (definitely not it's economy) in the Outer Rim. Through careful plotting, bargaining, threats and the occasional assassination, Gorgo has made his way to the top of the food chain, and has officially brought the pirates and smugglers who were used to using Tatooine in their operations together. For the most part, the uprising on Tatooine was under his control... though there was one he answered to, not that he would let anyone know that... | #47 Jul 08th 2007, 6:32am

Amazed, his commanding officer put him through demolition, computer slicing, and security bypass training. Excelling at all, Choc became a popular pick among the training officer corp to be part of their team on training exercises; though he doesn’t make friends easily, he does his job and does it well. Though his skill with a blaster and vibroshiv are not the best, and his scouting and woodsmen skills leave a lot to be desired, he handled himself well and rose to the rank of Corporal. On his third mission, one aimed at the New Jedi Order, most of his unit fell into a trap. Choc vanished, knowing the Empire tolerated no failure, and reappeared on the Outer Rim. Having had his fill of fighting for the Empire, Choc avoided contact with its representatives and those of the New Republic and employed his skills in the area of thievery. His latest job turned out well and he is now stowed away on a private vessel with the loot. Unbeknownst to him, it is one of the same vessels that has been irritating the New Republic. rimeraUm... I know I haven't gotten approval for Gorgo the Hutt yet, but I'm gonna go ahead and post as him, if that's okay. If there's something wrong with the character, I'll change it. Also, he isn't meant to be the mastermind behind all of this... I'm assuming a Sith is giving him orders, or manipulating him, and I'm leaving an opening for whoever wants to jump in. But if all the pirates and smugglers are getting together, there's gotta be someone behind it.| #50 Jul 08th 2007, 9:21am
