Jeb!fic. We have about three so far. And I think I wrote one of them.

Scientist!fic in general. Again, about three and I wrote one of them.

Omega!fic. It just doesn't seem to exist, and he's a really interesting character with a lot of potential. (Yeah, even though I'm writing an Omega!fic, I'd like to see more.)

AU!fic or future!fic I've got huge soft spots for. The further in the future, the better. (Again, I'm writing a looooong AU!future!fic. But would like to see more. And preferably not "Flock has kids" future!fic. Gimme OCs who interact with the aging Flock.)

Yeah, most people don't have a good joiner. They never end up meshing with the flock in my mind.

But practically all of the seventh flier fics are Sues or really bad self-inserts, so maybe someone should write a good one.

But anyway, what life from Jeb's POV? Or an explanation of the Director's world view? I've only read one story for each of those plotbunnies.

I haven't actually read to many fics that have had foresight, and just because I'm picky its actually called clairvoyance, which I'm sure I spelt wrong. I'm going to have a character in my fic about the end of the world, and he has glimpses of the future. But then he is comatose and only wakes up at random times to spout nonsense about the future. So i think that gives it an edge of originality

Like a sage no one ever listens to? Haha, it does sound unique. Especially if you make him act crazy without knowing it whenever he wakes up. Trapped in a mental hospital with no way out so you can't tell anybody what's coming, or something like that... It's definitely unusual.

Ooh, you should throw in how your charrie loves white jackets because he got so used to them at the hospital, Blade! 'Twould add in a bit of hilarity to an otherwise somber-sounding fic. :)

Jeb/Valencia fluff. Involves Valencia's pet name being "Valentine". It would be terribly cute and set sometime in the late 80s - early 90s. I may or may not actually decide to write this one someday, but anyone at all is welcome to take a whack at it.

I was thinking more along the lines of jackets that are white, not actual straitjackets. Though he can have one on standby in case he needs to go into his comfort zone or something.

I have just been struck by inspiration. Seriously. And the thing is, it's something that a lot of people could incorporate into their fics, not just me. So I'm throwing it out here for everyone to use.

First, though, I need to fill you in a bit on the Itex background I designed for one of my stories. See, the fact that Itex HQ was located in Germany always seemed to be more than coincidence to me. After all, who has been the proverbial "bad guys" in the last two world wars? (No offense intended, Inkheart, as you're not involved in this in any way except geographically.) And with the fall of the Nazi party, a lot of the higher ups fled the country or went underground. Basically, the Nazis aren't really dead, though the party itself has been stripped of power and is despised by many. WW2 veterans are still around; that means so are the Nazis who escaped the purges.

So the appearance of a worldwide corporation that controlled half the world in Germany has always seemed to be, consciously or unconsciously, associated with the Nazi party. Also, the Nazis had a history of performing experiments on humans (just look at Auschwitz). But another thing they've had a history on is performing experiments upon the German people. Anybody ever heard of the Nazi breeding program, designed to create the best soldiers in all the world? (I saw a documentary about this on Discovery Channel a few months ago; I'm not making this stuff up.)

Yada yada, a lot of people have caught the same hints I have. I've seen a fic or two where Itex is given a Nazi background. Nothing new, right?

Here's something new: what about Angel and Gazzy's eye and hair colors? They're the perfect Aryans, and their blue eyes and pale blond hair have been mentioned many times in canon. Sure, JP made the perfect cute little kids; but these kids also show the traits that Hitler thought so highly of. Add to that the fact that they're the last two of the flock, and I sense that something's up.

Has anyone else wondered why Angel and Gazzy are the only two relatives? Why would Itex go to so much trouble to secure the same parents for Angel as they had for Gazzy? Is it because the first four members of the flock really were from gutter trash because Itex didn't care much about what the kids looked like? But later, it seems, they did care about appearances.

Max is incredibly lucky to be alive. So many things could have gone wrong with her. But she was a success, and a few months later Fang was also deemed one. Iggy came after that, and then things started clicking. Precedents had been set. This type of experiment worked on humans. Was it now time to move on to the next phase? One more experiment was created, just to be sure that things were working well. Perhaps it was also because words were circulating in high places, and the bosses wanted to see another success before they began to seek out the parents who would father the new Aryan super-race. So Nudge was made successfully, and Itex hunted down blond, blue-eyed donors for the next generation. The first test group had served its purpose; they had shown that this type of hybrid was workable. But now? Nothing but the best for the rebirth of the Aryan race!

And so Gazzy was born, fully functioning and with blond hair and bright blue eyes. Two years later they sought out the donors to request another egg from them, this one for a girl. She was made, brought into being, and now Itex has its two successes, the opening act to the next generation...

Sheesh, I fell into story mode automatically. Haha. But seriously, what do you think, guys? The coincidences are building...

The only problem with the other-hybrid thing going on is that no one actually writes /them/. Sure, you get other hybrids, but they're all 'flocks' headed up by people who are fourteen ish. And there are people under twelve, but they don't answer any questions as far as OMG!there must be more hybrids! And that genius baby in MR3 just annoyed me.

Also, Omega fits into the whole Aryan theory, and Mara's a soldier, and the chameleon boys are spies. Personally, I have issues with other hybrids because they get taken out of context by fficcers, but those ones fit to this theory.

So, anyone for an AU that starts out with the rather large 'the nazi's didn't lose wwII?' and finishes up with 'everyone becomes Dr. Mengele's/Marian Janessen's/other nasties bitch?' The ultimate in racial cleansing followed by forced evolution. Imagine the possibilities.

