Topic: So what was THE moment for everyone?

So what's your fav. Fai/Kuro moment? Or, if you'd like, what was the scene that made you like the pairing, and why?

The whole oni-fight-Fai-rescue-"I-hate-people-like-you" scene has always been my fav. Anyone else care to comment? I love dissecting totally innocent scenes and making them slashy ^^.

I liked the part where they both were fighting the oni... well i just like when they were in Outo or w/e that place is called... thats where we mainly see them both together!

I just like the scenes where they discuss whatever matter is at hand. For example, the end of Volume 2 (the line "I also think there's a certain strength that's needed to be able to cry when you should" is just great), and the end of Volume 5 (chapitre 35)... It's those moments that really show off their personalities and how different or alike they are in some respects.

Well, yes, it's true, Outo was full of beautiful Kuro/Fye... You know, when Oruha was singing Kaze no Machi e while Kurogane and Fye were fighting together... it was sublime... and then, when Fye was saying 'he wanted someone to take him away'... because of those two scenes, I consider Kaze no Machi e Kuro-pii and Fye's love theme! ^_^

But there are a lot of scenes I love. For example, remember when Kuro-puu didn't want to eat chocolate cake and Fye just stuffed it into his mouth? (hilarious) And when Kuro was furious when he realizes the name Fye had given him in Outo (Big doggie! Kawaii)...

But, definitely, one of my favorite scenes is when they have to fight against each other during that tournament... Fye was just mocking him, and then he ran away at the voice of 'Hyuu!'. Lol. I love those two.

haha, i actually adore the 'i hate people like that' scene, where fai is hurt, and kuro uses his sword/sheath (i don't have direct reference x.x) to lift fai's chin ^^

This is random, , but it was that moment in the anime when they were fighting the demons and Fai gets hurt, not the whole ordeal mind you, just that one moment where you see Fai crushed agianst the wall and Kurogane steps in front of him and holds out his sword in front of like, protectivly. That was so cute! I had to watch that a billion times before I got over it. It was a really silent moment but I found it really meaningful.

i guess there was that hing in outo at the clover bar, when Fye tells kurogane he's changed in piffle, and kurogane says teh same thing to fye, the amount of times ive seen fye4 say that kurogane notices things that he doesnt want noticed(the effect of hearing "Ashura" and a moment in vol 12). i could list them all (im a newly converted shipper ^_^) but i might end up spoilig some cuz ive read up to ch 108

and that time whenthey were fighting eachother in the ep "sterngth and kindness" WAS hilarious the way fye just went about teasing Kuro!! XD

The entire part where they were fighting the oni. And the part where Kurogane lifted his chin with his sheathe ^_^; Let's see...and I think all the nicknames Fai uses...it's like he's screaming at Kurogane that he likes him. The line Kurogane gave him..."If someone tries to steal something I've decided to protect, I will kill" just sent up red flags for me because he was just protecting Fai! Ok, enough rambling ^_^

Exactly! When Mokona said that Fai was defeated by the oni...I thought Kurogane was going to go all psycho. And he did, in his own little Kurogane way. But I'm sure he was very relieved to find Fai safe and very much alive ^_^

I loved during that scene how Kurogane's face was all shaded... almost as if CLAMP was telling us "not yet, my pretties, not yet!" Almost as if they kind of secretly WANTED to have him show this emotion, but were aware that it wasn't the appropriate time in the storyline for him to do so. Or, at least, that's how I perceived it. Kind of like an "this-could-be-taken-either-way" deal.

It's kind of like how in Sharano Fai's reaction to the name Ashura isn't shown or mentioned until a few chapters later. I think CLAMP kind of likes giving us hints, but they don't necessarily want to make it official. Yet.

(I don't consider the Ashura thing to be a spoiler since it's been published in the English Del Rey, but if I spoiled something for someone, sorrrry! You can hit me now.)

dont forget that one scene in the movie when the 2 of them were in that water thing, Fye said "You sure look handsome with that water pouring over you" how much of a flirt is THAT?? *^_^*

What I love is that Kurogane doesn't even react to it. He reacts to the names, but not to the handsome comment. He just pretends it wasn't even said. Furthermore, we aren't even shown his face during the entire transaction, so we can't see how he took it!! :(

I bet he liked it ;)

((Oh, and btw, his face was all shaded in the manga... I'm not sure if they did the same in the anime, it's been too long since I saw it. But the manga kicks the anime's ** in so many different ways...))

they didnt do the same with the anime(i think.), BUT if you watch where the oni throws Fye into the wall in ep 19 and watch Kuro closely, you can see how desperatly he wanted to protect fye (its only a br3if second but its there. his eye's sorta flash when fye collapses.)

and about the handsome comment scene, i think we might have seen a little something had the ORIGiNAL animation team had done the movie.

