White Rabbit TaleOkay, I have a winter-y challenge. Base a fic around Robert Frost's poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening." If you don't know the poem, here is a link to it: http://www.americanpoems.com/poets/robertfrost/12103. You don't need to include the poem in the fic at all, but the title should be derived from the poem Story must be in first person. Story must include snow, ice or anything of the wintery sort (rain does not count, no matter how many people are having a wet New Year! I know we are...) The fic must have something to do with travel. It can be actual, physical travel or travel of a metaphorical sort, but it must be a main theme. So read the poem, think about what it means and then write! Genre, pairings and rating are all optional. |

Starian PrincessHmm.. alrighty then! *grins* Challenge: Take My Heart Back Type: A oneshot Pairing: Any Kaoru pairing (except for Kenshin/Kaoru or Battousai/Kaoru) Guidelines: This must be based on Jennifer Love Hewitt's song, "Take My Heart Back" and it must clearly show the way you've interpreted the lyrics. As the site does not allow posting the lyrics, you can place a teeny chosen part at the beginning or end but you have to clearly state that it is not your own. It's up to you whether you wish for it to be written dramatically or comically. Just be sure to tell me about it when you post it. *winks* |

DustiiOkay, after an interesting discussion, this pairing has REALLY got me thinking. The challenge: Write an Alternate Universe story with the pairing Yahiko/Kaoru. I'm very curious as to how it will turn out. Remember, it has to be AU, and the characters must still be as IC as possible. That means Yahiko must still be saying 'busu', not reciting poetic phrases on Kaoru's eternal beauty or what not! Any rating, any genre, could be oneshot or multi chap, though I really would like to see a multi chap story. Have fun! |

Broken Quill and Scattered InkOOOh! I was actually thinking of this last night... Challenge on the pairing: Kaoru and Okita I read this great K/O fic called "Sunrise from Edo". The author is a wonderful writer, and her fics are one of the most beautiful I've ever read! I reccomend all you out there to read it! (its like, the only one under the category of K/O). Ok. DeserayI am thinking about taking your challenge. I always desired to write an Aoshi/Kaoru fanfiction but never found the inspiration to do so. However, I do not know when I will post it up. the sacred nightI have an interesting little idea taking root in my brain... I bet I have a pairing none of you have seen before... and neither have I. I challenge someone to write a one-sided KenshinXAkira fic. It must deal with their one and only battle, and therefore must include Akira's death scene. It must be one-shot. It must be in first-person, but you choose which of them to use as your "I." It must be one-sided, meaning only one of them is attracted to the other, not both, but you choose which one is attracted to which. It should be serious and on the dark side. RawrrOne thing I've been wanting to read about is a Kenshin/Shuura pairing. Remember...Shuura was the lady pirate in the earlier episodes, I think the three episodes starting at 26. When I watched the episodes, I thought that it would have been interesting to see a Kenshin/Shuura pairing, but when I recently came to search for one, I couldn't find any really; only 4 or so early on unfinished fics. I think a lot of people would appreciate a fic on this topic, and if written well, would end up on a lot of favorites.| #19 May 29th 2006, 11:59pm | |

the sacred nightKnow what I would like to see? This is actually a canon pairing, but one that nobody ever writes about. I want to see a fic with Katsura X Ikumatsu as the main pairing. Ever since I thought of this idea I have been starting to work them in as a side pairing in my story "Only Time," although the chapter with them in it hasn't been posted yet. I thought of this when I was issuing a challenge about a month ago to write a pairing you have never seen before, because I wanted an example of how it could be a canon pairing and still count for the challenge. I love Katsura to the depths of my soul, and I love getting to see how that man's mind works, which means I love seeing him interact with people and what kinds of things he would do in different situations, and we hardly ever see him in a romantic setting. When we do, or when I do anyway, it's usually an altpair and usually it's Katsura/Kenshin yaoi. Not that I don't also adore that pairing, but I'd like to see him with Ikumatsu since that would be such a different situation entirely and since we know for a fact that he was with her, whereas any yaoi involving him is rather more based on speculation, if not pure fantasy.| #21 Jun 01st 2006, 4:17pm | |

If you want the mp3 just send me a pm. The Challange is about finding the most precious thing while in darkness and without hope. Main themes (please pick 3.) could include Frog, fairytales, Coats, Docks, bones, cigarrettes, or lemons. I would ask that there be no lemon but if you want go ahead.
