Topic: The Blackest Night: Christmas Challenge

Okay, a challenge! Well, duh... XD

I thought long and hard (well, not *that* long and hard, but stil...), and came up with a... thingie: "The blackest night shall darken all souls, shall be the puppeteer of every good heart. All shall welcome oblivion, at the very end; it will be a mercy from the eternal hell of purest evil." Not so keen, but oh well...

All you have to do is:

1) Must be set on Christmas Eve

2) It must be snowing, or there must be a significant reason for it *not* to be (XD)

3) It must include above... thingie

4) Must be about a Black (see random discussion (I think?) for exactly who's Black and who's not)

5) No dialogue, because I'm just nasty like that... EDIT: THIS RULE IS HEREBY RENOUNCED

6) Must include some memories...

God, that seems so specific! If you want to take part, either PM me, or post here. I think I'm gonna steal the idea of 'claiming' characters, because I really don't want, like a load of fics ALL about Sirius, or all about Andromeda or something... so, if someone claims a character, they're the only one who can have that character...

Anie, you can post stories twice as long as you say where else it is, I think. I posted my Rainbow Magic piece on my own profile, and nobody's yelled at me yet....=].

Okay, I'm being annoying with my multiple replies here, so sorry, but Bonnie, when you say 'No dialogue' do you mean none whatsoever, or just direct speech. Like, is it okay to say something like

"Once upon a time I was told that the blackest night shall darken all souls, shall be the puppeteer of every good heart. All shall welcome oblivion, at the very end; it will be a mercy from the eternal hell of purest evil. I never quite understood this until now, and I wish I was still that ignorant."

(probs. not actually a part of my fic, this is just an example)

Also, can you split the two sentences up? Like, have the first sentence about the blackest night somewhere in the middle of the fic, and the one about welcoming oblivion at the end?

I'm getting my hair dyed today, it's brown with blonde streaks now, but the blonde's all washed out and faded, and I want dark chocolate brown. So yes, woot, go brunettes. =)

As the saying goes - Blondes have more fun, brunettes remember it the next day.