So. True. I mean, is there no one who pulls off an escape alone? (I mean, I don't even get the whole "seventeen is the age limit" bit of fanon we have. This is why we have not!School secret genetic engineering labs. [I may have beat the fandom to a part of that. One of my hybrid!OCs? Turns 42 this year. My favorite scientist!OC? Just had his 44th birthday. And then my teenager!OC? 19 this December. {Yes. I picked birthdays for them.}] But it's pretty much a fandom-wide thing: All hybrid!OCs must be seventeen or under. If writing a future!AU, all scientists are described as grey and wrinkly, because no one young chooses genetics as their field.

I think I'm going to work that into the Angel!clone story I'm working on, because I don't have a real plot for it, just the beginning premise. But why would it have to be AU? Is it seriously out of the question that the Nazis channeled their money and the brilliant scientists they accumulated during WW2 into an aboveground corporation designed to take over the world? I'm not so sure that it would require an AU heading for the "Nazi reborn" plot if it was handled well.

I began thinking about the whole nazi thing right after the 1st book. And when it came to the third book I was positive.

I wrote a fic about it, it was like 2 or 3 chapters but it was in the way of my other stuff. I'm in the process of redoing it. Its basically a..well it could be seen as AU, its from the POV of 3 different soldiers through the war. And how Itex was secretly involved. Simply the by half plan, basically *is* hitlers final solution. I intend on leaving subtle references to the MR books. Das Messias-Projekt and Projekt Fall von Engeln.

I do love the idea of a reamergence of nazi's...man if I'd thought of that for my "end of the world" fic.

What were they doing in between? Where are those hybrids? What about the new ones, those born after Angel?

Now that I begin thinking about it, why was the place Max and Co. were held called the School? Perhaps that's where they educated the other hybrids and brainwashed them into thinking the Nazi way. And maybe Angel and Gazzy got into the flock because Jeb wanted Max to have little kids to protect... Nah, that's kind of farfetched. But what if it was because they were the only two kids in the new superhuman-avian race who were being tested with the flock so the scientists could compare the newer versions to the old versions? Who says the rescue had to be entirely planned anyway? Maybe Jeb just decided to bolt and take as many hybrids he could get his hands on, and Angel and Gazzy happened to fit the last criteria.

Hell, that solves some of the plotholes I've been having with my Pre-Flight fic. *snatches idea and holds it close*

I alway thought that with Angel there was definite reasoning for the grab-and-run. She's "The Fabled Subject Eleven" and there's no way they would have let her go willingly if she's that good, unless they'd found out all they could at the time and wanted to see how she'd deal with 'normals'.

Either that or she's a plant to give info on how the rest of the flock think. Mindreader=ultimate spy.

What makes Max + co think that the scientists are overall the bad people anyway? Yes, they're totally unethical, and yes they're torturing babies, but they're trying to save 'humanity' by improvement. Shocking, that.

Plot idea - underwater people can survive a nuclear war because they're selfsufficient and water is radioatively absorbant = make underwater people like Angel's crap ass power. Which sucked. Because there's no reason for HER to have that ability.

Plot idea the second - photosynthesising people, who don't need to eat as much and just require sunlight.

Good ideas, but photosynthesising people would be green due to chloroplasts, and would it even be possible to splice human and plant DNA?

DNA isn't the problem- you should be able to splice any DNA together, right? *is unsure* The big problem would be keeping the experiments alive.

What about hybrids who are created but whose bodies give out? Put it in their POVs, let them see all the other ones dying, and know that they're next. But no eleventh-hour rescue; just dying kids who've never seen the outside.

Thats an awesome idea, I'd do it if i werent bogged down with like 4 fics, homework and trying to start a webcomic.

Grr the Nazi reamergance thing is bugging me though. I have even thought of a way I could implement it..grrr.

On a side note, very few people admit to this cos...it sounds crazy...but in a way you really have to admire Hitler. he had an abusive childhood, he wanted to be an artist but was put in the army. he turned germany's economy around and although was a dictator and minus the obvious things he actually made germany an all round better country. he was easily one of the worlds best political leaders. : I have been watching a movie about him in History

Totally agree with you about Hitler - he was brilliant and totally insane. What kind of person does it take to go from nothing to the most despised person in recet history? He would have won ww2 if mussolini hadn't fucked up as well, which should scare everyone. If he'd hit russia in summer like he planned then he would have won.

I swear I've written number 3. (The villain of the story, who happened to be a scientist, got crucified to an outside wall of the building he worked in. He survived, but... well, he can't walk. At all.) And I think I'm writing number 2 right now, except they're both fucked up nutcases. (The fun part being that they don't realize it, and both happen to be vicious dissections of a fandom-fave pairing from another fandom I'm in.) But no, not taking either. Because I'm an honorable person, I suppose... oh, I give up, AP testing has mushed my brain into tiny, mushy... mush-bits.

I can empathize; the Angel!clone story I've been working on fits perfectly into the "Nazi's didn't lose" plan... it's tons of fun, because she now has a pathological fear of blond people and dyes her hair brown.

Seconded. But unfortunately everyone I know looks at me strangely when I start talking about how Hitler was a genius. And then they go "OMG Jew-hater!" It really pisses me off.

It's just as well for me, because I found out three days ago that due to an epic screwup on my dad's part, I can't go to summer school like I planned to. Aside from writing, I'm going to have nothing to do during June.

Also, plotbunny here: Max gets captured, and the flock remains free, but written from a viewpoint other than Max or Fang's.
