I just read a news article (from a newsletter that I receive from the website Loop) that FOX bought the right to do a live action movie of Tsubasa, I don't know it it is true, but maybe they did it because they think that Tsubasa is going to be a hit, when it reaches the United States.

P.S. Who do you think should play the role as Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane and Fay? It is also rumoured that the Olsen twins will play Sakura. I CERTAINLY HOPE NOT!

itd be interesting to see a LA version of Tsubasa, but it wont work out unless CLAMP see things thru. (have you ever heard of the long-lost Saban trailer of Sailor Moon?) wehen an american company tries to reinterpret an anime into LA it doesnt work out really. which is why there will probly never be a PGSM dub :-(

And I highly doubt that any North American company is doing a live action version of Tsubasa, considering the anime hasn't even made its way over here yet (it's on its way though...). Until I see production photos, I will not believe it, and if it ever happens (please, for the sake of my sanity, no) I will refuse to watch it unless I hear that it is unbelievably spectacular and nothing less.

I saw a clip from my school anime club about one Japanese did for Sailor Moon. I was laughing hysterically on how thoses people do not look good in real life and the poses...but it could not work out seriously.

Trust me. Live action anime SUX.

aparently tsubasa isnt the only anime. Sailor moon suposedly got bought by fox and is going to star linsay lohan, with joss wheden as the writer. oi.

Buuuut... If they did do it, here are some random people they could use as the actors...

Doing an animated full-length movie of Tsubasa's fine, but a live action movie will have the possibilites of ruining the whole thing. I mean, it's just not appropros. Sure, it's famous, it's a hit, but doing a live movie of it is simply overboarding way too much. It's just kinda ruining the whole thing.

I have to agree with you. doing a live action movie on Tsubasa is just going to ruin the whole anime. It is also going to be a shameful thing for hardcore anime fans like me. I don't care if people love the movie, anime is anime. Never make anime into live movies. Its despicable.

I agree with Midnight Mystique. It would be awesome if they made an animated film for Tsubasa, but a live-action.... I don't know. It doesn't sound like the kind of anime they should turn into live-action. I mean, look what they did to Sailor Moon. I only saw the opening for the live-action, and I thought why the HECK would they do this to Sailor Moon!!?!? I even heard a rumor about a live-action Full Metal Panic! However, Zac Efron(who was rumored to play as Sousuke) said it was highly unlikely.

So yeah... I don't think they should do a live-action film of Tsubasa.

Forget about what I wrote earlier. I just think there will be a live action movie on Tsubasa.

1) Well... it will cost really lots of $$ but this is Hollywood.

2) Not a lot of live action movies based on anime/manga did well in chartboxes (sp?)

3) If it is a series then the first few parts will be PG I guess cause the manga was humorous but towards the end I think it will become NC16? Or it will stay at PG as it is quite gory in it. (I thought it was shonen then...)

4) It will be a miracle if the movie was a success. I don't think any actors/actresses besides the Japanese can act out Sakura-hime and gang's voices. (I might be wrong... there are talented people out there)

5) It will be in english. (I have no idea why this reason is in here)

Ah... done with my reasons... Tsubasa is big as it is from Clamp and Clamp is big so Hollywood better do a good job if they do a live-action. Meh, I;m being a grump. -walks away-

I think... that if a live movie ever does come out... I will not watch it. I love Tsubasa to death which is why I will not watch the movie. They're most likely to change things and pretty much twist the plot line to their every wish. Most of the time, live-action movies made about books, mangas or animes completely destroy the story for everyone. I just don't think anybody will be able to make Tsubasa as good of a movie as it should be.
