As a matter of fact, I have... A very, very, very simple children's version years and years ago, but I got the gist of it! ^^

Well, myths are probably a lot more interesting than the crap we're made to read most of the time. I never though I'd see the day when I'd be *happy* to read Shakespeare! I mean, anything but the mindless twatter of authors that msut've bribed the publishers to get the thing published... anyway, before I begin to rant again about why we should studdy HP in English, how are you? :P

I have the whole week off, since it's Presidents' Week (or is it only a day?) and therefore we don't have school! So, I'm basically thrilled at the prospect of sleeping in alll week! XD

Don't you wish you were American?

I really wish we could study HP in English class. It's so much better than most school literature (which I usually end up liking anyway, but that's beside the point) and it talks about adult themes like war and grwing up with no parents and corruption in the government...etc, etc.

But no, instead we spent a whole week on the prologue of Romeo and Juliet.

Much Ado About Nothing? We did that last year! With the girl (Viola) who dresses up like a guy (Sebastian, her brother) and then some other girl (Olivia?) falls in love with her...oh, wait, that's Twelfth Night, sorry.

Much Ado About Nothing...read in school, grade eight to be exact.

The play takes place in Italy during a war, the main characters being Hero, Beatrice, Benedick and Claudio. Claudio is quiet and a solider who is in love with Hero the shyer girl, while Benedick (also a soldier) and Beatrice have a love/hate, bickering type of relationship and are both loud, boisterous and talktive. Benedick can be hardheaded while Beatrice is a bit more sensible.

...and that's all I remember from the play. :D

I'm sure there's someone who can exlain it better than I can.

Inspiration? What inspiration? :P I haven't been wiritng much lately... a huge plot bunny latched its grippy little teeth into my ankle in the early hours of the morning a few days ago for some Sirius/Marlene for the RL Valentine's challenge, but school's kinda stressing me out at the moment. Options and all that crap. :)

Or are we talking about two different things? Our Options are these things we need to write in English every week. It can be a review, a short story, a poem, etc. But not a fanfic. I asked my teacher and she was like "...What's fanfiction?" and I was like "A story that's based on something that already exists." It basically took me, like, five minutes to explain what a fanfic was, and then she asked "Well, why wouldn't you just create your own charcters and your own story?" and I was like "...Forget it."

So, what's up?

*sigh* Basically, I can choose 4 subjects to continue with throughout the rest of my school years. There' the core subjects (Maths, English, Science, IT, etc) but all others must be dropped.

So yes, I'm ultimately deciding my career, in a very broad sense. For example, if I dropped German, I could hardly start work as a translator, could I now? Not that I want to be a translator, that's just an example. :)

Jonathan Ive & the Apple team created the iMac and the, probably significantly more popular, iPod. :P

You cannot give students a worksheet with vague instructions and completely irrelevant prompts and expect us to turn in something even semi-coherent!

"The Hunt" Easter Challenge:

The Rules-

The brief is to write a oneshot or a twoshot/threeshot etc (like Katy -Bad Mum- did for her Valentine's Challenge), including a few prompts. The oneshot (or two or three etc) has to be based on the item:

-The Hunt (or A Hunt)

You must include at least two of the following things:

-An egg

-Five Fingers

-Dancing

-Flowers

-Chocolate/Candy

-Kiss

-Warmth

-Spring

-Coldness

-Feelings

-Embracing

-Eyes

The Minimum of words is: 900 (I don't think that's too harsh, wouldn't that be a page or two?)

For this challenge, I've decided that we should use pairings.

You must claim your pairings at either Memory Butterfly (my forum: http://www.fanfiction.net/forum/Memory_Butterfly/35457) or the Reviews Lounge. You might also want to claim the pairing at ToManyLetters' forum: Sober Universe (http://www.fanfiction.net/forum/The_Sober_Universe/40863/). If ToManyLetters hasn't yet made a topic claim at the formers.

I figured we could use some help claiming.

The 5 Days and Feelings Challenge

Pick a pairing of your choice, but one pairing per person, and write a fanfiction including 5 chapters, or more, or less.

You will need to include these prompts:

Monday - Sight

Tuesday - Hear

Wednesday - Smell

Thursday - Taste

Friday - Feel

The senses can be in different orders, but the days have to be in sequence. Miss out Saturday & Sunday though, unless you want to include a sense that is metaphysical.

The rest is up to you: pairings, genre, rating, length etc.