Despite Kuro's lack of reaction, I'm glad the movie had a different animation team. I thought the animation was beautiful and so fluid! And not showing Kuro's reaction is just another one of those "almost shounen-ai" things- it's like halfway to being a moment, but they have to sever it before it actually becomes something. Siiiiigh.

your probly right. the biggest beef that i had with the way they looked in the movie was their outfits (especialy of those two)and the fact that you couldt really see fye's eyes (atleast not the way they looked in the show). i do hope that theyll put more into that pairing in the second season, tho they really have a lot to make up for it cuz i think by this point in the plot of the manga, there was a LITLE something =P

I actually liked the outfits, for the most part. They took some getting used to, granted, but the only thing that kind of bugged me was Kuro's gold dog-collar thing.

They totally need to make up for some missed Kuro/Fai moments in the second season. They cut out the drunk!scene! I hope they don't lose the hug from the bunny country. That was so cute!

The entire Outo Arc was one gigantic KuroFai moment for me. They were actually one of my first shounen-ai pairings ever, but I wasn't entirely convinced about it until the Outo Arc came out. Especially that scene where Kurogane lifts Fai's head up with his sheath and tells him he hates people "like you." That made me squeal and go, "Yes! My mind's made up! I'm all for Kurogane/Fai now!"

welll... they'd caught my eye fromt he very beginning, with fai's teasing. and outo country, of course. in was hooked.

then they have their serious moments, which i also love.

and fai when says that he wants someone to take him away, i automatically think kurogane.

but that really sealed it for me what what kurogane did to save fai. and fai's response. XDDD it's CANON darnit.

SPOILERS.

Like you, ZeeofGreenEyes, I like making innocent scens seem like something more.

As many people have said here, Outo was where it got a little obvious (Kurogane did look more worried in the anime when Fay was attacked), but even then I wasn't very convinced. At the time I knew little about CLAMP and I didn't think they'd really go that route. I thought I was simply crazy. After all, Kurogane probably didn't see the need for Fay to die, so he saved him. I wanted to believe it a little more when Kurogane looked really sad when Seishirou admits to "killing" him and Syaoran in Outo. Like someone mentioned, CLAMP might have thought Kurogane being emotional this early in the anime/manga would be too soon.

By the time Kurogane gives blood to Fay, I was pretty convinced about CLAMP's intentions. The arm-cutting and eye-color removal sealed the deal.

The weird thing is, I can't really pinpoint where Kurogane started caring for Fay (in a way, it's not official canon, though I think it's pretty damn close). I do find it funny that Kurogane must have started finding Fay attractive at one point (not just personality -- Fay is just so pretty XD). That's probably why the couple is so appealing to me -- Kurogane can keep his bad-** exterior and somehow balance liking a blue-eyed blonde beauty. XD Everything they sacrifice for each other is just so heart warming.

Not exactly fave, but it IS a KuroxFai moment. The part in the movie (The one with the bird kingdom thingy) where Kurogane's under a pouring stream of water and Fai's like "You look so sexy with water pouring on you like that."

Also, the part in the OVA when Kurogane decided he wanted to save Fai's life.

When they met, and started talking at the same time, Kurogane gives him the whole "glare-glare-I'm-a-psycho-don't-mess-with-me look" while Fai was all "...8D"

Okay, it wasn't that moment that got me hooked. 8D Though the nicknames were hilarious, what really hooked me was Outo.

I positively adore the sad but obviously romantic event where he pays the price in order for Fay to live: Fay becoming a vampire. That just shows their true love, doesn't it? Nyahahaha

And I agree, Outo Country was great too, especially the part where Kuro carries Fay... And in Edonis, when Kurogane fought Seishirou, it was obvious that he was furious because he thought Fay was dead... Oh, and Koryo wasn't so bad too, when they were figting the Kiishim and Fay's like, "Next time you move me, do it with a little more care, hm?" (Or something like this... I just quoted from memory...) Oh, and the thing in Rekord, when he started the stupid "Daddy" joke and Mokona was like, "Mother Fay"! Oh, and the one in piffle when Fay KNEW that Kurogane was injured... It was just so sweet...

Obviously, I adore the "nickname-baptism" scene the most, when he started to call him "Kuro-tan..." Oh, and the scene in volume seventeen when he told Yuuko-san that he intended to call him by his name at first? That's proof that he was flirting with him from day one... Nyahahaha...

Hmm...I think that scene for me that just made completely fall in love with the pairing was either the part in Outo, where Kurogane tilts Fai's face up to look at him and says that he hates people like Fai, or the ever-so famous vampire transformation scene.

For me, it was either the scene in Oto Country when Fai says, "Well then you must hate me the most." or when way, way further down the road, Fai punches Kurogane. Although, I always liked them together before the punch.

Well, I love basically any scene with the 2 of them together, and a lot of my favorites you've already named, but there were two moments I thought of that no one else has named yet. I love the moment in piffle World after kurogane is disqualified from the race and Fai is checking on him. Fai grabs kurogane's hand because he's hurt! *fangirl squeal* The other moment I love is in the acid tokyo arc, when kurogane is talking to Fai about where he stands and grabs his elbow. So cute!

No ones mentioned it yet but the best moment for me is when after they leave Celes and transport to kurogane's world. When they land fay is crying and calling out kurogane's name, and then the princess tells fay that kurogane won't die.
